  I paid H&R Block to file my taxes for the 2023 tax year. The federal and state returns were accepted on March 7, 2024. H&R Block first received the tax refund to collect their fee. According to our agreement, they had 21 days to send the remaining refund to the account I provided. I still have not received the refund. I called H&R Block’s customer service department dozens of times and received different answers each time, none of which helped. When I sent a formal complaint letter to H&R Block on May 21, 2024, they informed me they would follow up with USAA Federal Savings Bank to inquire about the funds. I have never banked with USAA. I called H&R Block to inform them of the same, but they refused to listen, instead insisting that I call USAA directly to resolve this issue. It has been three months since H&R Block received my refund. H&R Block’s refusal to remedy its mistake has adversely affected my credit and personal finances.

  We are currently sitting one year out from our taxes being filed and our returns were deposited into the wrong account. We verified our account information and they sent our entire return to a completely different bank and routing number. Very difficult to work with. The supervisor refused to call me back, own up to the mistake, refund their services, or offer any help to rectify THEIR mistake. The other bank and state will not talk to us since it was filed by a professional.

  I applied for an emerald advance loan in November 2023. Have been doing so for 15 plus years. Approval has ALWAYS been based on projected refund. If not getting a refund in the past we were denied the loan this year 2023 we were not told that we would not be getting a federal refund , but we're approved for a 1300 dollar loan. We would not have taken this loan , if we had been told that we would not be able to repay it by our refund as we have always done this has left us with a difficult financial burden.

  We met with a tax specialist for our business on March 12, 2024 for our LLC tax filing.
  After 80 DAYS,
  eleven emails,
  two voice mail messages,
  two drop-in visits,
  a second face-to-face meeting and
  four MyBlock portal messages
  
  our business taxes and K1s are still not complete and the specialist refuses to respond to my inquiries.

  I received horrendous service and they refuse to refund me. They did not file my taxes and claimed they needed information from me, but never told me. It took multiple calls to even figure out the problem. Then, I couldn't even efile. I just received a letter from the IRS demanding I pay late fees and penalties over this. What an awful service! I will never use H&R Block again. What a bogus oligopoly they have.

  I’ve had nothing but problems with H&R Block, sad to say my wife and I use them for quite a number of years much to my regret now. They have screwed our taxes up at least three times, now this most recent I got audited on 2020 state property tax and had to pay in $1200 of which 100 of it was interest that you guys were supposed to pay and I filled all of the paperwork brought in the papers from the state to the Burnsville Mn office Katy B*****. She said that H&R Block had made the mistake and there was some rigmarole that I had to go through in order to get my hundred dollars and I’ve been waiting for it now for months. This is ridiculous so much for their guarantee about making a mistake and then they’ll they’ll pay for it, I had to pay $1200. Again they owe for interest charged!

  My tax returned was not done right took almost 5 months to get my refund and have no clue of what the tax preparation lady did for the IRS to have to fix the error.. I have put more the one complaint and my problem has yet to be resolved.

  0. Been waiting on a refund on taxes filled due to inaccurate returns. This has been going on since April 2024. It's now almost June and no refund. I've called numerous times for them to rectified the situation with no availability. It's ridiculous I paid for a service to be accurate and was not. Just looking for my refund that is rightfully owned to me.

  They are refusing to give me my tax return I have tried to get in contact with them and cannot get to talk to a person on the phone or by email. The numbers are disconnected and the email is returned as undeliverable.

  Steer clear of the H&R ************ at ***************************! A full month after tax day, this office still has not filed our 2023 tax return despite prompt payment on our part. One of the delays was caused by their software system misinterpreting one of our 1099s. The next delay has been caused by their financial system "losing" my $430 credit card payment (in April) which has apparently caused our tax return to remain stuck in their bizarre software system. I have contacted their staff repeatedly by phone and their online system, and no one is returning my messages. I would give this office zero stars if that were an option. Again, avoid this business at all costs.
