Their sales team is extremely slimey. We bought our first home and a rep came to the door, saying we had all the security for the house paid for and he just needs to come in to see which equipment we have to get set up. What started off as completely free quickly turned into monthly plans. The guy said he needs 5 mins, was in my house for an hour. He could tell we were uncomfortable with this as it wasn’t what he promised at the door. My husband and I said we need to discuss this before moving forward. He convinced us to book an install and said we could cancel it. Luckily I was able to cancel it after calling numerous times and I am glad I read these reviews. But the worst part of all, after asking personal questions and invading our home, he asked us if he could take a picture of us because “they are a family and like to share new members”. We immediately said no and got him to leave. I have never been asked that especially by someone who knows we were unsure of this. This business pries on first time home buyers and lack of knowledge. He lied to me to get into our house (which was previously equipt with ADT so it made sense) & knowing our closing date etc. to say we have a 30 day window for it to be free. I fell for it. Whole thing felt grimy & I feel completely preyed upon. Talking about intruders & the feeling they leave, he made us feel like he intruded us and our space. Do not ever do anything with this business! Deceptive sales practice to say the least.

This company consistently ignores the "no soliciting" sign on my door. I have camera's watching the front of my house and every time a safe haven sales rep has come to sell me ADT services, they have ignored the sign and knocked. Then, if I don't answer, they come back up to the door and try my doorbell. Since my doorbell is a camera, I see them actively ignore the sign.

This company doesn't deserve a single star. I made the huge mistake of letting an ADT/Safe Haven rep come to my home. He was there all day, damaged my home, cut wires without my consent and then after I finally got him out of my home at 8pm, he CAME BACK later that night to have me sign a contract. I was so annoyed and caught of guard by him coming back to my house that I signed the contract so that he would leave but only after I saw the contract could be canceled within three days of signing. So, I called the very next morning. I told them I wanted the equipment he installed taken down. A different rep came to my house a week later and was told to not pick anything up! They refuse to refund me, they refuse to pick up the equipment and they are still billing me monthly even though there is no service being provided to me! I have spoke to 5 different people and they all say the same thing, that I "only partially canceled because I only said I wanted what he had already installed taken down". They simply refuse to do the right thing, which would be to stop billing me and pick up the equipment he left. I have never dealt with such unprofessional people in my life. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME

Scary! They came to my door twice in one day. The first time they knocked HARD for 3 minutes while I was in the shower making my dog go crazy and scratch up my door. The second time was in the dark at 7:30pm again knocking for several minutes. I think they plan to scare you to make you think your home isn't safe. Then they use manipulation and scare tactics to sell to you. Shame on ADT for authorizing them as dealers.

As a first-time home buyer, if I knew then what I know now, I would have turned away the salesmen as soon as they set foot on my property! I am highly dissatisfied with the service and although I am within the six month timeframe of Safe Haven's "Moneyback Guarantee," there are caveats to the caveats so I'm stuck with a barely-functional, subpar "alarm system" in my home for 2.5 more years! Pros: Staff is personable, monthly service fees are somewhat reasonable (but there are better and cheaper options) and service requests are addressed within a week, although that's not saying much for security in the interim. I have far more cons and recognize the pros I listed include cons. Within the span of four months, my system has experienced 3 random issues: (1) faulty door sensor (without obvious cause), (2) the actual deadbolt keypad magically came loose from the door on its own and wouldn't accept my key codes at random times prior to that (I believe I had to wait nearly 2 days for the first available appointment which is also a strike against "security") and (3) the camera mounted in the back of my home shut off on its own in the middle of the night and there was no power outage! IF I were interested in additional features, Safe Haven would nickel and dime me for that and with the current pattern, those options might not work either. I travel for work - what if these things happen while I'm gone? It's bad enough my family is left vulnerable while we're in our home. If I decide to rent? Oh my gosh! My tenants would sue me! The caveats not detailed clearly in my contract? There have to be three separate, reported incidences of the same piece of equipment within the six months. Again, I'm somewhere between 4-5 months with four issues already (one of which I didn't officially report because I had the technician address it when he re-tightened the deadbolt) and just learned that fees for "most" service calls have been waived recently. Wonder why that is?

Safe Haven has been sued by multiple states for using deceptive business practices and violating consumer-protection laws. It would seem that they are still continuing these unethical practices. We just built a house with a builder in FL and someone had come by representing ADT, claiming they were sent by the builder as an affiliate and they the builder should have let us know that she was stopping by. She gained access into our home with no uniform, badge, or business card because she name dropped with builder who we had a good relationship with. We texted the builder after she left and she had NO affiliation with the builder and they did not send her or recommend her in any way. We thought this was very suspicious so we reached out to ADT and Safe Haven but neither could verify her employment because it was a Saturday. There was only a small part of a printed from home brochure she gave us that had Safe Haven's name. We contemplated calling the sheriff and filing a report because we didn't know if she was actually who she said she was and were worried about our safety. Finally Monday, we were able to confirm her employment with Safe Haven as a representative of ADT. Not only will I never get an ADT product in my life now, I will go out of my way to report this incident to any and all Florida Law Enforcement Agencies that will listen.

I moved into a new build home. “ADT” aka 2 safe haven reps came to my door and stated they came to show me how to work my apps. They offered a promotion of 500$ dollars in products as long as we the service w/ them for 1 month. They ran 2 credit cards and stated they couldn’t get it to work so they asked for my ACH info. At this point I still thought I was purchasing extra product. Long story short I was conned into contract w/ them w/ no way out. I called them to cancel my services w/ them after 1 month and they said I couldn’t they gave me the run around and stated I needed to call ADT. I asked why they didn’t disclose this contract was non negotiable prior to signing? Or that I would have to pay a percentage and they said they are not required to disclose that information and that is Adts responsibility. After calling ADT, they stated that we are not officially a customer w/ them and that info should have been disclosed by the 2 Save Haven reps and Concierge Aaron Hensley along with the supervisor. Again Safe Haven stated they are not required to tell you you are locking into a contract you cannot get out of. This practice was unfair and deceptive.

I am writing to complain regarding my recent experience with Safe Haven, an authorized reseller of ADT services. I purchased my home one year ago, and about six months later, a representative from Safe Haven came to my door, selling ADT services. It was only after contacting ADT directly that I realized the salesperson was not an ADT employee but from Safe Haven. Recently, due to my father-in-law's serious illness, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to sell our home and move across the country to care for him and my mother-in-law. When I attempted to cancel my ADT service due to the move, I was informed I would be charged a $1,400 early termination fee, which is equivalent to more than two years' worth of service. I approached Safe Haven to discuss a compromise, offering to pay around $500 to cancel the service—an amount I believed would be fair to both parties. Unfortunately, they refused and insisted I either pay the full $1,400 or continue the service, leaving no room for negotiation. I was also disappointed to learn of the exorbitant cancellation fee only after signing up for the service. Had I been fully informed of this policy at the time, I would not have agreed to it, especially considering how inflexible Safe Haven has been. The representative originally pitched this as a special offer for veterans, like myself, as a way to show appreciation for my service. Unfortunately, this now feels more like a sales tactic than a genuine gesture

The worst !!! They lock you in to a contract without you knowing ! Fast talkers ! Then if you have a financial situation it’s 75% of you contract which is usually 3 yrs. They do docu sign so sign once and then apply it where it’s needed . At no time during installation or while I was talking to them did they tell me about early cancellation fees ! I just want to say that even when I called and explained my situation they did not offer to help in any way with my situation !!!! ADT did but could not because safe haven is the company I’m paying for service through, scam!!!
