    Horrible! I purchased a gun and it was supposed to ship within 7 days and buds said they had it in stock. They didn’t and it was back ordered. I will be out of town for over a month when they are possibly delivering the gun. I called customer service to cxl the order and they would not give me a full refund and said I had to pay 10% even though they were not holding up their end of the deal and could not tell me if the gun was going to ship within a month. I will never buy from them again.

    We apologize if there was any misunderstanding. Our standard processing time frame is 3-7 business days. This order was placed on a Sunday 2/4 which meant that it would not be able to start processing until the following day. This item was not on backorder, as we are unable to have orders placed for out-of-stock items unless they are specifically marked as reserve items in advance. We were contacted by the customer on the 5 business day and advised him that the order was still processing and since it was within the standard processing time frame the cancellation fee would apply to cancel the order. In this case, we did advise the customer that the order should complete processing on or before 2/14 and that if it had not shipped by 2/15 it would be late and we would be able to cancel without fees. The item did complete the processing and was shipped out on 2/15 and the tracking information was provided to the customer.

    First and last time using this company. Horrible customer service. Order place with multiple emails and live chats confirming order. 15 days after billing me they advised me that there was a distributor inventory error . No answer as why I was billed and advised my order was in the shipping department. ‘’ Unfortunately this was a distributor inventory error and the only options we are able to give you is to change the item on the order or receive a refund as we do not have the stock to be able to fulfill the order and do not back order products. I understand your frustration but unfortunately those are the only options in this situation.’’

    We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, in this situation, there was an inventory error. All of our inventory is tracked electronically and our website updates every 20 minutes to reflect those changes in our stock and availability. In some rare cases like this an item will show in stock and will allow an order to be placed because the item shows in stock electronically. This will allow the order to process as normal and that inventory will be electronically secured. However, once the item goes into shipping and becomes physically secured that it may not be able to be physically pulled. We completely understand the frustration and we attempted to resolve this issue before we notified the customer that the item was out of stock. Unfortunately, we had no other inventory to be able secure and notified the customer that the item was out of stock. We apologize again for the inconvenience.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Per the EXPERIENCED gunsmith at the FFL I used, the gun was defective so I did not accept it. Now Buds is charging me a 10% restocking fee and other fees as well shorting me $100. This company is a crook, read all the reviews before wasting your money unlike I did, there’s a reason they have a 1/5 rating with the BBB!

    We are always happy to assist with returns on firearms that have not been transferred. In this case, we were notified by the customer that the FFL noted there were scratches inside the barrel and the customer wanted to return the firearm back to us. We received photos but could not confirm any damage in the photos so we advised the customer we would be happy to take the return if they would still like to do so but if no damage was found there would be fees that would apply. Unfortunately, once the firearm was received back our returns department did confirm there was no damage only some powder residue inside the barrel which is normal for new firearms as they would be test fired by the manufacturer.

    This company is a rip off! Your supervisor could not honestly answer my question when I asked “did you swab the barrel to see if it was only residual powder?” I asked multiple times only to be told “our team found nothing wrong with the barrel”. DO NOT use them, they do not care about their customers. This was my first and LAST time using Buds.

    We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there was a shipping issue with this order and we apologize for the frustration. This order was processed and marked as shipped out on 1/6 and we sent an email with the tracking information for the firearm. We were notified on 1/25 that the item was not received and we followed up with the carrier, receiving FFL, and our warehouse to assist the customer. After confirming the item was not received we did not have inventory to process the item again and issued a full refund due to the issue. We apologize again for the inconvenience.

    NOT QUALITY! I recently purchased a high quality upper from them, it would not function as a manufacturers defective design didn't allow for shooting ammunition made for that caliber. When approached about this with proof the manufacturer knows of the issue and warns customers not to use said ammunition lest it fail to function Bud's said, your one day past the return window and cannot return it even if it was cause I test fired it. LOL. No give, no customer service. Just me left there with a personal defense weapon that would have gotten me killed had I trusted it blindly. VERY POOR QUALITY OF GOODS REPRESENTED WITH YOUR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!

    We are very sorry to hear that the customer is unhappy with the product they received. However, in this case, the manufacturer does recommend using a lower bullet weight as that improves the functionality of the upper. This does not mean that the item is malfunctioning or of poor quality. Almost all manufacturers will provide recommendations for what types of ammo to use with their products for the best results. Due to the circumstances with the upper being installed and fired, we are unable to process a return of the item since it is no longer in new condition. However, as the customer notified us the manufacturer did advise them that if they continue to have issues the item is covered under their lifetime warranty and they would be happy to fix any issues that they are having.

    I ordered 10 boxes of 45 ACP ammo received eight boxes when I called about the problem they told me to send them a picture of the inside and the outside of the box which I did now they will not respond, so discouraging.

As noted we do need photos of the packaging so that we can include it with the claim for the carrier. However, at this time we have not received the photos to be able to start that process.     We are very sorry for any inconvenience. Our website updates every 20 minutes to reflect any changes in our inventory and pricing that may occur. Unfortunately, in some extreme cases, it is possible for multiple orders to be placed during this time frame which can lead to orders where inventory is unavailable. In the event of such an issue, we cannot hold an order open indefinitely and we will always offer to either issue a refund in full, or we can change the order and apply the funds to another item if the customer would prefer. In this case, a full refund was requested and issued back to the customer. We apologize again for any frustration.

    Ordered an AR rifle and it pictured a black AR and the title read AR-15 300 BO rifle. Received it and it was a god awful green! Not what I ordered based on description showing. Tried to send it back or exchange it. They are stating it's my fault for ordering it and will have to pay a restocking fee and return shipping. So it's costing me $100 for their website screwup?! The title has BFGR at the end of the title. How am I supposed to know that it meant that when the one they have pictured and described is the black one?! They stated I should have run their sku number and I would have seen the description says BFGR! Alright lessened learned and hoping you do your research before buying from BUDS GUN SHOP and see, not only my review but a lot of others on here. They say 1 negative counts for 10 positives, believe it! There's a reason they are less than a 3 star review. You can go elsewhere for about the same cost (even less actually) but since they have a financing option, but learning a lot more places are doing financing as well and get a lot better PR than here. Don't believe the hype bigger is better. It just makes them believe they are untouchable and can treat and do whatever they want, regardless what the customers think!

    We apologize for any confusion. However, all of the photos on our website are stock photos and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the photos will be 100% indicative of the item being described. In this case, the item was described correctly as the BFG indicated the item was battlefield green and this was reflected in the specifications which listed the finish for the firearm as green. Because the item was advertised as green and the item was processed and shipped out there would be fees associated with the return of the firearm, but we would be happy to assist with the return if you would like to do so if you are unhappy with the firearm. We have updated the listing with a photo of the firearm after becoming aware of the issue and again we apologize for any confusion.

    Why would I be out $70 due to your policy of "what you see is NOT what you will get"! Whatever, all I can say is 1.45 BBB rating! I will just accept my loss and stupidity of not checking here first. I can take that $70 I would lose due to your rediculous policy and fees and just go get a better lower and piece together an AR that I want. So, I am glad to see now (and hope others do) that repeat customers mean absolutely nothing to you. Everyone, as stated earlier, there are several other companies (locked&loaded, Kentucky gun company, etc....) that are decent, close in price and treat people a lot better than BUDS that now offer financing if you want it? It's obvious your taking some accountability in this, or why would you go change the photo to the actual item your selling? Why not just leave it? Instead your putting it on the customers and still making them out to be wrong and still charging them. I hope something as petty as accepting you were wrong in this and removing the fee and return cost was worth all this and the business of a repeat customer.

    Recently purchased a "factory new" firearm from Buds. Received a thoroughly used weapon. They insisted that it was not used. I have never seen a weapon with that much carbon build up in my life. Let alone the missing paint, dings and scratches.I placed calls to Springfield Armory to have issues repaired since it was a new gun. In doing so I got information that the weapon had been previously sent back to Springfield for repairs 2 years ago. Repaired and returned to Buds. Only to have them re-sell as new once again. I spoke with numerous people at Buds only to have each of them lie to me and have my intelligence insulted repeatedly. I had filled out an honest review on their website as to my experience and was told by a supervisor as I was speaking to him that it would be deleted. I guess that's why I was under the impression that Buds Gun Shop was a reputable place to do business. The truth gets censored.

    We are very sorry to hear that the customer is unhappy with their firearm. However, we can only process a return on a firearm as long as it has not been transferred from the FFL dealer. This is why we advise all of our customers to inspect the firearm before accepting the transfer and to contact us if there is anything missing, wrong, or anything they are unhappy with so that we can assist. Unfortunately, in this case, the firearm was accepted by the customer. Once we were contracted we did confirm with the manufacturer via the serial number that this firearm is indeed factory new and had not been transferred to any private party prior to the customer and it was shipped out exactly as we received the firearm from the manufacturer. We are also happy to post any review, positive or negative, as it pertains to the item only. Any reviews that cover anything other than the item itself would not be posted.

    I also contacted Springfield Armory. Th people there were extremely helpful. Since Buds would not take care of their customer, Springfield was going to take care of the cosmetic damages under warranty since it was a "New" gun. After sending me information to return the product to them I was informed that Buds had sent the firearm in to them for warranty repair in 2021. Therefore it was repaired and sent back to Buds as, get this, a "USED FIREARM". So on top of everything so far, now I have no warranty from Springfield, as I am not the original owner.

    Ordered a long gun on Sunday the 1st, given observing the holiday on Monday got the 48 hour e mail the stock was being shipped and received it on the 6th, Great! But why can you send the stock out but not the long gun? E mailed on Monday the 9th and was told it was still in shipping, same thing on Wednesday, still in shipping! Called customer service today and was told the same, still in shipping, have ordered numerous firearms from buds and never a problem, but as of now I would definitely seek other distributors to get firearms from! Should not take almost two weeks to get a long gun shipped, doesnt make sense how you can send one item and not the other! Buds needs to restructure there shipping system! Could have ordered the gun from Midway and had it shipped same day, AMAZING!

However, it is possible for delays to happen as did in this case. We will always ensure that orders are shipped out as quickly as they possibly can.
