We bought a Brand New 2021 Grand Design Reflection (RF315RLTS) (Vin# **************4428) and have had nothing but problems, especially with the ** air conditioning unit. It worked fine the first summer (2021), but since then, it has been replaced every year since (*********) and now, during our routine maintenance check, it is not functioning properly again, not blowing "cool" air.We have contacted ** and Grand Design with no response. And, it seems if another ** AC unit needs to be set (under warranty, as the previous replacements have been under 1 year), it'll be another "hot" summer in our trailer. This whole process is ridiculous! This is unbelievable!!The interior has suffered with warped wood (or faux wood) along the ceiling and walls, as well as electrical outlets having to be replaced as they became brittle and shattered when utilizing them.I bought this unit 4 years ago, and have had these issues every year. Why am I paying on this, not enjoying it, and having to go this route to either be compensated or take this unit away at your cost! This is insane, having to repeat this little "dance" every year!Review fromDavid S

We have a 2023 Reflection that also has a humidity problem. We took our Reflection to General RV in *************, last year due to humidity in the 5th wheel. The towels will not dry in the bathroom no matter what we do. We have placed a fan in the bathroom, put a heater in the bathroom, put a larger exhaust fan, but still they are damp. The clothes in the drawers smell moldy and I have to wash the clothes in all of the drawers to get rid of the smell in the bedroom and on the clothes. The kitchen and living room there are signs off delamanation . General RV determined there is definitely a problem. Grand Design approved 2 hrs. to check out vents skylight and underbelly. Also, should note that General RV found moisture above the ceiling in the bathroom. Executive management from Grand Design decided the problem was environmental, it was in *******. However, the 5th wheel is stored inside an insulated pole bar , Oct through May. Then in ******** from May to October. This is our 2nd Grand Design and we had no problems with humidity with the Solutude we had. Yes, this is just outside our warranty when we brought it in, but it took a little over a year for the delamanation to be visible on the walls. My question is so every trailer sitting on the lots in ******* are all going to delaminate. The whole environmental statement is ridiculous. They just don't want to fix this trailer. Shame on Grand Design.Review fromClaudia P.

My experience with Grand Design RV has been nothing short of a complete disappointment.I purchased a brand new 2022 Grand Design Transcend in 2023, expecting quality, reliability, and customer support. What I received instead was a series of devastating manufacturing defects and a complete lack of accountability from the manufacturer.Within the first year of ownership, my RV presented severe problems:A defective roof installation leading to serious structural concerns.Walls showing cracks and weaknesses.Poorly installed stairs with unsafe workmanship.Cabinet doors and drawers deteriorating prematurely.Appliances of extremely poor quality. When I contacted the dealership, they simply stated that the responsibility belonged to Grand Design and offered no further assistance. From that point forward, all my efforts to resolve the situation were met with delays, excuses, and ultimately a complete denial of responsibility from Grand Design.A well-built RV should not deteriorate after minimal use, especially not one promoted as a premium product. The negligence, poor manufacturing, and lack of genuine customer support have made this purchase one of the worst decisions I have ever made.I would never recommend Grand Design to anyone. Buyers deserve honesty, quality, and real customer service not broken promises, defective products, and endless frustration.I will continue to share my experience across every platform possible so that other consumers are aware and can make better-informed decisions. If you value your hard-earned money and peace of mind, stay away.Grand Design RV

The trailer was purchased May 2024. We put in a dehumidifier & a DampRid bucket to control the moisture. We were unaware when we purchased the trailer that it was a provided to us with no sealant around doors/windows/lights/etc. This manufacturer oversight caused the interior of the trailer to quickly develop mold caused by the excessive exposure to water. The lack of sealant went undetected for a while because we bought during the summer. The unit went through a pressurized test which assisted in diagnosing the discrepancy with the sealants associated with the bathroom light and vent, galley vent, kitchen pantry roof access panel, sealant voids on front DS/PS corner, underbelly, microwave vent and PS front corner of the roof. Water was seen coming up from a white plumbing vent on the roof. The service department at Lazy Days (retailer we purchased from) also noted a cracked mushroom vent, wet insulation and a puddle of water in the bathroom ceiling. They found moisture throughout the trailer, under s**** cover and DS rear gutter rail, and interior s**** ***** and dripping water. Back gutter rails were found with no sealant at all. Rust on hardware on DS rear window next to bunk beds and ***** ceiling light in bathroom. The lack of sealants throughout the trailer has caused extensive undeniable damage throughout the unit as well as health issues for me and several family members. Two of my grandchildren have asthma and the mold has caused asthmatic attacks on several different occasions. These ongoing issues are not only a major disappointment, but they have caused also made the experience of traveling in this trailer extremely stressful and i have no sense of security trying to spend time in the unit for any length of time. A brand new unit purchased only to have taken a major hit to its value due to a critical manufacturer oversight and they refuse to do anything to make this right.Grand Design RV

We do not want the unit provided to us. It has spent a considerable amount of time in the shop due to the extensive damage caused by the manufacturer negligence to properly seal the unit. It's significantly reduced the value of the trailer and caused health issues for myself and family members. There is no way for the service department or your company to guarantee that there will not be recurrent mold once it is returned. The manufacturers oversight on this issue has caused a massive decrease in the trailers potential value, and it is no longer fit for its intended purpose. The way this issue has been handled by your company has lost all trust and confidence in the quality of the product you provide. To make us whole, we would like a full refund for the original cost of the trailer.Review fromDebby S

I have a 2022 Grand design Transcend. I had a waterleak on the roof near the rear. It happened right at the 1 yr ***** I went to one of the dealerships and they said their was no damage even tho It was soft and crunched when you pushed on it. I carried it to another dealer over two hours away and they said it was definitely rotted. I ended up getting it fixed under warranty. I now have the whole roof of my slide out that is rotted out. No even 2 yrs of owning the camper. Grand design will not cover it. I had it annually inspected at the dealer. I had the roof fixed in November and brought it straight home and put it in the garage. Pulled it out for the annual inspection to find the slide out roof rotted out. I've also had a gas fitting leak that nearly cause very bad accident. Also had sheet metal around the furnace missing screws the first time we used it. All the air was blowing under the sink against the wall, which would have been very bad if we hadn't caught that in time. We have been very displeased with the quality and the customer service from *******************************************. Dealer told me the roofing on my camper didn't look good at all. I would definitely not recommend Grand design to anyone being how they don't stand behind their products to anyone!Grand Design RV

I have a 2022 Grand Design. Purchased new. Two years later I'm having to replace the roof, $13,000. A new roof should last longer than two years. The authorized dealer I took it to said roofs on Grand Design's are garbage. I called Grand Design and they denied my claim. They said I wasn't getting it inspected every 90 days. So nothing they could do. If you go om social media, roof issues are a real problem for GD trailers.Grand Design RV

Update: grand design requested by comment on 11/01/2024 that I contact them via phone or email because they did not have my updated information, which is not true because they recently denied my claim filed 09/11/2024. I emailed them on 11/01/2024 and it is now 11/07/2024 and still have not been contacted back even though they strive to respond within 48 hrs. Complete garbage, I purchased an ** from grand design in 2020, in 2021 and had a claim for water damage for $13,300 that was approved by the manufacturer. On September 11th 2024 I had to take the ** to the place of purchase again for the same damage but this time it equals $16,600. The ** was purchased for around $64,000. The total of damage in three years is valued at 1/2 the cost of the unit. And grand design is denying the claim that they have previously warranted. The water is coming off the back deck and soaking into the floor and with the floors having a protective wintering cover one can not see up to the floor from underneath. The damage cannot be observed like water coming down the walls from the ceiling, the damage can only be observed when it is too late.Grand Design RV

Update 11/27/2024 on 11/08/2024 I received a call from ***** from grand design who stated he was going to reopen my claim and he knew the recreational vehicle was still at the dealership. He stated the technician was out and he would be in contact. Today the 27th of November 2024 the dealership nor myself has been contacted and I will start accruing storage fees at a daily rate, *** attempted to contact the manufacturer with only a recording that they are not available.Review fromCharles R.

I have a 2023 GD Reflection 295RL that has spent more time in the shop during the last year than on the road. My current issue is that the leveling system has an intermittent problem that the dealer service department can't duplicate. As an electronic design engineer I fully understand how difficult this can be to track down and fix, yet I know first hand that the problem is real and is serious. Just now I tried calling Grand Design customer support for assistance. I was referred to a tech to help with the issue. The tech was clueless about the basics of electricity, consistently confusing amps and volts. His words, again from the perspective of a design engineer, were nonsensical and totally useless. We had a lot of fun with our prior Grand Design camper. Our current experience is just the opposite. I would stay as far away from Grand Design as possible.Grand Design RV

While I agree that Ms ****** worked with me nicely to solve some of the issues on my trailer, this misses the point. The fact remains that my trailer spent much more time in the shop than on the road during the last year. Good customer service as provided by Ms ****** puts a bandaid on a host of problems that should have been addressed before my trailer left the factory. Based on my experience, I still cannot recommend Grand Design products because of the poor manufacturing quality of my trailer.
