I rented a car from Ace to visit my family in ** over the Christmas Holiday. They talked me into an upgrade and then an employee told my husband to check the windshield. He told us that he ****ed there there was chip in the windshield on the report. When we returned the car, another employee walked right up the windshield as if she knew exactly what to look for, and pointed out a chip. Mysteriously, there was no **** on the report. Now they are trying to charge us over $2000 for a windshield replacement for a 2021 ****** Murano. An online search shows that the most this repair would cost is around $1000 and that's if you replace the windshield. However, most repair shops would recommend glue for a chip that is smaller than a dime. Then, we found the exact same complaint from another customer in ****** reviews. It's obviously a scam and Ace Rent a Car should be shut down for defrauding customers.ACE Rent A Car

I would rate them a 0 if I could. They rented me a vehicle that was reported stolen. Because it was never called in as recovered I was pulled over by three police cars five cops and told that I was in a stolen vehicle and could be arrested. Never rent a car from these people. They claimed they called the police department but did not. They are no better than Hertz where many people have been arrested and put in jail. The office in CT has the worse customer service and the corporate office is no better.ACE Rent A Car

I made my reservation through Priceline which was supposed to be $455 for one week.This was at the airport in *****. I had declined the insurance on Priceline, which I always do - never had a problem and have rented cars many times. At the counter in ***** insurance was never mentioned, I thought I had declined it already. I initialed a few times, agreed to the Sunpass and was on my way. By the next day I noticed an additional charge of $362. Apparently this was for an insurance "package" which insured the car, as well as "tire and windshield" insurance. again, absolutely never mentioned. I can assure you, I would never, ever agree to this type of insurance. I feel like this was all fraudulent, shady business practice. As a result I will never rent a car from this place and will do everything little thing I can to spread the word that they will absolutely separate you from your money. Vacation RUINED!ACE Rent A Car

This place here was very Discriminate towards me off the first time entering the establishment. First they didnt take credit cards with no chip which I found very strange. So I returned home to get another card and drive back 45 minutes to be told they didnt take pre paid credit cards. Which was very RUDE considering it was a MASTERCARD AND NOT A PREPAID CARD at all. They seem very happy and elated to turn away black people because we were definitely the only people having an issue with them. It was a very Humiliating experience to say the least. And their reason for the denial was that you cant go into a bank branch lol which is funny because most credit cards dont have local banks except *********** and Well Fargo to name a few. So their excuses was a bunch of Bologna. Please people save your time and shop at a "real car rental place Like *****************, Alamo. Because them mom and pops branches will do it everytime.ACE Rent A Car

Unfortunately, most people who rent a car from Ace will not think of seeing these reviews until after they turn in the car, with enormous frustration.After I made a reservation and arrived at the ****** airport, I soon found out Ace is off the airport property and you have no idea where and how to catch a shuttle to that location. After calling them, I had to get back on the Air Train and go to the P4 location. The agent at *** said the shuttle would be there in 15 to 20 minutes. I waited and waited for the shuttle, and finally after several calls to *** and 48 minutes later the shuttle arrives.When I got to the counter at Ace, the rep seemed uninterested in me. I gave him my credit card and driver's license; he stares at his computer for several minutes and doesn't speak to me.He then asks me if I want to apply ***'s car insurance to the rental. Saying no, he then asks me if I had my insurance card with me. I said no, it was in my truck at home in ******. He then said I would need to call my insurance company to confirm I had insurance. Thankfully, I was able to get my insurance rep on the phone and he could give the rep my policy number. (Keep in mind, that I rent a lot of cars and have never had to go through this. I would simply tell them that I have insurance and give the rep the insurance company name, which suffices.)When I finally get into the car to leave I notice the gas gauge is 3/4 full, yet the contract says it is totally full. To prevent any problems with this company, you bet I filled the tank up before returning it. The car was not a typical rental car that I would rent. It had nearly ****** miles on it and the interior looked worn out.Finally, in returning the car, it was very difficult to find the place. Smartphone navigation had difficulty finding the location.For sure. I would not rent from Ace Again.ACE Rent A Car

Any security deposit you put you can kiss goodbye! When I picked up the vehicle it was parked closely between two cars and they told me to do an inspection. As I pointed out any small dents or scratches the worker said "this is ******* what do you expect? Ignore the small dents and paint chips". I couldn't fully see around the vehicle but pointed out a few things to which he said they're all fine and didn't **** ********** few days later I return the car and it's dirty on the outside from the dirt, snow, salt etc from winter driving in *******. The worker wipes away in one spot and came back in the store claiming there are all these new dents. To which I was surprised and said maybe someone hit me thinking there would be scratches and dents based on what he told me in the store. I went outside and could barely see these tiny weird outward warping ****s on an inner groove of the car door. The worker proceeded to tell me they have to charge me $500 for it. To which I said that is insane I never hit anything, never did anything, couldn't even notice the ****s myself, and if I did before the worker just shrugged it off saying it's fine during the initial inspection. Then they insisted I must pay the $500 and that I am trying to rip them off and how I can't prove that I didn't do it. That there's nothing I can do and say but pay them the $500. That no arguing or refusing will stop them from charging me and how continued to insist I can never prove it wasn't me with a little smirk on his face.So I paid $500 for something I didn't do, didn't impact the vehicle at all and their smirking employees told me I have to pay because I can't prove anything.1). NEVER use this company.2). If you for some reason do. Inspect the vehicles with a magnifying glass and take pictures and notes because they'll tell you it's fine when you point it out in the initial inspection then not **** it down and charge you after saying there was no notes.*********************** through AceACE Rent A Car

Beware ! They forced me to upgrade my rental at ******************* Airport stating the "suppliers choice rental" was a pick-up truck. The area where you do the paperwork and rental pick up are not the same, so I was unable to see the actual car selection until I got to the lot ready to leave. I was traveling with 2 children and a pick-up truck was not going to be an option for us, so I had to pay for the upgrade (an additional $10 a day which worked out to be $75). Then I was told I needed to purchase the toll package. I stated to the gentleman named ************ know there are no tolls on my route I have driven it many times before, he insisted I get the toll package (an additional $55) as some roads may not be accessible due to recent hurricane damage to that area and I would be charged $30 additional for each toll that i went through if I didn't have the toll package. I did not hit 1 toll my entire trip as I had expected. Also, when I went to get the rental car there was no pick-up trucks anywhere in the rental lot. This rental which was the most affordable for me went from $191 to $329.07. I contacted *** to speak to a manager and explained what happened the day of the rental and the agent named ****** who was very nice stated she would have a manager contact me back. Although I chose suppliers choice the vehicle they were stating I would get wasnt not even there . That is why I say it was a forced upgrade. I had the worst experience with AEC. I booked a car through Hotwire, once I arrived to the office Ive been misguided and tricked by one of the employees who charged me more than $150 extra. Plus, the $200 deposit never came back nothing was clear with them.ACE Rent A Car

Booked a car thru Priceline for ACE in ******************** Airport. Arrived at 8pm on 11/10/22 to ACE counter, no one in line. ******,older female, didnt even say hello or look at me for 10 mins while she played w/car keys in a drawer. She took my ID & asked for a credit card to put a $300 deposit on for any damages. My sister asked why if the car was already paid for and she said Im only speaking to the person on the reservation so please shut your mouth and let me say what I have to say!!! We kept composed and she next tried to bully me into purchasing your insurance saying shed never heard of it so it wont work in **********. The process to pick up the car took over 40 mins. I have rented all over the world on business and this lack of service I have NEVER experienced. Had to get her name from an employee when I returned because she didnt sign the contract.
