Upon check in from our priceline purchase he told us our total would be $237.00 that being a $****** deposit and $37.00 for insurance. I gave him my credit card which he said was declined and only took the $37.00 so i gave him another credit card in which he said took $200 for the deposit. This was not the case as the first card did indeed take the $237.00. Upon returning the car we where short on time so paid $ 9.99 a gallon because the fuel was low. Which was taken from the second card i gave him for the deposit. The first card was never credited back my ****** deposit with no explanation of why ..I want my deposit back ! My final bill doesnt even show this card on the receipt that you have stolen ****** from !!!!ACE Rent A Car

Reviewing your account from your rental in *******, I see that the original charge was for the agreed upon collision, liability, and the toll pass. The refueling rate is listed on your rental agreement which you sign and receive a copy of prior to leaving the location. As for your deposit, the fuel charge of $139.71 was taken from the $200 hold and the difference was dropped off and released back to you.

The business is horrible and the customer service is unacceptable and is the worst. Their price charged was much higher than my Expedia quote and I recalled going over this with Expedia multiple times and they told me no that is the amount you're going to have to pay well to my surprise I ended up paying over $100 more than what I was originally quoted for. They explained "the Expedia quote is 'just an estimate". Last minute change of plans required me to get down to ******* earlier than I intended due to the fact that it was the passing of my stepmother. I arrived at the rental place an hour earlier than when I was supposed to book the car and they charged me an extra daily rate for that pickup. During checkout, I provided all my insurance details, clearly stating that I did not require additional insurance from the rental company. The lady forced me to buy the insurance. I made the payment using my debit card and was informed about a $300 deposit. The standard $300 incidental should have been held on my credit card. Held, NOT charged. I was actually charged this amount. It is illegal to charge a fee that the agreement I signed indicated is a hold, but they did anywaywhy you may ask because they are money hungry thieves. You don't just get to make up fees as you go ACE. To my surprise, the final bill included charges for the rental company's insurance, which I had explicitly declined. Also, I read online that is not required in ******* to purchase additional car insurance when renting a car because they all come with the minimum state required. Also rental companies push insurance policies on renters as if they are mandatory. customers should be informed about potential charges, and any mandatory fees, The practice of leveraging undisclosed fees, in scenarios that take advantage of customers in unfamiliar situations, is unethical.ACE Rent A Car

Thank you for taking the time to inform us of your recent rental experience in ***************. It is our policy, this is listed in our terms and conditions prior to booking, that customers must present proof of full coverage insurance (collision and liability) or they will need to purchase it at the counter. As you were using a debit card the deposit is billed and then refunded to you, credit cards are only a hold. While I understand the frustration with the additional cost, the liability was required to rent.

I had a reservation via Priceline for ACE Rental Car for April 16, 2024 - April 17, 2024. The rental car was being used so I could drive to south Mississippi and withdraw life support from my mother. She died on April 17, 2024. As this was an unexpected trip, I was very limited on funds available to spend on this rental reservation. I was charged a $400 security deposit and told that Id receive it back on my card within 10 business days. The staff at the rental car shack told me that I would receive the deposit back no later than Friday, May 3, 2024. It is now May 5, 2024, and I have not received the deposit back to my card. I am unable to pay my bills until this deposit has been returned to me. I am accumulating late fees on my rent, for hundreds of dollars, due to this issue.In addition to the aforementioned concerns, the vehicle I received had broken sensors, a check engine light, a faulty volume ****, cosmetic damage, and squeaking rotors. I informed the staff about these issues prior to driving the vehicle and no concern was shown. No resolution was offered. Additionally, I was denied the option of inspecting the car prior to signing a rental agreement.At this point in time, I am requesting a full refund of all charges due to this horrendous experience I have had.Thank you,*****************************ACE Rent A Car

I rented a car from them in Feb and someone hit our car so when we went to return we filled out a accident report and gave the other parties insurance information for the damage. Now its May and I received an email that my credit card was charged along with an incident report from the person that just returned the car. They put on their incident report "No accident. Believed this scratch was already there at pick up. Did not scratch the car." and then *** decided that since we rented it in Feb that they can CHARGE MY CARD. When I called the Ace rent a car they said they couldn't do anything I would need to call the claims department so when I called they didn't even have a claim in my name and could NOT do anything about it. I am seriously at a loss for words. Now I have this person that justs rented the car and returned it FULL NAME , ADDRESS, DOB AND PHONE NUMBER BUT THEY CHARGED MY CARD FOR THE DAMAGE. This company is NOT the good deal you might think you're getting! We rented a 2022 Dark Grey Dodge Charger 3/8/24 to 3/14/24. We had already booked and paid for the car through Priceline. Once we finalized our bill, which was much higher than expected, (and thankfully ACE later worked with us to credit back a few of those charges) we were directed to the lot to receive the rental car. We were told to examine the car carefully, making sure to look closely at the windshield, and report and conditions back to the agent inside. At this point it was after 1 a.m. and was ***** outside. A light in the parking lot above our car had been burned out and it was not easy to see around the car, despite us using our cell phone flashlights. We examined the windshield and car and did not see any damage at that time. Again, there was not an agent with us. With it being very dark and raining we didn't even consider taking photos. So returned inside to sign off with the agent, then left the lot and drove directly to our rental house in *****, **, for the week (which was parked in a carport, not near any other cars).Immediately the next morning in the daylight we noticed some damage to the car on the rear passenger side above the wheel. I didn't think much of the dents and assumed ACE would have had those documented with the person who last rented the car. Regrettably, I did not think to take a photo at this time. At the end of our week when we returned the car, the woman at ACE who checked us in saw the dents, called her manager who checked a log book, and then told us those dents were not in the log book and that we would have to pay for it. We were not shown any sort of log-book of any recorded damages for this car to prove that it had already been documented. They are now claiming that we need to pay over $1500 in damages for dents that were already on the car when we received it.Again, please don't take the risk of working with this company.
