the only reason i gave 1 star i was unable to give minus stars. i was scammed by a seller with a "a+" rating, gunbroker.com has no customer support except for email support which they take a day or more to answer, and their answers are generic, not to the point of the actual issue, the replies appear to me to be electronic (AI) replies, but actually they dont care, (up and above board businesses use email but also have phone and fax numbers for direct contact when needed). their buyer protection is a joke. i think their goal is to support their local scammers. anybody considering doing business with gunbroker.com do at your own risk. there are other upstanding sites out there to do business with

These people locked my account because I decided not to pay for a gun that they advertised as new and then in the description it turned out to be used, I informed Gunbroker via Email, and the decision was to suspend my account. Be careful these people are not very serious.

The site works pretty well except for the fact that they consider a bid a binding contract. All ************* except for one problem. Its only a binding contract for the buyer, not the seller. Sellers routinely have items listed also for sale at their store. After winning an item you may get an email apologizing and saying it was sold in the store. Sellers also remove items youve previously bid on when it sells in the store. When this happens, and the item never reached the end of the bidding period you have no recourse. You can not even leave a negative review because you can only leave a review if you win and the item is automatically marked as sold. Soit ***** that a binding contract ONLY applies to the buyer, not the seller.

I was a member for over 10 years have over 500 completed transactions where I've bought Until one seller who I talked to threatened me over the phone and I told him. I would not complete their transaction because of the threats. I informed gunbroker of what had happened. And then they canceled my membership for a non-paying bidder. Be careful on this website because you are truly on your own .

Zero customer support. I bought a gun sent seller payment and gunbroker canceled the deal. Im out **** dollars and have had no help with this transaction. Hopefully I can get some help from my bank as the cashier check was not properly endorsed by the seller. Its turned out to be a fraud claim. But gunbroker has done nothing and there Buyers Protection is limited to 500. Its a joke trying to deal with them. Beware!!

I bid on a handgun, and noted some new user was bidding up the auction. I contacted Support now that I was NO longer the winning bidder and wanted to understand my obligation should this possible ***** bidder decide to cancel his offer anytime before the end of auction. They replied quickly that I am fully obligated.Interesting to note that they appear to allow SHILL bidders since they have no reasonable protections in place for buyers to move on and purchase elsewhere. They are FORCED to remain available in case this offer is cancelled or excluded anytime after placed. No time constraint is in place to stop SHILLiNG like a reasonable 24 hour window which protects all.

This was my very first auction on gunbroker. Before the auction closed I attempted to contact the seller twice for questions and never received a response. There was minimal bids up until the very last hour where there was only one bid made besides mine which was only one cent over mine and drove up the price by ridiculous amount. After I bid $25 over that bid, that bidder never did again. To me this is very plain evidence of someone's shell bidding with an alternate account to drive up the price of the item. I contacted customer service through the help desk because there is no phone number and they kept dancing around all of my questions, did not do a thorough investigation and did not take my concerns with serious intent. I notified them of the suspicions of show bidding and also notify them that I could not get a hold of the seller after I have won the auction, either through email or phone. I informed them that the seller only accepts live checks cashier's checks or money orders which is a very unsecure form of payment. They offer no guarantee only coverage for $500, but with a $100 deductible. This is almost criminal and everyone knows that firearms are well beyond this range in price. The item I was putting on was at 560 all of a sudden it's at 820 because of one bidder my winning bid was 825 and they did not attempt to bid again. Very suspicious behavior with a bidder and a seller. I have yet to pay for the winning auction and I have not received a response from the seller. I will not further pursue any help from GunBroker help desk because I know it will be futile. I will not make any further purchases on GunBroker and I will notify everyone that I can of the website's poor behavior.
