The most unprofessional and ******** company you can ever hire!!! They are crooks and will send random apprentices limited about two people to move your entire house. The driver hustles the customer with lies about everything from the minute he walks into the house. Saying this will be way more $$ then what you have claimed for us to move. My rate was supposed to be 3200. Day 1 of pick up it was up to 3k more than this. Day 2 … delivery day to my new address went up more supposedly the weight was above estimated on a rented truck by riders. Not even their logo with the companies name on it!!! ******** ALL DAY! Plz plz do not trust this company! Learn from my mistake! The movers they sent were throwing my boxes on the second floor door step and my treadmill that cost me over 1k is broken. 70” tv had a crack in it. I feel like pple should definitely do research before hiring any moving company especially after my experience. Do not hire this company!! They stress how they have employees to carefully pack & move furniture. Not true! They get on websites to hire people in the area to do this. My *********** moved from ** to AR in March. No Colonial truck showed up at our house in **. They hired someone local. Then the guys who showed up to move our furniture onto the truck did a good job wrapping & took our moving boxes onto the truck. Trouble came when the truck got to AR. Before they even unloaded, the Colonial dispatcher called & said we had to pay the other half of what we owed or they couldn't unload the household goods. They told us they had to transfer all of our items to a UHaul truck to get to our house, which Colonial promised us they would definitely not do this. The 2 guys they hired from a website came 3pm & had moved half of our household goods. When they opened the truck, part of the moving boxes fell out. They had not brought any blankets for our wood floors & scratched them really bad. When they finished unloading that half, they had to go back to retrieve the second half. They did not put anything back together & left part of the furniture in the garage. Our furniture was damaged. One guy was so angry for my husband not signing, he tried to hit my husband who told them they had not delivered all of our items (we were missing our ladders & a dolly). We then called the police who wrote up the report & also found these 2 guys & got their names. We have pictures & the police report to back up our statements. The following week, Colonial again hired 2 men to come put all of the furniture back together. We called Colonial several times & either they give excuses why the bill of ladings have not been sent to us (the movers never gave ** copies) or they don't answer their phone or I leave messages which they don't bother returning the calls.Colonial Van Lines Relocation Division LLC

Worst moving experience EVER! The truck driver showed up in a regular tractor trailer not a moving trailer. The truck driver outsources his helpers from *********** ********************* ads.. Not professional movers. We were stolen from at point A. When the truck arrived at point B. He couldnt get outsourced helpers. So, the truck driver, my husband, ************ unloaded a tractor trailer. I put 11 miles on my Apple Watch. I called customer service and spoke to a manager and they didnt care at all! All they wanted was the rest of the money. Nothing was protected, We had so much damage! I bought TV boxes and mattresses protectors and they didnt use them. We have moved multiple times before. As you can see, I have posted 1 star only because I have to. If I could I would put a negative star. The company grossly underestimated the cost of the packing material and the truck size. We were told we had exclusive use of the truck and the crew went at two different times to do other jobs. They had left 44 boxes and 5 pieces of furniture. If not for the neighbor giving us a call, we would have lost our belongings. There was quite a bit of damage, and the company offers $0.60 to a pound. Basically, no compensation of damages. Management promised to review and call back in a week. Of course, there has been no returned calls. I strongly suggest staying far away from ************************************************** They are not truthful and are nothing but THIEVES !!! On March 30th we moved from Mass. to *************. We were not very happy with the end result of the move due to underestimated quote and some damage. In the end we communicated with customer service and came to a resolution. This 5 star rating is for customer service doing their best in resolving the issue.*******************************Vincent P

************************************************* was extremely unprofessional, unknowledgeable and unresponsive. They did not coordinate the correct van size for our shipment and needed to leave several items behind at the house we sold in **. After many calls, they finally picked up the items left behind. The exact same issue happened when taking our properties from storage to our new SC residence. They sent too small of a van, making it a two-************. The entire process was grueling, as there wasn't really a main point of contact. We would be passed around and not given correct information, leading us to think the worst. The several people we spoke with from CVL were ambiguous at best and no compensation was given. I strongly recommend others not work with this company.Colonial Van Lines Relocation Division LLC

I talked with CVL's resolution department a couple days after my review and was offered some money as a resolution, which was nice. Ufortunately, I was sent a contract to sign prior to getting the money stating I would retract my comments. When I mentioned I did not want to do that, they offered to remove that verbiage. I was reminded of how poorly things went during the move and didn't feel like jumping through any additional hoops, so we declined the settlement.Review fromPriscilla A.

Do business with them at your own risk!!! You will loose your money, your peace of mind and your mental balance!!!! Colonial Vans has to be the worst company. They play all nice when marketing the move, once you make a deposit and sign contract, they hand your move over to a third party and then when you call the extension, nobody answers, you have to speak with someone who doesnt even know you or your case. They broke my table and damaged my car, stole my car battery and replaced it with a dead battery, inflated the moving cost several times during the course of the move. This has got to be the worst experience ever! I am only moving 320 miles away and they were late 2 days for pick up. No one has answers for me, and they lied to me and said the truck broke down. Currently, I still haven't received my things, which now they are telling me, I won't get my stuff for another several weeks and again no one know why? (Which would be a month) People are rude, and have lied to me - this has been the WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! They deserve any stars.BTW: I still don't have my belongs - and total cost is $3400Colonial Van Lines Relocation Division LLC
