      On March 11, 22, I rent a car from WISECAR for $695. Somehow, they sent me to pick the car from Thrifty Car Rental (IAH). At the check-out counter, the representative told me I have to pay the insurance $39.99/day for 6 days (which was $239.99) , even I told him that I wanted to use my car insurance. He said NO since that was the basic requirement ?!?. They end up charging me for the amount of $520.82.

      Here's the itemize they charged:
      DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW/LDW): $239.94
      CONCESSION FEE RECOVERY(???) $57.69
      PREMIUM EMERGENCY ROADSIDE SERVICE(???): $53.94
      VEHICLE LICENSE FEE (???)$11.64
      CUSTOMER FACILITY CHARGE (???) $24
      ACCESS PASS THRU FEES (???) $4.99
      TAX (15%): $128.62

      AMOUNT DUE: $520.82
      So, I paid a total of 1215 bucks for 6 days, from 2 companies that I expected to pay 695 bucks !! (using my own car insuarance)

      I wish I could give 0 stars. Most expensive car rental I've had in my life. Will send you multiple bills and charges afterwards for things you did not agree to. Awful customer service that never gets back to you. Owed me a refund and it's been over the guaranteed time I would see it. Yet they can keep sending me bills. Do not rent from this place.

      Do not book at the Miami Airport location because I had an employee his mame is Mitch and his phone number and I returned the rental hours early with a gas tank almost full. I asked him to allow me to go and fill it all the way up and he said no, it's almost full and I won't charge you. I said are you sure because I do not want to be charged. He said yes I been working here a long time, here is my number, I assure you won't be charged. We'll weeks later not only was my card charged for the gas, I had other charges as well and billing will NOT refund me. This is the worst experience and this employee should be fired for lying and adding on charges to my card. I had to report my card for fraud. I do not trust then with my information on file!

      I was given a car with damage done to the back of the bumper. I returned the car on 6/3/22 and I got an email 4 days later with photos saying I damaged the car, telling me to submit a claim with my insurance company

      Thrifty is by far the worse rental car company I have ever had the displeasure from renting from. If I could give them 5 middle fingers instead of 5 stars I would. I rented a vehicle to drive for my dad's funeral. The brakes were bad I had to exchange the car when I reached Atlanta for another car and the brakes were just as bad. The customer service was horrible the staff acted like they where incompetent and clearly didn't know what was going on. The car they gave me was filthy, I had to pay to get the car cleaned. There was broken glass on the floor of the car and smelled really bad. I wouldn't recommend renting from Thrifty to anyone spend your money elsewhere.
