  This is NOT a loan company as stated on the letter received. It's a debt consolidation company who wants you to not pay your credit cards, then they will step in, charge you a huge fee, and settle with the credit card companies to pay less then you owe, and then your credit will be ruined. You would have to be in a dire situation to consider this route.

  This sounds like a scam. They send out a letter saying you are pre-screened to receive a loan up to xxxx at a rate as low as 5.99%. Then, when you read the really fine print, which I suspect most people do not, they say in order to qualify for this you must show proof of a minimum $20,000 in retirement or other savings. ***, I wonder how many people who they send this to have this kind of money in the bank. There is no where stated that this is a debt relief servicer. If you get this letter, read the fine print and then throw the letter away.
