They have very deceptive business practices. ANY COMPANY that auto renews a charge a year down the road should be REQUIRED to give an email notice to the person being charged. I had no idea an account I opened and didn't use, and emailed to cancel, was going to auto renew with 2 good sized charges. They are not easy to work with to get refunds either. zero stars but that's not an option.GoDaddy.com LLC

I'm a very small company but I wanted to have a professional looking website I choose GD based many reasons. My first setup was website builders and marketing, this was a platform all ready setup, I would just for a add the content. I want the website to do just one little thing and after talking to GD customer service rep they told me about euphoricecocandles.com hosting. GD customer service is not knowledgeable of all customers issues with their products they offer. Before I switched my web building platform I called twice to ask all the question I needed to make sure I'm picking the right product for my website. I wanted my website to do certain things therefore I called and explained what I needed my website to do. They directed me to Wordpress, after a couple months I revisited the idea, I called back to ask more questions this time I wanted to make sure that my current website + marketing is compatible, plus what I want to add. I brought what they suggested for my new website based on their recommendations. I called back because to setup was not what we spoke about, so the rep suggested that I get Woo Commerce after asking all that the question I needed to before purchasing, after I still had problems, the rep said the wordpress and Woo commerce needed to be merged together and that will take three days, but their method of communication with customers is through email, which is very inconvenient for me because of my work hours and their business hours. I have been emailing them about my problems for about a month now and I'm still having troubles. One rep said I have to purchase a subscription thats why the website isn't working, but the website is working there just some issues within the website plus a different rep they said I didn't have to purchase a subscription, which is why I don't the reps are knowledgeable about all their products, all I get is transferred or I need to call within certain hours, but their rave about have customer service 24/7.GoDaddy.com LLC

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They have zero customer service skills, the will not hold to their word, and they will not issue a refund, even when you pay over $400-500 in domains and extra protection, they'll wipe out your websites if your late making a payment (even if you signed up for the extra protection) they won't do jack **** to help you get logged back in if your logged out. And they have zero problems making you pay extra for all of that and do absolutely nothing in return. So even though I spent this much plus, asked for added security so I wouldn't lose it like I did before. I was locked out of my accounts and they would not assist me in getting back into it, I lost all my domains, now I can't buy my domains back because they own them, I will not be issued a refund. And I don't have anyway of accessing all the hard work I lost because they own it now.GoDaddy.com LLC

We used GoDaddy to host our educational website for several years (since about 2010). We discovered later that when we tried to access our website, it had turned into a site that sells ******. We contacted GoDaddy and they offered to revamp our website for a rather hefty fee. We declined and moved on to another hosting site. Sadly, we found that our domain name has been sold to a foreign *********** site. Disgraceful. Avoid GoDaddy at all costs. No scruples. A public Whois directory search suggests the domain name is currently registered to another party. Horrible service I literally have not been able to use my website since purchase in 2021 they keep saying tech support is closed or write a ticket number to escalate to tech support no one gets back with you within the 24hrs they say or at all and when you call back they have no notes of a ticket ever being made I have exhausted hours money and my mental state to try to get these issues resolved someone please help me my website has not worked correctly or accepted payments I want a full refund I have never been able to process not one payment everytime I ask to speak with a supervisor or anyone they tell me no someone will call back and I never can get ahold of someone in ******* never I am extremely frustrated and exhausted Im convinced these companies source out their work to other countries to never deal with their customer again only collect their money in masses making it evident that they want you to cancel without them having to render a refundGoDaddy.com LLC

Domain registration. They add extra domains to your cart and if you don't uncheck them they get added to your order. If you call customer service they claim not to know about it and say you have to complain within 5 days to get a refund, supposedly because it's an ICANN rule. I am sure ICANN can't tell them who to give a refund to, even if they do have a rule about not changing the registrar or something like that. They are a couple of bucks each but I'm sure that adds up for them at 3 per customer. They also nickel and dime you by charging extra for email and signing you up for some website creation service. It asks if you want to build a website, if you say yes you are now signed up for another subscription.Review fromKyle C

Unfortunate Experience with GoDaddy. Zero customer service regarding renewal pricing or refunds. Started a website for a reasonable amount, got renewed for quadruple the amount. When I asked about a pro rated refund, I was told they don't offer that, and I was out of the 30 day refund policy so SOL. They would be happy to cancel my account and keep my annual renewal fee for essentially 60 days of hosting my website. Not right at all. They can bill monthly, but can't pro-rate a refund? Disappointing to say the least. I won't ever use GoDaddy again for my website needs.GoDaddy.com LLC
