GoDaddy ended support for an email plan that I had purchased and was using for many years, and then the support reps for the new email plan either were completely wrong about how the new product would work or straight-up lied to me to get me to sign up for a new plan. They told me that I would be able to retain the same service that I had before (email forwarding across multiple domains) by signing up for one enterprise email service account with the new product. While this was frustrating to now have to pay far more for a service that I already had, I decided to stick with GoDaddy. The setup process at the time was poorly configured and not documented so I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with support, but it was eventually working again. If the service had continued to work as-is I might have accepted the higher cost and just stuck with GoDaddy still, but eventually the service stopped working. I contacted support and over the course of a few calls I found out that the service was NOT going to work the way I had been told initially. I now would need an email plan PER DOMAIN instead of just one email plan to cover all of them. The only reason things had been working for a while is that the old email plan was still active, despite it being "End-Of-Life" and supposedly expired and was allowing things to function in the meantime. This was never explained to me initially and only after repeated calls to support did I figure this out. So now I've paid for additional services that I was told would fulfill my needs, only to find out that I need to pay hundreds more per year to actually get the same service. This is not documented anywhere on the GoDaddy website that I was ever able to find, and like I said the techs that set me up initially told me "this will do what you need" which was completely false. I used GoDaddy for many years because their customer support and plans used to be great, but now they've completely gone down the tubes.

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback.GoDaddy makes great efforts to maximize the life span of its services and features, however, there comes a point where a product can no longer be feasibly maintained. This is the case with our Workspace Email plans. Technology is ever-changing and we understand this process may be frustrating. We welcome the opportunity to connect with you in the hopes of resolving any outstanding concerns and can be reached at ************************************************

After GoDaddy closed 2 of our webstores using Quick Shopping Cart (for over 15 years), as they decided to discontinue QSC, we decided to choose DoDaddy ************** Services with a $4,500.00 charge for both sites after many promises were made. I let them know we only had a few months to get the stores ready before our busiest season started, and was promised it would happen. After several delays and 2 designers quiting their partnership with GoDaddy, The websites created were as expected, working easily with the design team to my satisfaction. However, the COMMERCE STORES created were (and still are) completely messed up... descriptions with the wrong products, no descriptions at all, no images with products or wrong images with products, pricing errors, etc. I am still working to correct these issues myself after many months. It would take longer to send the list of corrections than to just fix them myself, which I am still doing. I asked about credits or compensation after all the delays and unkept promises. The commerce stores are how my small company generates sales. After 15+ happy years with GoDaddy's Quick Shopping Cart, switching to their new and improved stores has been a horrible experience, I am disgusted and feel completely ripped Off!!! What a scam. $4,500 - and after Covid devastated our small business - I should have switched to Shopify or BigCommerce. A year of lost sales and frustration! GoDaddy used to be great... now they are the WORST!!! Hours on the phone... all I was asking for is some credits or compensation for all of the delays and screw-****** hours on the phone and no help at all! No Stars should be awarded at all.

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback.GoDaddy automatically renewed a product in your account per your account preferences. Automatic renewals such as this are discussed in GoDaddy's Universal Terms of Service agreement, an agreement you acknowledged and accepted upon doing business with GoDaddy. Furthermore, GoDaddy provides its customers with complete control over their renewal preferences. At any time, they may log into their account and modify those preferences. GoDaddy does not arbitrarily change the automatic renewal setting on our customers' behalf; account management is a customer responsibility. We encourage you to review and manage your account settings to prevent further unwanted renewals. We also welcome the opportunity to connect with you in the hopes of resolving any outstanding concerns and can be reached at ************************************************

I did a domain search, and my name was available. Returned after a few hours, and it said the name was in use. They stole it and are charging me $69 to recover it. Not nice. Definitely, won't be a customer after that, and after reading all those bad comments about the platform and services.

THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL. I spend over $30K a year with this FRAUDULENT company. Today, I am needing to file my files to my website. I spent over 2 hours on the phone. The first hour was holding. The second hour was talking to someone from *************** who cannot even authenticate my account. I finally hung up and called back again for a 30-minute hold time. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. I hope to learn how I can move all of my domains to another platform. SOMEONE PLEASE *** THIS COMPANY AND SHUT THEM DOWN.

GoDaddy gave free emails attached to domains purchases years ago. I set up emails for every domain I bought at the time. Such as info at mydomain.com. I also used these free emails to set up social media accounts for those domains.Later GoDaddy decided to delete all these free email accounts. When I forgot my password to sign in some social media platforms, I couldn't receive the password renewal link because the free email account didn't exist anymore.I called GoDaddy customer service to resolve this issue. However the customer rep asked $120 to reactivate the deleted email account.I tried to question him how they could actually delete the email accounts which they gave away as part of a promotion years ago. But during the conversation, the sales rep kept talking over me without listening and kept repeating they could reactivate the email accounts for $120 a year.First sales rep hang up on me. Second sales rep was just about to hang up on me and I told him this was unacceptable. And he said if I would to repeat my issue all over again to hear him saying no again .Not only GoDaddy stole my email accounts but they also humiliated me over the phone on issue caused by them.If there would -1 star, I would give them one for their customer service. Straight out robbery on the lowest scale.Shame on you GoDaddy.

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback.Companies must sometimes make difficult decisions in deciding to cease providing a particular product or service, whether that is due to technological changes or the feasibility of maintaining the product going forward. As this is the case for the Free Workspace Email plans, we have attempted to provide sufficient time to allow our customers to either switch to a paid plan or download any potentially needed emails to a backup. Technology is ever-changing, and while we understand this process may be frustrating, we have provided ample time and options to help our customers determine their business's next steps. We welcome the opportunity to connect with you in the hopes of resolving your outstanding concerns, and can be reached at ************************************************

Unfortunately GoDaddy failed so miserably that it will cost them our business. In looking into making a change to how our website is designed and hosted by GoDaddy, that our website has been removed completely from the internet. Have spent hours with CS and tech support with no success. When the tech support person is asking you to tell you what your website looks like that is crazy. Yes can you please tell me what your website looks like , how can someone who has hosted our website for years have it removed then doesnt know what it looks like 0 stars

I wish I had actually looked into godaddy before using them as my platform for business/website/domain. What a horrible company. Nodaddy existed for a very valid reason. Within the first two months of launching my website I had a couple of issues that were aggravating, but ended up getting resolved. Then I received an email stating they were canceling my commerce account with them for violating their terms. I had to press HARD via phone, email and chat over the course of a week to get them to give me any info as they told me to respond within a week with reasons to support why I didnt violate their terms if I thought their decision was in error, but I had no idea what I even did to violate. I asked them what I did to violate and they kept saying that they werent going to tell me but that their decision was final and that I hadnt provided a defense for whatever mystery violation I was being accused of. After MUCH aggravation they finally told me my business fits into the category of mysticism which their commerce does not support. My business is an energy healing business, but it is based in science, having to do with the spine. I physically work on peoples bodies and work with subluxations of the spine, not unlike what a chiropractor would do but in a much gentler way. Needless to say, I will be moving my domain away from GoDaddy as this company seems to flippantly make decisions and determine what violates their terms when in reality, there is no violation.
