Godaddy has refused me service and customer service for over 1 year.I have been a customer for 14 years. They have lied to me and sold me fake items, and the customer service refuses to help me when I get on the phone, they refuse to help me when on chat, and the ** system they have implemented over the last couple of years, will not allow me to speak to a real person. When I do get in touch with someone, they continue to play dumb and will not discuss or verify any information with you, even when it comes to charging you money. They then have charged me without my authorizations. The ** system will not put me through to anyone, and when it does it takes 10minutes of my time, by the time I get someone on the phone, I do not have any more time to conduct business as i have to hang right up, because my time allotment is over.In total it will take upwards, 30 - 40 minutes before speaking to anyone to get to my issues.

I have been a GoDaddy customer for a few years. I have used them in the past, and I've had good experiences. I'm noticing a decline in service, and I want to report them to BBB. I have a business and utilize their services to make websites for clients. The functionality you would expect to work doesn't, and they ask you to wait days before the issue is resolved. In the meantime, I am not meeting my client's expectations, negatively impacting my business. I was on the phone for 1 hour and 20 minutes, and then the phone was disconnected. Out of frustration, I am sending this complaint to their CEO in hopes I can get help. I will have to find another platform as GoDaddy is no longer a reliable product.

The company's auto-renewal platform seems very glitchy or intentionally deceptive when turning off auto-renewal. It seems to automatically turn itself on after being turned off and continue to bill you for products that you are no longer using. This went on for three years. I had to cancel my credit card to prevent it from happening again. When I notified GoDaddy, this was the response that I received.Hello,Thank you for submitting this request, after reviewing the information you provided, we are unable to approve this out of policy refund request. Please review our Legal Agreements found at the bottom of our website. Thanks

Absolutely horrendous support system. Go to godaddy.com and try it for yourself - I needed help with a denied transfer requesst, chatbot sent me links on how to submit a transfer request. I asked to speak to a representative, I was then texted by a phone number apparently from GoDaddy. This representative sent me a link (********************************************) to provide my customer ID and account PIN before **************'re telling me that a company specializing in ****** services can't provide a support link that has the name GoDaddy ANYWHERE in it? They didn't even have a logo or anything on this site, just a blank page asking me to enter my account info in some fields - looked like a scam from top to bottom.I chose to instead call in to their support. I was connected to a representative who wanted the same info, and asked for my account PIN. She THEN asked for my 2FA from my MFA app. WHY THE **** would any support system require my MFA to view my account details? I'm not even saying this representative was trying to scam me, I have some serious security concerns about how this company chooses to support its customers (it doesn't). **********************, your support system *****, looks like a scam, and seems INCREDIBLY insecure. You deserve a third-party audit going over your internal security. I'm grateful to be moving my domains to a different registrar, because I do not trust your security policies farther than I can throw them at this point.

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback, and we see that you have transferred the domain in question.

Regarding your request for clarification surrounding account security, GoDaddy takes customer security very seriously and has multiple security options available to our customers, including a customized PIN and a two-step authentication option, such as a one-time code via SMS or a verification app. More information about account security can be found in the following article: https://www.godaddy.com/help/securing-your-digital-identity-27881

Terrible customer service. Long waits - they say 9 minutes, actually 20 minutes. Then if they can't solve our problem (website is down, and FTP isn't accessible), they drop the call/hang up. The hang up happened the two times we called over two days.

Owed a refund since January 2024 - have spent over 10 hours over the last 8 months trying to get my money back only to no avail. I keep getting run around - broken promises of calling me back. Whenever you call them they try to upsell you products you do not need. This experience has been one of the most disappointing ever. They also cleverly make it impossible to speak to a higher level supervisor. I also messaged the chief supervisor on LinkedIn with no response. I truly believe this whole company is designed to scam us. My refund was "sent" January 8, 2024 - to my credit card = I confirmed (many times) with my credit card company that they never received it. They researched. I called Go Daddy back and I once again am getting the run around. They do not believe me - pretty much called me a liar - that I did not receive my email. Then in March they told me they would cut a check and mail it (yes, it's 2024....why not credit my card on their file? B/c they said they can't) = WOW. As a business professional, I would have done whatever it took, even if it meant breaking protocol to get my customer whole again. This is after MANY phone calls of repeating the same thing over and over and over again. ONLY for them to NOT even listen to me! They literally gaslit me over and over. There is obviously something very shady about this company if they cannot simply "redo" the refund and send it to me. I have proof that I never received the funds. Now they are asking me for their supervisor to call me back - I refused as I have done this before and no one calls me back.I VERY STRONGLY DO NOT recommend using their products or services. You will waste not only your money but your time. Buyer beware.

In addition to previous complaints that are indeed accurate about GoDaddy, the team operating the platform deliberately continues to process their business customers subscription payments while in return, they hold no intentions to allow a paying customer to utilize the paid services and instead when a payment is processed through your website or via pay link generated by GoDaddy, the GoDaddy Payments Team decides to place a 120-day hold on your payout despite providing the requested documents as directed by GoDaddy in order to release payouts to their paying consumers leaving a negative impact not only on your business but a stressful experience on your own paying customers/clients who have used the platform to pay for your services/products with their own hard-earned funds. Services provided by businesses should not have a negative impact upon their customers and their ability to provide a positive experience by giving them obstacles and limitations to successfully manage their own businesses. Terrible platform to do business on. Highly recommend not using this platform for your company.

Godaddy has made a complete mess out of the Media Temple migration. I received an email a mere few hours before the migration of my VPN took place. Then they migrated the Media Temple mail and screwed that all up. (Forget trying to reach them via chat or phone. They have been deluged with support requests and you can't get connected.) Can you believe they expect me to pay significantly for ********* 365 and ********* Outlook in order to use the email addresses that I have had for free for about 15 years! And that's not to mention that I still am unable to finish the setup for Outlook because my ********* accounts are not recognized. They should have left well enough alone. They probably couldn't stand the fact that their brand name wasn't associated with my account. Thanks for you sheer incompetence!!

I had horrible experience with GoDaddy. I paid them to make a website for me. $1.275. The person on the phone was very good at promising things. When it came down to it, it took them three days to come up with the first draft, and the draft looked AWFUL UNPROFESSIONAL, they used random pictures that doesn't belong to my business Absolutely horrible. Very amateur design that had zero design to it. Terrible, terrible experience, I can't say that enough. i tried to contact customer services, and all of the departments that they have, for a refund i feel scammed, I will be taking my business elsewhere, and transferring my domain out

I had a long history with GoDaddy with several domain names. Recently, my account was hacked and the hacker was able to secure my domain name. (lavidus.com) My domain name is used as my business, and it is also my actual name. When I tried to find out what I can do, GoDaddy was only able to tell me that I was not the owner of the account, which would make sense because the account was hacked, and the information was changed. When it becomes difficult to attain something that is rightfully yours, be aware because there are companies and organizations are often in cahoots with the hackers.
