I booked movers through moving help via UHAUL in October 2022. After leaving the movers a mediocre rating, the movers texted us a series of very serious threats, including violence and abduction. I notified Moving Help of this incident with text message receipts and they informed me they would not do anything because "Moving Help is a neutral venue". I think if a vendor is breaking the law Moving Help should not remain neutral and allow more customers to be at risk.MovingHelp.com

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! We called to ensure their availability, they said yes.They assured me that they would be at my house at 6:30pm and no later than 7pm.I kept getting text stating they are a little behind.My truck is booked, we began moving because we were running out of time despite being injured.Which is the reason for getting movers.They finally show up at 9:20pm, storage is now closed so I had to extend the truck that now has my things. Costing me by the hr. They halfass helped, one was clearly on drugs or intoxicated. One decided to pee while there was no covering to the door. It was removed to take washer out.Then they sat on the floor and would not leave with out the code with 3 women in the middle of the night. I had to book new movers the next morning who got everything done without issue, on time and with time to spare. I cannot express my disappointment enough, I want a refund immediately. I complained directly to the company and requested a refund. The owner stated, you got 2 hours of work so basically they dont give a s*** I highly recommend everyone run the other way when it comes to this moving company. Unfortunately it does appear that the payment for this service was released to the Service Provider through your Customer Account on 7/11/2023. Since you have already released the payment to the Service Provider any refund if the service was not completed would need to come from the helpers directly as Moving Help is no longer in possession of those funds.Review fromRita K

I purchased the highest amount in Safeload Coverage per Movinghelp's website advertisement below. I had several pieces of damaged furniture due to how the movers packed my truck. They laid a metal bed frame on top of my furniture, which caused unrepairable damage to my NEW dining table, coffee table, headboard, and footboard. Although I purchased the insurance, my claim was denied before I ever submitted my pictures and receipts. The response from repwest.com:"I am reaching out to advise our investigation regarding your Moving Help claim has concluded, and unfortunately, your claim has been denied as Safeload Coverage does have an exclusion that does not cover loss or damage resulting from improper packing or cargo shifting."This is the advertising on their website:Despite the best plan, protection, and care, mistakes do happen, and moving is no different. There's a potential for something to get damaged during any move, no matter how careful your movers are. This is why you might consider purchasing moving insurance. **************** is a great tool to have during moving day. Customers have the option to purchase our Moving Help coverage called Safeload. This option protects a customer's belongings when a Service Provider is loading or unloading their items.I am pretty disgusted with the entire process. I secured my furniture with bubble wrap and saran wrap and was told by P&J Moving Experts it would be packed in the truck with blankets. The furniture damage was caused by the movers setting a metal bed frame on top of my furniture and then loading more items on top of that. No blankets, nothing! The bed frame ripped through the bubble wrap and saran wrap. Because of this, the damage was caused by the way the truck was loaded and NOT improper packing.I am trying to escalate the claim, but nothing has happened.MovingHelp.com

Over the past three years, I have used the service more than five times, for personal needs and for business. My experience is just excellent. You need to be careful when choosing a provider, read reviews, and be sure to contact the chosen provider to confirm the details of the work in advance. Compared to ordinary moving, it is much safer and more reliable, since the situation remains completely under my control, and there is no possibility of becoming a victim of manipulation or various hidden charges, as many full-service moving companies do. The only inconvenience is that I have to rent and drive a truck, the rest is only positive. As far as I understand, people who leave negative reviews are mostly too lazy to deal with the details.MovingHelp.com

This service is a great idea, however, it needs much improvement on the process. I booked 2 **************** to unload me. Both stated that they were double booked and could not help me. BUT....the payment for BOTH was taken out immediately. And I had to contact support to get the payment refunded back to my bank account....which will take 3-7 business days!!!!!!!!!??????? Over $700 taken out and I have to wait for it to be returned.How can you take payment for something that's not even guaranteed yet? And why are the companies getting double booked? The first company didn't even contact me about their unavailability. I had to call them. Then was told that ***** double booked them. And they could possibly....possibly get to me in the afternoon of same day booked. All of this caused me to have to pay for another day of rental on my Uhaul trailer. AND I had to unload the trailer myself.All of this is UNACCEPTABLE. I will NOT be using this service again....and I certainly will NOT be recommending it to anyone.MovingHelp.com

In return, you're given a Payment Code to provide to the Service Provider after the job has been completed to your satisfaction. The Provider will enter the code online, and the funds are released to the Provider. We can cancel your request and issue a full refund to your credit card anytime up until you give the Payment Code to the Service Provider. There needs to be more oversight for the moving providers they list as available and ensure follow through. I had made my reservation two weeks prior to my move, for two helpers in ** and then two helpers with another agency in ** once I arrived. When you make a reservation you pay in advance and receive a booking confirmation, in which it appears like you are all set. However, the agency I chose in ** was apparently inactive which I didn't find out until the night before I was supposed to be and I only found out because I kept trying to contact the movers since I had not heard from them and wanted to check in. I contacted MovingHelp and they sent an urgent message to movers, and told me to wait two hours to hear from them and if I didn't hear back then I would need to rebook with another moving agency. At this time, I should have been told the company was inactive. I kept trying to call Moving Help and never got a representative, so you pretty much have to do the chat option which is convenient until you really just need to talk to someone. I ended up getting store credit to book another agency, when I chose another company I was concerned the same thing would happen, but the representative couldn't answer my questions via chat. So I booked, and then contacted the mover I selected, at this point it was 630pm the night before I was moving. He said he didn't know why he would have been listed as a possible mover for my address because he was not local. I cancelled and took the refund and did not rebook through Moving Help, and had to find someone else to help me the next day. The movers in VA were also a terrible experience, but I left a review directly with those movers via Moving Help. There should be an option to review MovingHelp overall on their website as there systems for communicating, and ensuring updated information for movers is accurate. There is ease of booking via UHaul when making equipment reservations, so there needs to be follow through.MovingHelp.com

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I thought it would be trustworthy since it was through U-Haul, but they DO NOT vet their moving services. They will not take responsibility if the movers you hired via their service pull a no call, no show, or worse, don't appear to have ever been a real company in the first place. They won't even be able to find you an immediate replacement. They'll ALSO try to tell you that you have to cancel the order and get the money back as a "credit". DO NOT DO THIS, DEMAND A REFUND. They really f*cked me and made it sound like that was the "only way" I'd be able to both get my money back and get movers at the drop of a hat to replace the fraudulent b******* they set me up with in the first place. This company should not exist, they provide nothing of value. Buyer beware.MovingHelp.com

I hired a moving company following my U-Haul truck rental. Moving Help lists a number of companies that are contracted with U-Haul. I reached out to ******* Movers multiple times and had no response. I also reached out to Moving Help. I received a text message from Moving Help the day before our move stating "your reservation is confirmed" Elite Movers will be assisting with our move. Both companies had same phone number. Nobody showed up day of move. Would not recommend going through Moving Help!!!MovingHelp.com

Nonexistent customer service and inferior website. I had to enter all the information 4 times because the website won't save the information for you to return to. Then it wouldn't accept my credit card confirmation number, said it didn't match my address of 13 years. After finally locating "customer service" where nothing was corrected (email) after 4 messages I was told to call the "customer service" number, where I have now been on hold for over 15 minutes listening to whiny music and a perfunctory voice giving you their hours and listening to the message "skip the wait" and contact the website. Endless times. They don't even ask if your phone number is a cell or landline, so how would they know which to text? This is a poor prelude to a move, which I am highly suspicious about. A "no star" rating would be appropriate at this time, having spent nearly 2 hours just trying to get them to accept my credit card. UHaul should be able to do better if this is their only provider option.MovingHelp.com
