I have been a Charter Spectrum customer for years. Last August my account was terminated for a late payment. I called and was offered free Spectrum mobile for a year, which took some convincing on their part as I was alredy paid up for 6 months with Mint mobile. I accepted only because it was free for the year...Fast forward to January and I start getting texts about my payment being last for mobile service. Suffice to say they have been charging me since August at $29.99 /Mo. When talking to customer service, they can't find anyting on file about a promotional offer....How the h*** do I get my money back?! Also.. the service *****, and only works well on wi-fi. Unfortunately, I can't call them because my service in this valley ***** AND wifi calling will not work since my account was suspended.

P spectrum mobile is horrible. They sent me a faulty phone they gave me phone to information they lied about their warranty they refuse to back their self up they set up my phone and I got identity theft when it was stolen and couldn't lock it then they didn't lock it for over 2 weeks when I reported it stolen. Then the insurance to get a replacement I'm told $180 deductible for a refurbished phone. So I'm out $680 about $750 total with the payments and even the supervisors won't help me guarantee a new phone for the 180 deductible I got to take whatever s*** they send me. I'm so disgusted with this company that I don't ever want to do business with them again. They need to go back to Internet only and forget the mobile they're doing a horrible job. I've had Metro by T-Mobile for 13 years with no problems.

Spectrum is just a sneaky, dishonest company all together. They will lie and manipulate a customer just to get a sale! I called in last year to cancel my plan as the price was outrageous. They sent me over to retention after supposedly canceling my account. The lady I spoke with offered me a deal for 500gb wifi and a free mobile line for an amazing price. I didnt have a phone to connect to my line so she offered a tablet they had a deal on for really cheap. When I realized the tablet would take 2 years to pay off and the bundle deal was only for a year, I expressed my concerns and declined. She then said not to worry. When the deal expires just call back retention and they will give you another deal. A year later, I do as she said. Apparently there is no longer a retention department. The gentleman I spoke with was very dismissive and would not direct me to someone higher than him. I hung up and called back, got another gentleman who transferred me to a manager. He, too, said I was pretty much ***. Either pay a monthly fee for the line PLUS the tablet fee OR cancel the line and pay the remaining balance in one lump sum. I even asked to just pay the payment without the line as I could not dish out the lump sum on such short notice, they refused. I made sure to ask the right questions before agreeing, next time I go through something like this, Ill be sure they put it in writing as we can no longer take anyone at face value. Its ashame the world has become so money hungry. Needless to say, steer clear of the headache and hassle this company brings. I do not recommend doing business with a shady company!

Being in a rural area,we are limited to internet providers.Spectrum came to town and a knocking. All we wanted was Internet and landline, but, guy sold ** on cell phone too. That's when the aggravation began. We had to order 3 new phones since only 1 was transferable. No problem,we were going to pay them off.We immediately ordered screen/phone protectors for each of them.We went out of town for a couple of days and everything we needed had been delivered. So,we started by protecting our phones and then, the activating nightmare.None of the 4 phones could pick up a signal. Thankfully,we had the landline,so for the next 3 days,we spent hours with customer service trying to get phones going. After so many reps, one finally says "Oh I see the problem,we don't have good connection in your area" Aggravated,we start the return process on phones before we run out of time since they go by date shipped not received. We returned phones as soon as we can and we see that instead of credits, there are more charges added to our card! They claimed that the phones we had returned had visible damage and they had charged for half the price of each phone. Needless to say,we were outraged! The phones were protected from the time they came out of the box to the time they were sent back. Not to mention, that we only handled when they were trying to get them going. They sent us pictures of phones that had scratches through out them that was impossible since ours had the protectors on them. But, since we didn't take pictures before we sent them in,they totally SCREWED us.The experience was making our blood pressure spike and realized we'd die of a heart attack with the experience and the very sorry customer service we started getting once we went through the return process.Almost $800 in charges and no phones to show for.Do NOT get Spectrum Cell. We have no problem with the other services, but, Spectrum cell has no business being out here. It's very upsetting that a company is allowed to do this to people.

I had spectrum since they were time Warner cable. The cable side is great. No complaints. The cellphone service is good too. You are actually saving money. I do however have a suggestion for spectrum, they should allow anyone to sign up for their mobile service and having Internet shouldn't be required but it's understandable why it's only available for internet subscribers.

My number did not port in. Previous carrier fully released, my phone went to "sos" with my previous account terminated. Previous confirmed number was released and everything was done on their end. Spectrum mobile doesn't seem to know what is wrong. Chat support says my issue is with their "war room" for quickest turn around time. Be very cautious if you need a working phone to make calls. I travel and will be lacking coverage when not on wifi and cannot make calls which is not safe. Other reviews state the same issues over at least a year back and spectrum does not provide a specific resolution process. That free year isn't worth it.

From purchasing devices in the Spectrum store, to the way that they handle delivery of the products you buy, the entire experience is HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, AWFUL, and a complete waste of time. First, it took over 2 hours to purchase an Apple Watch and an Iphone 14 from the store. You have to provide your SSN number in a crowded store a number of times, and give them several forms of identification to purchase the devices. The employees blame the outdated computer systems being used and are very rude. Once you navigate the horrible waters of the store experience, your true nightmare begins. You get peppered with demands from ***** to stay at home for an entire day to sign for the devices and/or log into your Spectrum account to provide additional informaiton. I called Spectrum Mobile and told a customer service rep. that I had a prior work commitment that I could not move, and Spectrum told me to let the delivery from Fed Ex happen three times, and it would be sent back and my card refunded. No sooner am I at work after advising Spectrum to cancel the order, do I get a note from Fed Ex that someone has signed for my device. After calling Spectrum to advise that no one is at home to sign for the device, I'm told that is a Fed Ex problem. When you call Fed Ex, you get the same run around and told to call Spectrum. Bottom line, Spectrum Mobile is a complete disaster. I am actually sorry for anyone that works there or tries to do business with it.
