    Paul, who is the building manager at 161 Wilson Avenue is to be congratulated and recognized for being highly responsive to the needs of tenants. Last week i filed a maintenance request late in the evening. On or around 9:30 the following morning, Paul came by and asked if he could take a look at the issue. He looked, went and obtained his tools and in under 2 hours made some exceptional repairs and replacements to the pipes and taps. I am very pleased with the work he did, his responsiveness and his attentiveness to excellence. We are fortunate to have him.

    This is the best place in country to live as long as you don't care about the following to work: plumbing, constant running water, heat, running elevators (2 of 3 have been broken down for 11 weeks) so we have approx. 900 people sharing 1 elevator. We have 1 visitor parking spot for 250+ apartments. My bathroom sink has been clogged for 8 YEARS!!!!

    Unfortunately I was told to bring last months rent but after she told me that she disappeared for 4 days then tells me sorry its rented but if I want I can drop last months to there office and will call me if something comes up. So no I'm not giving money for them to hold just because. And when I was told unit was mine took my money then oh its rented. The tenant the rented the unit to been there a week and wants to move already. Sorry for the rant but now I might be homeless cause I went by what she said.

    I am deeply concerned about the security issues at the *** *** ** ***** ****** buildings. There have been multiple incidents of theft, strangers entering the building, and people smoking marijuana in the stairwells at night. It's alarming that the management hasn't taken any measures to address these issues or create any kind of security for the residents. As a resident, I feel very unsafe and worried about the safety of my apartment. I hope that the management takes this matter seriously and makes efforts to improve the security of the buildings. It's important that we all feel safe and secure in our own homes."

    * * * * * * * * * I’ve been here almost 10 months and they just hit me with a $200 a month increase for a 1 bedroom. When I tried to negotiate and:or try to discuss concerns I was blown off by Site Manager Elaine C. Regina - who has “0” customer service skills. They don’t care. ****** ******** I do LIKE my 1 bedroom. They did a good job renovating. Poor groundskeepers.

    I live at ***** Local in Ottawa. Potential renters should be aware that these buildings are not under rent control. After my initial 1 year lease, my rent is going up between 9% or 12% depending if I sign another year’s lease. I did sign a 1 year lease renewal but a few more years of rent increases this high and I will be completely priced out. It’s a shame because I truly love this place and thought I found my forever rental. The amenities are great and it’s very clean and the other tenants are friendly and respectful. I wish my income/wages were going up by the same amount as my rent increase but this is not the case.

They rushed me to pay my security deposit and when I wanted a refund, it took 5 persons to look for my check in which they still couldn’t find. They gave me a copy of my check and told me the back would take it. They had waiting for 3 hours. ****** told me my application check was being processed every time I called only for her to tell me that it wasn’t processed and was put aside today. **** *** **** ************ ********* *** *************** * ***** *** ********* ******* **** *****

    Carl, our building manager, is one of the best ones we have so far. He cares for tenants and is very helpful and always listens to the concerns of tenants at *** ***** *** and goes out of his way to help the tenants. **** *** ***** *** ***
