Neglected Maintenance, *********** Management, and **** Staff - Save yourself time and frustration ** ******* ******* ****** Maintenance requests are usually ignored even when it is urgent. At one time I had a leaking ceiling **** ****** ****** and the water was dripping next to an electrical wire which is a safety issue. I submitted many requests to get this fixed and management ignored every single one of them. I had to file with the Landlord and Tenant Board to try to get the issue resolved Since I started living at one of Hazelview Buildings, no staff member stayed in that building for more than 6 months. Most of the time there is no building manager on site as it takes them months to hire someone. ********** and professionalism are pretty much non-existent. *** **** ***** ****** ***** **** * ****** **** ***** ******** ******* ***** ** *** **** This is the kind of people Hazelview put in the building.Review fromMehdi z

********* ****** – Hazelview Properties ** ***** ** ********************** Pointe-Claire, QC *** ***, Canada Unfortunately, the place has gone downhill in the past year, very little cleaning staff provided. Building maintenance turnaround very long wait. Recycle bins overflowing after 4 days, the smell is overpowering at times, 160 units only 1 handicap parking provided, Surprise announcement given 2 weeks notice that they will be charging for visitors parking. You have to let the water run at least 20 minutes every morning because of the rusty pipes and awful water have no choice but to buy my water. If you are on a wheelchair good luck no ramps and no plans to have one. Pool has been out of service for at least 1 months. At one time they had amazing people working here.Review fromJudy G

At the beginning we got the second floor but are recent landlord **** to Malcolm on how we we're so we reaplied and got accepted but the second floor was taken so we took the fourth floor so then we asked Malcolm if we could get a suite on the second floor as soon as it's available and he said yes which is in are lease agreement but he hasn't followed through with it because a few people have moved out on the second floor already and the other issue is we ended having a heavy rain poor about 5 Months ago I ended up catching it the first time before it ruined anything so maintenance that day had told me they had fixed so that's what I thought and then it ended up raining again and I didn't bother checking because I was told that it was fixed and I trusted them but when I went back to the room where the leak was apparently it wasn't fixed and it totally ruined my bed which costs $5000 because it's a special bed for my ******** and Malcolm doesn't want to take responsibility for his wrong doingReview fromAngelika A

I live at Hazelview Properties in Calgary for a bit over 2 years, and have nothing good to say last Winter it was unusually cold I was unable to properly close my Balcony doors plus could not go in within 2-3 feet to the door as there is and still is not a good seal on and around the Glass Doors, so I ask maintenance to take care of it, what was done is not sufficient they put rubber seal with a sticky back around my seals on my Door but on cold days I still can feel the wind coming in and now I am unable to open the Doors because of the sticky rubber the maintenance put on, the parking lot is another issue, no proper signage and after freezing rain the parking lot is a ice rink, we had not very many days like this this year but the days we did I fell and slipped twice, smoking in the building is also a huge issue, I moved in here because is was smoke free now with new tenants in the last few weeks/month there are 4-5 apartments with smokers, I am highly allergic and I am not the only one, when I ask about this I was told oh no there is smoking, funny the rest of us who have been here a bit do not know about it,Review fromAngelika A

On Saturday morning, around 9:00 am, I went down to the basement laundry room to complete my laundry. Unaware of the rule that clothes should not be left unattended for more than 24 hours, I left my laundry there. Unfortunately, on that particular day, one of my housemates had taken the access card key, which prevented me from retrieving my laundry until Monday after work, at around 11:00 pm. I noticed a note affixed to the wall which read, "Take out your DAM clothes so others can have access too. It's been here since 9:00 am this morning." I thoroughly checked all three machines and the entire laundry room but could not find any trace of my clothes. I promptly contacted Alessia, the building manager, The following day, I called her and personally explained the situation. However, she mentioned being preoccupied and stated that she would review the surveillance footage when she found the time. In a subsequent follow-up call around 4:00 pm the same day, Alessia informed me that she had viewed the camera footage and observed several people removing clothes from the machines. However, she claimed that she was unable to assist further. I find this response disconcerting, especially considering that the note specifically mentioned that our laundry had been there since 9:00 am. This raises concerns about how the person responsible for the note knew this information. It is clear that this incident can be easily resolved by examining the surveillance footage and taking appropriate action against the individual(s) responsible for the theft. I believe Alessia possesses the necessary information and resources to resolve this issue but appears unwilling to provide assistance. I kindly request that you take this complaint seriously and initiate an investigation into the matter. ** ******* *****Review fromFarha W

Live at a Hazelview owend property in Toronto. Hazelview has a terrible reputation amongst the tenants as a landlord that is solely focused on bottom line profit, doesn't properly fix things, (and if they do, not in a timely matter) and is constantly trying to increase rent any way possible. They recently sent out a letter to tenants requesting they pay extra for the use of an air conditioner. A illegal request which contravenes the rights of tenants. Nice work Hazelview.
