We worked with Aire One Kitchener Waterloo to fix an issue we had with our boiler in the Winter of 2025. They came out and installed a new part but the part was defective and the boiler once again become inoperable again. They came out again to check on it and they never let us know what the real issue was. We ended up without heat for 2 weeks. They would not call us back about the status of any replacement part or any other suggestions on how the boiler would be repaired. We called numerous times and they had no answer. They left us hanging for 2 weeks. I even had the name of the manager **** and she never called back or emailed back. **** ******* *** ** ******** ******* ********** ** ********* *********  We ended up being without heat for 2 weeks when temperatures were less than 1 degree and they didn't have the decency to contact us. ********* ********* hired Aire One Kitchener to inspect my water heater, as it failed recently, and as part of a 'Mandatory Gas System General Inspection' in our area. Although we have rented gas water heaters for the past decade in this house - we now had to upgrade to an electric water heater. The electrician supplied by Aire One recommended I upgrade to a 200 amp panel, as my 100 amp panel didn't have enough breaker space. I was quoted on the phone, ** * **** ***** ****, that the 200 Amp upgrade would be close to $4000 because the city would need to work on the line that connects to the street. It turned out that I couldn't run a 200 amp panel, so we went with what was explained as a less expensive option; a 125 amp panel. I approved this option verbally - as I was without power or hot water, and this should be less expensive. When the work was completed all the scrap wiring and old pieces were left on the floor or ground outside... too many holes were drilled in our ceilings and walls. I received a bill for a total of $4900 +! I've called and emailed asking for a breakdown of parts and labour, but they refuse to send me anything with appropriate detail. ** ***** *** Aire One's electrical apprentice *****, *** goofed around on his phone the entire time, ** ******* ** ****. I can't recommend using Air One Kitchener for any service. * **** ******* **** * **** **** *** ****** ** * **** ******* ********* ********* *** **** ****

The details mentioned do not appear to align with your file. Prior to moving forward with the upgrade, you agreed to the quoted price, and it was clearly communicated that we would need to proceed with a 125 amp upgrade, which you approved.

Additionally, during the follow-up call, you confirmed that you were satisfied with the installation. Please note that all of our calls are recorded, and at no point was a lower price quoted — the price we provided remained consistent throughout the process.

If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss this in more detail, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to help and appreciate your business — we truly value our customers

Great expectations but actual service and follow-up has been very disapointing. When I questioned whether our humidifier was working correctly the tech even said the humidifier was working perfectly . . . . simply by looking at the thermostat control . . . . saw "Humidifier On". Didn't even look at the humidifier. If he had he would have seen it was as dry as a bone — no water flowing — and the filter needed to be replaced. Another firm came in and said it likely wasn't working when they installed the new furnace! Gee, and I was thinking about signing up for their much-promoted VIP Maintenance & Protection Plan. Hmmmm.

I had an E2 error code on my furnace and it was running intermittently. I contacted Aire One to confirm the pressure valve was stuck and needed replacing as the E2 error code indicates. After doing a number of tests the technician confirmed the pressure switch needed replacing. He used his tablet and confirmed the part was $1000.00-$1500.00 for an OEM part the only kind they would use. My furnace is under 10 years old but he insisted that in our climate this was the life expected. He advised in writing that the high costs to repair this furnace would be best put towards a new furnace and that he could have his sales manager come by that day to quote the options. I was not desperate like most people would be with a broken furnace in winter as I was able to get it running by resetting it. I agreed to see their sales person 2 days later giving me time to investigate the matter. I was able to buy the exact OEM part delivered to my house exchange, duty and freight for under $200.00 Canadian. They were obviously inflating the price of the part to push me into a new furnace costing thousands of dollars. I called to speak to a manager when I canceled the sales appointment but he was not available and did not return my call. They only tried to call me after ** * **** ****** ** *******

Had furnace, a/c and water heater installed in spring of 2023. When they installed the equipment they told us all of our gas lines had to be replaced and quoted us an outrageous amount to replace them. We decided to have someone else come out to install them for a quarter of what Air One wanted. We were not impressed with the installation of the equipment and called to have it inspected by ********. ******** flagged 4 different things that were not done correctly and gave them 30 days to have it fixed. Yes, air one fixed them because they were mandated to. Now, less than 2 years after the installation we are having a problem with the water heaters pilot light. We called customer service and were told that the parts were under warranty for 5 year but we only had 1 year service warranty. The total installation was over $17000 and they want to charge a service charge to come out and fix the broken equipment that is still under warranty!! We called someone else and are willing to pay double just to not deal with these ****** again. ** **** ******** ****** ******* **** ***** *****

******** ******* ** **** ***** ***** ******* Air One installed furnace (*******)and A/C in my home July 2021. After the second attempt of putting it in(first one didn’t fit). The Furnace is jammed into my duct work, causing air flow issues. Which causes my furnace to turn off for safety purposes. My house most nights cools off anywhere between 12-15 degrees. It takes me all day of going down stairs every hour to flip the furnace switch to turn it back on. I have had them here to service they blame it on my air filter (3-6months old and can only be purchased through them for $220 plus tax for 2) had them back with clean filter and they blamed it on my air exchange vent being closed. This is the third winter it should not function this way. A/C works well aside from the fact it leaks all over my basement floor. It also drains into the bottom of my furnace. It makes the filters wet. Their solution is to send someone out charge me $160 which has to be paid by credit before they leave your house. I called ******* because I didn’t want air one back in my house to grove me the run around.. They had ******* Service Guy come for a second opinion. I was told that this style furnace is not meant for an old house like mine the duct work is not built for it. He gave me some wedges to put under the furnace to help drain the water out the drain. Air One still won’t fix the actual problem. I have parts and labour warranty for 10 years I’ve yet to see them use it, they keep blaming it on things that are not under warranty. (Filters made by only them) I have called asked to speak to a manager with no reply. Terrible customer service * **** *** *** **** ***** *** * ** ****** ** **** *** ** ********  I would not recommend to anyone.

Customers beware of the half price furnace tune-up and inspection. If you have an older unit >15 years old the technician will try to find the minutest hairline crack in your exchanger to invoke their code practice of shutting done your heater. They claim it is their duty to inform the customer first and shutdown immediately even if it is -20 C outside. * ******** ** **** ***** ******* *** I understand that if there is a serious crack with the potential to release CO into the air flow then I agree shutting down is the best course of action but when you have a <3 mm hairline crack adjacent to one of the bolts then this is not considered immmediately serious. **** ** *** **** ** **** *** **** ********* **** ***** ******* *** **** * **** ********** ********* That is to alert the customer of a potential problem and advise that the issue needs to be addressed in the next week or so. The ***** tactics of shutting off the gas and "locking out the heater" is over the top *** * ** **** **** ********** *** ******** This locking out position is followed by the offer of an immediate replacement with a sales person standing by to provide a quote. In my view this is unsavoury practice *** * ******* **** * ***** ***** ***** **** ** ****** **** *** *** **** ****** **** ***** ********** **** ***** *** **** * ****** ** ***** ********* *** ******

Aire One upgraded my furnace and AC unit. They did such a great job I had them come back for some electrical work including a pot light installation project. Lori T helped set me up with the right system and kept each project in budget. The installation teams were efficient, clean and courteous while in my home. I highly recommend the Aire One team if you’re in need of home comfort, plumbing or electrical needs.

** ****** had a new furnace and heat pump installed in the summer. There were a number of what I would consider relatively minor issues with the install (e.g., missing bolts to secure the outdoor unit, missing screws on the furnace, non-clamped lines, etc. etc.). Given these issues, however, I started to look closer at the install, and noticed that they installed the wrong indoor unit. Our contract was for a 3 tonne unit *******************************************************************************************************, but they installed a 2 tonne unit *******************************************************************************************************. These have significantly different heating and cooling ratings. When I reached out to Aire One after I noticed this, I was repeatedly told that the unit they installed, although technically a different model number, was identical to the model on our contract and the 24k unit they installed can in fact run at 36k BTU’s. This didn’t seem possible to me, so I researched this in some depth online (and consulted with other HVAC professionals), and every piece of evidence pointed to these being different units with different heating and cooling capabilities. When I followed up with Aire One after doing my research (and supplied documentation), I didn’t receive any satisfactory answers, and was simply told again that they are the same units, and that that the information I found through my research wasn’t accurate. I reached out again twice more recently to follow up and haven’t received a response. I’m at a bit of a loss of what to do now. * **** ******* ** **** ***** * ***** ******* *** *** *** *** ** **** **** **** ********** **** *** ******* ** ****** ******* *** ****** ** provide me with definitive documentation from the manufacturer ****** that they both do in fact have the identical heating and cooling capabilities (i.e., 36k BTU).
