    EcoShield is clearly a predatory business preying on the unsuspecting by dropping by homes unannounced to recruit new clients with false promises to lock you in to a contract. I didn't have an opportunity to look up reviews or their service history before signing a contract when they showed up on my doorstep. I agreed to this contract if they'd be able to stop by the following day to perform their first service. The technician knocked on my door at the scheduled time the following day. I ran down, saw him as he was walking on the sidewalk and waved. We both acknowledged each other and I walked back inside leaving the door ajar for him to enter, which I assumed would be within seconds, but he never came back. I never left the premises and the backyard isn't accessible without me opening the gate, so there's no question the service was never performed.

    I called to speak with Ethan, the representative that signed me up to question what happened, and he said the technician performed the service on the front yard, which I knew wasn't true, but even if it was, it in no way explains why the rest of the home wasn't treated. I didn't receive a call to reschedule the service and saw thereafter that the charge had been put through on my CC.

    Given this experience, I called to cancel the service and requested a full refund having no desire to conduct business with a company that operates unethically. After several 30 minute - 1 hour phone calls with representatives, I was told they'd need to get back to me once they spoke with the local office to ensure the service wasn't performed and demanded proof of the service not being performed before they'd consider giving me a refund, which I of course was unable to provide.

    Their MO became clear at this point and after reading other online reviews I saw this is their pattern. EcoShield wants to lock you in to a contract, perform poorly or not at all and refuse to cancel the service without payment, including cancellation fees.

    They put the account under the wrong name and refuse to make changes to it so they can keep billing you. They said it would require a written power of attorney. Very poorly run company. They refused to provide the owner's name.

    This is a scam. A salesman showed up to my door and lied to me about this service. He told me I would be charged a quarterly fee and all sorts of initial fees were waved because of the neighborhood deal and that my next payment would be in December. I was charged 2 months in a row. He said something about an annual contract, and I told him I wouldn't be there for a year; he said it was fine and that I didn't really have to keep the service for a year... to just let them know when I was moving; but the contract says I'm locked into a year, and other reviewers said they were charged when they tried to cancel before the year was up. I was also told mice were included, but I see now in the contract that they are not. I would never have signed up for this service if I had known the truth about this awful company.

    Worst experience ever. After much deliberation we determined that the ineffectiveness of the treatment program coupled with the fact that the technician never showed up were sufficient reasons to terminate our service contract. We did so and thought all was well. We then received calls claiming that we owed an outstanding balance of $169 for canceling the contract early. I reached out to inquire as to what this was about. I also explained that we had already been charged for a service that was never rendered and that we were not going to be paying any additional funds to eccoshield. As an option I offered the solutions of either refunding our money and we could simply then use that, or they could simply use the funds taken to cover any perceived remaining financial obligation on our part. Ecoshield then proceeded to call me no less than 14 times and to text an additional 8 times (this is well beyond the harassment threshold). I explained in text, email, and on the phone several times what was happening. They said they would reach out to the local office (that the tech would have been dispatched from) and that they would investigate they visit in question and that someone from that office would get back to me. Nobody ever got back to me, and I have received 5 or so calls from ecoshield billing department since then. So to summarize, ecoshield took funds from my account and never supplied the service for July. We cancelled our contract in August, and since September 1st have received no fewer than 14 calls, and 8 texts concerning this issue. At no point has ecoshield addressed my concerns or even followed up on the actions they said they would. At this point I am at my wits end and simply want this company to leave me alone and to stop trying to extort money from me for services that were never rendered.

    Bad experience. Sales rep was a nice young guy. After receiving service for several months, we still have ants. We are trying to cancel service but customer service strongly pressures us not to cancel and the. keeps saying they will call us back and are basically ghosting us. Would not recommend.

    EcoShield Pest Solutions is not the solution. The company is a joke. I was given a better rate than the pest control I had. So I signed a contract with them and then cancel my other contract.

    First appointment I was told me couldn’t make it that day. I had taken off work and lost a day of pay. Rescheduled the appointment and 2hrs after my time I was told by my pint of contact they no longer do condos. Another day of pay lost.

    They have no clue what they are doing or what buildings they service. Stay away from this disorganized and dishonest company.

    And now I no longer have pest control at the rate I had before since I canceled and my new rate is higher.

    Thanks, EcoShield for providing service worse than the pests and raising my rates and losing 2 days of pay.

    EcoShield Pest solutions seems to have no consequences when they cancel their contracts.

    The sale representative explicitly told me I was not signing a contract. That this was a one time service for 160.00$
    I now see they have me scheduled for a full service.
    I was intentionally misled and cosurset into a commitment I did not want.
    I intentionally asked if this was a one time charge and was told yes.

    ECOShield supposedly treated my home on Aug 9, at 1428. I called the customer care line at 1438 after reviewing my home's exterior and noticing spiderwebs in three locations. I asked that the technician return and complete the work but was told no one answered and I would receive a call back in 24hrs. I waited, and no one called, so on Aug 11, I called the customer care line at 0912 and complained again about the lack of service and was once again I was promised a return call, but none came. In the meantime, despite my calls and complaints, I was billed for a service that was, at best, done poorly and, more likely than not, never completed. It is now Aug 14; I called again and have just received the same song and dance. It is an absolute shame that I have to call repeatedly to get them to complete a job they are happy to bill me for but seem unwilling to do the work.

    The salesman came to my door, I told him I was not interested. He then pointed out a wasp nest on my house and said his service would get rid of those. I told him I had used a pest control service before and it was not effective on wasps. I wasn’t interested. The sales men then told me eco shield was different and they had a special wasp prevention program and because that was all I was interested in he would just give the wasp prevention program to me.

    I signed-up and they performed their first service and they came back 30 days later for their second egg killing service. At that second service they ignored several active wasp nests I had on my home. I called them back immediately and pointed out they had missed the wasps. They came back the next day and treated the wasp nests. That evening I noticed the wasps were at the exact same place where their nest have been removed by eco shield building a next again. The wasps seems perfectly fine and we’re not deterred from building their nest again. I used wasp spray on them and they did not return.

    I reached out to eco shield and asked to cancel. They passed me back and forth between departments. One department told me they could apply a treatment that would prevent the wasps from building nests. I told them that was what I thought I had paid for! They promised to send out a person to apply the treatment.

    That same day ecoshield called me and told me because they had just been there they could not come for 10 more days. And if I needed the special wasp treatment I would have to pay extra for that. I told them I was under the impression I had paid for the wasp treatment. They said that was not the case. I told them I wanted to cancel then. They said ok and transferred me to two different departments neither of them could cancel my account. I have been trying to cancel my account for 24hrs now and have not successfully done so yet. No one at this company seems to be able to help.
