      Bank of America sold my mortgage to this company. I have nothing good to say about SPS. None of their agents know what exactly is going on. Poor customer service. This company wants you to loose your house.

      Worst mortgage company I have ever had. My mortgage was transferred to them in November. Since then its been one problem after another. First it was the fact that I didnt receive a bill for almost two months but they definitely called about it beginning on the 2nd. Then after collecting my entire escrow payment for November and December, they removed my home insurance from the escrow and claimed it was never included. Then today I receive a new escrow analysis statement claiming my current escrow balance is negative 22 thousand even though their website currently says positive over a thousand but because of their error, they want my new payment to go up more than five times what its current payment is. I have never had so many issues in my life with one company in such a short amount of time. And after reading these reviews, Im scared it wont get better until I either refinance or pay it off.

      If I could give less than one star, I would. Predatory practices is how this company is managed. My elderly family member is on a fixed income and she has owed the same amount, 27k, for the last 8 years and paid her mortgage regularly.This year, they raised her interest rate to *****% without any reasoning behind it. They have regularly raised her interest annually 1% per year since I started helping with her bills.The breakdown of her "low" monthly payment applied 90% towards her interest.At the rate it's set at now, it will take 124 years from today to pay off the balance of her 30 year mortgage which was opened in 1994.This should have been paid off this year.Avoid this company at all costs and if your mortgage gets sold to them, do what you can to get away.

      crooks and illegal dealings. My previous mortgage company sold my mortgage to Select Portfolio Services a.k.a. SPS in 2008. I have been making my mortgage payments every month. In 2023, I asked 3 phone representatives from SPS as to how that my original mortgage was for $404,000. and now they say I owe $653,000.! Now again, they want to put me in the modification program. I refused to sign the paper agreeing that amount is owed to them because they cannot explain why they added $249,000 onto the original mortgage from 2008, except one other person from SPS told me that the value of my home went up!! I told her that has no bearing on the mortgage. So now they will not allow me to make payments on my mortgage because it is out for legal for foreclosure. I asked why? First it was because I did not return that paper, but now SPS says I have not paid since 2022. I told them that I have all my bank statements showing I have made all my payments. I asked them, if I haven't paid since 2022, where is all my payments going to???? and why 2 years later you want to put me in foreclosre???? No answer.Now I have to try and sell my home to get out from under this company before they foreclose on my home! I will sue them for all lost monies!! DO NOT TRUST THIS MORTGAGE COMPANY!!!I had to leave at least 1 star to submit this. They do not deserve it!

      Like Max earlier, they screwed up my escrow. They stated that since I make weekly payments their system would automatically apply it to principal, which I wouldn't mind in some cases, but in this case I am owing them 13k in escrow because their software sucks. They claim they can only go back as far as 2 months to adjust, but that's complete bull. Run if you get stuck with these people. FYI, totally not even a star worthy

      Horrible unorganized customer service! Screwed up my escrow account and wouldnt give me my money back so I could pay my insurance! Complete Bull! Nobody knows whats going on there, or do they! I wish interest rates were lower so I could refinance with someone else!

      I had to give one star, but would actually give none. Avoid this mortgage company at all costs. Brian, one of the supervisors is a waste of energy. They screwed a bunch of us, but have dragged their feet "making us whole." They have known about the mistake and have had my $3500 since 12/23 and have not even completed the damn check processing to get my money returned. My mortgage was sold w/out my knowledge. Just awful.

      They are a bunch of scammers. In order to get the loan I had to pay my property taxes with them. After about 1 year they raised my property taxes by 23,000 dollars. After consulting with the mortgage company and requesting to know why my property taxes were that high, they gave no valid reason for the increase. I proceeded to go to my tax collector's office to validate the raise in my property taxes, they stated that my taxes have not went up and they have yet to receive a payment from SPS. I then requested the escrow to be removed from my account and that I would pay my property taxes myself as I did so before accruing the loan. I filled out the required form several times and yet they still refuse to remove the escrow from my account. The only way they would have given me the loan was if I applied the escrow to the loan. It's not a full mortgage all I did was borrow money against the property. I also request receipts showing they paid the county property taxes and they stated that they couldn't provide proof off payment to the county. All I wanted was to pay my principal and interest on the loan and they refuse to remove the escrow from my account.

      Sps truly s****! We have them pay property tax and home insurance on our behalf, it's our first year of buying this house and using service, but it's been a nightmare!Sps pays property tax late, because we received a letter from LA county requesting ** to pay proper tax or get a penalty, wTH! Sps is supposed to pay on our behave Since we paid them along with our monthly payment. So, we called sps customer service and was adviced by their own agent that we could have property tax and home insurance removed and pay on our own, So I've been dealing with this **** Since july 2023, and we are in December for God sakes! I Did written form sps agent told to and called for updated ever since. All conversations are being recorded, because there really isn't anything i knew how to do. Sps agent told me to only pay monthly payment while our request is being reviewed, So i Did. Then when i call next time, the agent has absolutely no clue What's going on, read the notes **** it! I asked your agent to make notes every time i called, So that next agent would have the most updated info. Apparently they don't look! Every single time i call, they told me to wait that it's being reviewed, for half a year?! Sounds to me you don't take customer's request or question seriously! Wuen i finally get to ask for a supervisor for help, they ask for two documents that i didn't have when first buy the house, You could have told me at the very beginning, So i don't waste all these freaking months calling, i have a life! Sps agents gave mixed info regarding our account. Check our recorded conversations if you don't think you'd done so, why did you ask my consent to record while you're acting like the worst customer service on earth? Train your agents to know better! This isn't right!
