DO NOT BUY THIS GRILL UNLESS YOU ONLY INTEND TO COOK CHICKEN Model: TFB88PZB Serial Number: *********************** I bought this grill less than a year ago for Fathers Day, and I regret every *****. If you plan to cook anything longer than a few hourslike pork **** or brisketthis grill will not get the job done.Unreliable for Long Cooks Within 8 hours, ash buildup triggers a temp error, shutting the grill down. If its an overnight cook, I have no idea when it actually cut off. Ive had to finish multiple cooks in my ovennot what you buy a pellet smoker for. At this point, its more surprising when I finish a cook than when I dont.Even Chicken Is a ****** Today, I tried cooking 15 lbs of chicken, and the auger wouldnt turn. **************** was helpful, but by the time I got the grill working, the chicken would have been done already.High Maintenance Mid-Cook I use Traeger pellets, stored properly, and the grill is always covered. Despite this, I have to take the grill apart mid-cook to vacuum out ash. Cleaning between cooks is one thing, but this should not happen while cooking.Temperature Issues The built-in temperature probes are always inaccurate. The grill temp is never correct, making it impossible to trust.A Simple Fix That Would Help A latch to empty the ash would make this grill more usable. Instead, I have to dismantle it mid-cookridiculous for a premium ************* Verdict I wish I had never bought this grill. If it were a car, Id be calling a lemon lawyer. If you want a grill that actually works for ***, look elsewhere.Review fromSonia B

So disappointed. I feel terrible for the people forced to read their scripted **************** BS when they know darn well they sell defective products now. Long story short...we are grill people and know when we are sold junk. But we went along with hours of phone calls and being sent replacement parts we had to replace OURSELVES with no resolve. The Ironwood 885 we purchased in July 2024 never worked from the start and finally had to accept we got screwed out of 1500 bucks. ****** learned. I'm so sad to see this company's stock trending downward to its imminent demise. RIP.Review fromConnor H

*** had the grill for 10 weeks, cooked on it 10 times and I have paint damage on the outside of the grill. The customer service representative claimed it wasnt clean and that we need to clean it every 30 cook hours. My grill has a total of 30 cooking hours and Ive cleaned it 4 times thats just about 7.5 cook hours per clean. $850 grill just for it burn the paint off and there warranty doesnt cover cosmetic damages when you buy a grill that expensive I except the cosmetic look of the grill to hold up. Especially with cleaning it, keeping it cover and indoor storage. The customer service rep was explaining that only the downdraft styles are covered with warranty because of the way the are designed the heat of the grill comes out of the back. The damage to my grill is right above the grease chimney meaning heat can also be escaping through that. Please be aware before spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on these grills. I understand manufacturer faults, but at least take care of them when they are reported. We were supposed to buy my father in law one next month for his birthday and my aunt is supposed to also buy one for my uncle, I will be letting them know to maybe go with a different brand. I cant believe the amount of money I spent on this just for it to start deteriorating after 10 cooks. Please do research before buying name brand. Also lol, used there oddly expensive degreaser to clean the grill all four times as well ! Glad I spent the extra money for a $850 grill to look like trash.Review fromTheresa T

Loved the grilnthe first year or so we had it. We have had it 5 years now and really disappointed it shuts off doesn't cool food through. I've had to take it apart several times and still problems. We believed the whole not having carcinogens argument to buying it but really disappointed in its reliability. Lack there of.Review fromLaDonna R

We purchased a Traeger Pellet Grill (Pro Series 34) less than 2 weeks ago and used it twice. The drip pan is already rusting and the material is degrading. This our second Traeger and we did not have this problem before for years. I was not surprised after many years of frequent use for the drip pan to eventually fail. We were quite surprised to see this happen after 2 uses with the new grill. I called customer service and was given the run around for a while until I insisted on a supervisor. Two hours of my time was wasted addressing this matter. After escalating up to 2 levels of supervisors they finally agreed to MAKE AN EXCEPTION. As a valued customer, it should not be an exception to take care of your clients.Review fromTravis L

I ordered an Ironwood XL grill that was dropped off at the wrong location. When I escalated to Traeger they told me to wait 72 hours. After 72 hours I was told to wait another day. The next day I followed up and was again told to wait another day. During this process the person who received my grill was nice enough to let me know and I was able to retrieve the grill. Traeger customer service responded by essentially telling me all matters were resolved and there was no issues because I had to track down my own grill and then deliver it to myself. While it is company policy to not give compensation, there was a lack of an apology for the mishap, and 0 urgency to fix the issue in the first place.Review fromRachel D

We had a traeger grill before and had no issues with it. We got a new one and it never got up to temp. We called their customer service and tried troubleshooting. They sent us a part and said we are still under warranty so if this doesn't work call back and we can send you a new one. So, when that part didn't work, we called back. They wanted to trouble shoot again. Also, the person never gives their name, a call back number, an email when asked. We received another part 2 weeks later, that didn't work. We called back. So far, we have called 9 times and been "disconnected" 3 times when we ask to speak to a supervisor. I don't think this is on the callers, they are always professional and nice even-though have no idea how to troubleshoot a broke grill and they hang up on you. I think this is their company's policy on how to combat sending replacements under warranty. If you never can get ahold of anyone higher up in management then this is obviously a scam. We spent over $479 on a grill that never worked, tried to trouble shoot, and still can't get a replacement. I will never use this company again, because of how sketchy their customer support is.Review fromChris R

Worst experience ever, bought Traeger Tailgater did not work, had to return to retailer, bought second Traeger 575 pro, quit after one use, contacted Traeger, I was advised it needs a replacement part which will take 1-2 weeks to arrive, which I have to install! I bought this a day ago, used it once!! Unreal! Buy anything other than Traeger!Review fromVictor R

Purchased a Traeger this time last year. Not happy with overall performance. 3 issues within a one year period and still the same problem. I requested the piece of equipment be replaced entirely. They kept insisting on sending me parts to install myself. The tech support is a joke. Ruined my Christmas and new years dinner plans. Will never buy another Traeger.
