      I hate to leave this review. I left one last time I had an issue one of the owners came and promised to make things right.The problems are still there. Apart from some talk from by ****** promising to fix everything Ive received no actual support. Of these guys try and sale you on using the for solar install/repair run. This is the second time Ive had to leave a negative review for smart. We bought solar panels from a company that sadly is no longer in business called gosolar. The *** sunnyboy inverter they installed just randomly doesnt work. I contacted *** who gave me the run around, but eventually referred me to smart wave as their local partner to help with warranty issues. The first time I contacted smart wave they also gave me the run around and after weeks of trying to get the system fixed they sent an email wanting to charge nearly $1,000 just to look at the inverter. They also wanted me to pay a few hundred dollars starting the moment their techs left and the entire time they were traveling. I left a review about all of this and a vice president came over to my house with all sorts of promises, and wouldnt leave until I had changed my review. When he did leave the customer service manager **** went right back to giving me the run around. I worked with *** to give smart wave complete access to my solar panels. Once every other week I email **** to see what is going on. Every week I get the same response. That she is looking into it, and should have a solution shortly. That solution never comes. *** is the big bad of the situation, but smart wave isnt much better. It has been a nightmare just to get them to come look at our inverter. I am sorry to say that if your looking for a solar power provider look somewhere that doesnt use sma, and isnt smart wave solar. Of the execs read this, and would like me to provide a better review do what you should have 5 months ago and send someone out to trouble shoot the system so it can be replaced if needs be.

      Commitment to Assistance
      Smart Wave Solar is committed to assisting Michael Hardy with the issues he has encountered.
      However, we respectfully dispute the nature of this complaint, as:
      The system was installed by another company that is no longer in business.
      Mr. Hardy was referred to us by SMA Solar Technology, the inverter manufacturer, for troubleshooting.

      Clarification on the Issues
      The primary issue stems from communication failures between the solar inverter and Mr. Hardy's internet connection.
      This communication issue affects the accuracy of the solar production monitoring reports.

      Note: These internet-related issues are outside the scope of our typical services.

      Background on the Case
      Mr. Hardy's system was installed by a different company, now out of business.
      SMA Solar Technology referred Mr. Hardy to us, as they felt they were not liable for system performance. We accepted the task of troubleshooting, even though Mr. Hardy was not an original Smart Wave Solar customer.

      Summary of Findings and Resolution Efforts
      The issue is likely linked to the communication between the solar system and the online monitoring platform, affected by Mr. Hardy’s home Wi-Fi connection.
      While issues with internet connection are outside our typical services, we are assisting the customer to find a solution.

      Communication with Mr. Hardy
      On September 27, 2024, we informed Mr. Hardy that the data transmission issues were likely caused by his solar system's connectivity to the monitoring platform.
      Despite the issue being related to the home internet, we have been working to provide solutions.
      Scheduled Wi-Fi Review and Service
      We have scheduled an appointment with Mr. Hardy on October 31, 2024 for a Wi-Fi setup review. The goal is to identify solutions to improve the connection between the solar system and inverter. Our service crew will assess options to enhance the Wi-Fi signal for better communication stability.
      Mr. Hardy has approved and agreed to this appointment.

      Regarding Mr. Hardy's low reviews
      We acknowledge his concerns, but emphasize that Mr. Hardy was not originally a Smart Wave Solar customer.
      Due to the increasing number of solar companies shutting their doors, Smart Wave Solar has seen a rise in requests from customers whose original providers are no longer in business. Assisting customers with systems installed by other companies is a new process for us. We are actively working to streamline our approach and improve our service for such cases.
      Despite this, we remain committed to resolving Mr. Hardy’s issues and providing the best support possible.
      Commitment to Continued Support
      We appreciate Mr. Hardy’s patience and are committed to supporting him.
      We will continue working to ensure the proper functioning of his solar system.
      We remain in contact with Mr. Hardy to provide ongoing assistance.

      Smart Wave Solar was great to work with, they were not pushy but were very helpful during the sales phase. During the install they were responsive and have us weekly updates. Their installation was high quality and has given us no problems in the year and a half it's been running. I highly recommend Smart Wave Solar!

      It started well enough and we are still pleased with the panels. They seem to work well and up until April 10, 2024 all was good. PRIOR to getting the panels installed, we asked about waiting because we knew we were getting our roof replaced - our sales *************** who is no longer with the organization) assured me that Smart Wave Solar would provide the service of removing and reinstalling the 15 panels as a service they provide for their customers. I read the agreement and asked about the details of 'said service' (because the wording was vague), and he assured me that this process was something that they provided and we should go ahead and take advantage of having the benefit of solar power.On April 10 I reached out to Smart Wave Solar and spoke to ****** to start arranging the process of removal, etc. so we could get our roof work done. It was then that I was told the charge was $315.00/panel ($4,725!!). On April 12 I spoke with **** and she assured me that we could come up with something that worked out for everyone and that she would bring it up during the upcoming "tech team" meeting and get back to me. I didn't hear back, so I called back on 4/29/24 and spoke to **** again. She (again) said she would bring this up during their upcoming meeting. Since then, I have called and left messages on 5/8/24, 5/23/24 and 6/21/24. I have heard nothing back so here I am leaving a negative review.

      Worked Thru Hail-damaged roof and reluctant utilityUsual saga starting in May, 2021 as our Utility was changing so the Eng. Docs were changing too. Smart wave persevered despite it all and we were ready to go near the end of the year, but the Utility delayed into the end of Feb. 2022. ********* in 2023 forced a detach and restore of panels with the usual "WTF" odd issues. Again, SmartWave stuck with me by reporting their findings, sending out Electricians, and eventually overcoming it all.
