May 23 2022 signed contract (round river rock, etc.) June-July hail storm and pests (needed new roof/termite nest treatment before landscaping since they would interfere with the project). Owner cleared some grass, example round rocks, etc. Roof tiles were on backorder so that caused a roof delay until July 21. July 22 landscape workers completed project. July 28 contractor assessed project with homeowners and offered to place pavers since large rocks were impassable (cannot walk on nor roll garbage bins safely), insert owner's metal edging so rocks won't roll onto **********. Aug 10 pavers installed but not our metal edging. Aug 19 homeowner let contractor know we realized that the landscape fabric had been cut up when pavers were placed (not up to industry standards). Aug 26 workers arrived when home owners weren't available (had not been told they were coming, they only spoke to a neighbor who texted us the following day). Sept 7 was agreed on next scheduled appointment between *****am. No one arrived so homeowner texted contractor. Said he had ***** and would "send someone in my place in the morning." Homeowner replied "sorry you're sick, supposed to replace fabric, etc." Contractor called back, angry. Next scheduled appointment set for Sept 21 at 2pm. Contractor AND several workers arrived. At conclusion, one homeowner briefly assessed job (assumed it had been completed as agreed upon because there were several men not just two). Other homeowner was in a business conference call and could not check. Contractor immediately asked for check $2056.75 which was provided. Sept 24 homeowner went out to finish job by placing the metal edging. Noted that contractor had not replaced the cut up landscape fabric as had been agreed upon. Homeowners emailed the contractor and asked if they'd be willing to complete the job by replacing the fabric or offer some refund so someone could be hired to correct the error. Contractor replied "I think we have done all we can for you."
