completely impossible to get a live human on the phone. They've been "currently experiencing longer than normal wait times" for 5 YEARS now and it's a very effective way to screen out "nuisance calls" from customers wanting actual customer service. Hey Midco, how about hire a few more people in customer service and pretend you actually care about that.

After 30 minutes on hold I was able to reach a live human to cancel cable. When asked why I was cutting the chord I told them their cable services are drastically over priced in comparasion to **********.... Their answer was to downgrade services rather than sharpen their pencil, and it's fairly obvious they really don't actually care about retaining a 15 year customer.

Cutting the chord could end up backfiring on the consumer because streaming APP-based TV could be more expensive than overpriced cable in the end, but until that happens it's hard to ignore the fact that ********** + *** are basically 1/2 the cost of Midco's middle channel package and NO ***.

There's a lot of ways to watch TV and Midco doesn't really seem to care about customer retention. Competition ultimately makes existing players better or irrelevent, and if Midco is unwilling to get their pricing inline with the competition the customer will do it for them.
