Midco’s internet reliability is absolute garbage and that might be unfair to garbage. The internet routinely drops out unannounced and customer service will play ignorant and pretend there’s been no service problems, when the whole neighborhood is down. With so many working from home, you’d think reliability and communicating outages would be a high priority, but midco doesn’t value their customers. I look forward to new competitors breaking up their monopoly and scare tactics.MIDCO

I wanted to take a moment and recognize one of your employees. His name is Dan he was a very empathetic, compassionate, caring person and we need more in that in this world. Customer service isn't the way that it used to be but with your representatives it's a class act job time in and time out. I'm a Single Dad of 3 with stage 3 colon cancer. I coach football and basketball maybe some of your kids the last 14 years. You all have always been there for me even in just a few words and I appreciate that. All of you give yourself a pat on the back it's well deserved. I know it may just be a job to some but it's a job that you all do well. Thank you for your time and God Bless you. I am an over the road truck driver and I am never home. When I canceled my service I explained that I can't send the modem back right away because I am never home. Next thing I know I have collections calling me for a modem bill! They turned me into collections for $160 without another call from a Midco employee about the status of my modem. I would have paid Midco directly for the modem.MIDCO

I recently had my WiFi upgraded to fiber and was told that the only price increase would be an additional $3 for the new equipment. I received my next monthly bill and it was nearly $10 more. I am now being told that I am being charged more because there is an additional pod, which they never mentioned would cost anything additional. I never agreed to anything more than a $3 increase. I reached out to customer service and they said there is nothing they can do about my bill other than remove it going forward if I send it back. This is the equivalent of getting a quote for an oil change and the mechanic also installing a new oil filter and charging the additional amount without the customer ever agreeing to it.MIDCO

Canceled service. They took money from my account as was auto withdrawl monthly without consent after I canceled. Said they would pay all back. Only paid back portion. Called three times. They owe me money. They are never going to pay back more than they want to. Cancel your ACH before you cancel service. 5 year customer and this.MIDCO

We do bill a month in advance, so any funds still owed due when services were turned off would not be returned. That being said, I absolutely want to confirm that this is the case here. We were told the new fiber optic was the way to go. Nope. Faulty equipment that had to be replaced. Wi-Fi that couldn't reach 10 feet past my front door so I couldn't run my Wi-Fi capable ******* grill. Loses internet connection on a regular basis so the Wi-Fi dies as does my home security system. It's a joke. We will be watching tv and the next thing we see is "Video Loading" and then there's the going to screen saver mode, which even per the technician, that feature is shut off. We've lost the tv and Wi-Fi, did all the troubleshooting
while talking to the rep ( I'm not getting paid, but should be), and scheduled a tech to come out. 90 minutes later, everything is up and running again. Canceled the tech visit and a week later, same issue. Called Midco again, did all the troubleshooting for them again, and scheduled the tech again. 69 minutes later, it's working again. DID NOT cancel the tech this time. He calls 15 minutes before the schudled service to tell me everythin is working fine, all updates are done, so really nothing for him to come and fix.
The next morning Midco calls to tell me that we weren't home (?) So the service couldn't be done. ************** We've had Midco for about 20 years and they are over priced for what they provide and it is constantly down. I like the condescending responses of how sorry they are and how they value their customers. ********************MIDCO

I was able to locate your account - pertaining to the scheduled technician, it appears there was an outage in your area that was resolved. When the outage was resolved the technician likely called you to let you know as your issue was likely related, and the follow-up call the next day was likely our automated systems follow-up on those types of outages. All that being said, I absolutely do not want you to have any continued issues. The rental fee for a modem is ridiculous. Midco should be held responsible for their equipment if they charge a rental fee. Midco should be liable for upkeep and replacement, but no, the customer has to take time out the their day to swap out the equipment themselves at the store. I've paid thousands of dollars renting this piece of equipment only to have shoddy service and intermittent internet. Modems should be free of charge.MIDCO

We can send a technician, mail you a modem, or swap it at one of our local stores. Was a long time customer for years but recently switched providers do to price difference, shortly after canceling my services I was charged over double what my original bill was and after contacting customer service about the charge they just kept giving me the run around and no solid explanation and said I would only get a third of what I was charged as a refund. So beware if you decide to switch they will take you for everything you got and poor customer service on top of it. Billed $233 and only getting $90 and change backMIDCO
