  When I call AMI to pay on my Avera debt, they transfer me directly back to Avera. Does Avera own AMI? If so, are they now making fee on fee? It is incredibly hard to reach my final individual to pay each month as I keep getting transferred from one representative to another to another until finally getting back to Avera where I wait for what seems forever with THE MOST ANNOYING hold blather. Debt collectors for medical debt are pretty close to the last ring of Dante's Inferno.

  I’ve called everyday for weeks, left messages and get shoved to other areas where no one answers the phone. You keep sending a process server to my house and job but won’t answer the fucking phone! Poor service, staff and communication. You also try and collect on debts that are insurance responsibility and don’t pull them back once those claims have been paid!

  Terrible business. My ex-spouse owes $4900 and I owe $200, so who do you think they keep coming after? Me, the one that owes $200. I have a divorce decree stating we pay our debts, plus my state is NOT a community property state but they keep coming after me anyway. I told 3 people today that I would pay my $200 but they don't seem to want to take my payment. Now I have a garnish letter at my door for the total amount. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND DOESN'T DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!! Coming after the person with the smaller debt makes no sense. Plus they have never spoken to my ex or mailed him anything! I am at my witts end!!!

  I have paid some money to fix my avera bills, then I like to continue paying the next rest of them. Because the account number is in the of Grace and Mangola Mulamba. Can I exactly know if the amount of 1,899.04 is just for me or both of us? This is an appeal for me to make a payment arrangement instead of the all total amount above mentioned. I am on cancer treatments and facing financial hardship. I am really willing to pay for my own debt from the account number 2253936.Thank you for your understanding.

  This place is horrible! I never talk to anyone always voicemail never called back. They refuse to let me set up payment arrangements! They are taking over 500 a month from my checks. I can’t afford my rent and I have 3 kids. Ignorant people to work with

  Grace M. On November 29, 2023 hit it right on the head. The non-profit known as Avera has all of their dirty misdeeds handled through their front Accounts Management Inc. AMI ONLY serves Avera. Here are the numbers from public record: 30000 lawsuits in 20 years. 30000 lawsuits against the patients they care so much about. I am gathering up all the lawsuits that Avera has taken out against all of their beloved patients that they love to say they care so much about. 30000 lawsuits. Every one of them will be posted on the Facebook Group South Dakota Exposé. Public record of all the executives as well. Its time people get to see where the hamburger comes from.

  This debt collection company is owned and supported fully by Avera McKennan, yes the same hospital that touts their "Christian mission" and claims to support the dignity of all human beings. They don't even hide it well. Look up the business and you'll find the registered agent is Avera's patient accounts lawyer. The presdient of AMI is Avera's fromer CFO and current interim CEO. Accounts Management Inc is a front for Avera to collect interest that lines their own pockets and so Avera the hospital can display a shiny front for people, while also ringing out people for money (even though they are a non-profit hospital). I won't run over the people I've talked to on the phone with a bus because they are still humans who need jobs and to provide for their families. But they're part and willing contributors to a system that is actively hurting the people the hospital is claiming to want to heal. I asked one of the people on the phone if they only service Avera Mckennan claims and she said yes. Avera is their only contract. But that means, if you catch it your bill in 30 days from AMI, you can call Financial Assistance or Billing at the hospital and have them transfer your account back to Avera rather than AMI (because they're one in the same). AMI and Avera are part of a hypocritcal, slimy system that crushes people for more profit.

  not only is this the most abhorrent cesspool of unfeeling social rejects and morons ive ever come across, but they also live in perpetual fear of the people they financially mentally and emotionally destroy. they are too cowardly to even accept payment face to face. if you are going to be a part of one of such a violent business, you should have the backbone to face the world as the snake you are. i hope this "business" fails into obscurity sooner than christ returns.

  Absolutely worst company to ever deal with. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. They also harass you. Trying to sue me over an $800 medical bill. Came to my house to bring me garnishment paperwork and told me that they apparently dropped a copy off at my work as well. They are literally the worst

  I have attempted to call to try and set up payments. I have left voice-mail, and tried numerous numbers listed on the paperwork I received. I can not get through. I have tried several different times over the past few weeks and get no response.
