My fiancé and I have lived at an AR property for 18 months. About two months prior to our lease ending we received a letter that our rent is increasing by about $600. My fiancé and I are both medical professionals with student loans and we simply cannot handle a $600 increase to our monthly bills. We feel blindsided that we have only been given a 2 month warning on this. Similar rental properties in the area are still charging much less despite inflation and economical factors. We are now stuck trying to find somewhere cheaper to move in the winter. The only redeeming thing is that the property is nice, maintenance is quick, and the on site manager is caring. It is a shame that AR corporate cares more about maximizing their profits than taking care of their tenants.

We have been at ****************** for almost 18 months now. We have had nothing but problems with neighbors selling drugs and smoking weed constantly. Our house smells like a ******************* concert every day and we dont smoke. We have filed several complaints. With the office getting nowhere, we have asked for corporate phone number. We dont get anywhere there either. They hide the corporate number from residence. As of the last two months, one of the neighbors has a new pet which has fleas which are getting into our apartment, giving our dog fleas. I have informed management about this yet they have done nothing. I have spent several hundred dollars trying to get rid of fleas but they keep coming in from the other apartments. They sent me a renewal lease and wanted to raise the rent over $100 who would pay $100 more a month to live in a place that smells like a ******************* concert and feels like a kennel. $1100 a month is plenty for this nightmare so I told them we were leaving and why we were leaving because we dont feel safe anymore and they charge me $145 due immediately before our lease is even up or I would get a late fee. So do not sign any lease with these people. We have been through four managers in the short time weve lived here, and none of them will do their job. This is the worst place I have ever lived and the most expensive. There are literally cops and ambulances that come through these apartments on a regular basis on the weekends and you get an email every day, saying how quiet it was in the neighborhood which it most certainly was not.

If you manage the ***************** Apt ************ **, those property managers ****. Ride as can be. And over charge. I still have not received my deposit back. I move out July 1. 2022. Bad managers and no where to park. So glad I left. Rent is to high for crappy noisy sqeeking floors. I could hear man upstairs pee in toilet, from bed.

Everything was going great . . . Until I had an issue with pests (i dont want to say what) . . . We knew the issue was not from us because we are clean and also we had been staying here for a little over a year with no issues. Got new neighbors and all of a sudden things got out of hand. I tried moving apartments I was told there werent any available but there were some apartments available. I also asked if we could get out of our lease since the issue was not our fault (This was and still has been said to us by the pest control professional). I am honestly ready to move. The rent went up $300+ more dollars. All i can think of is its not even worth it at this point. Also, every apartment I have stayed in in the past has regularly scheduled pest control services to prevent these issues. Its included and we didnt have to request it. I was told for this issue that they would come regularly, but instead I have been having to request it. . . Im really just tired of the issue and dont know what else to do. My advice. . . The amount you pay here for rent you may as well just buy a home. If you cant afford a home just try somewhere else. . . If there arent any other places available for some reason just pay for pest control subscription and uuhhh HANG IN THERE ! ??
