    Century Support Services and Century *********** are both doing fantastic work to help folks get out of debt! I am humbled to be part of this program and it has given me relief and new tools to be successful in the future! Its one thing to take care of the debt, but its another to do the work that you need to personally to find why you were spending in that manner! And find the trigger points and to work on those!The program is very successful and in 11 months they have settled 40% of my debt! However, I have been contributing large amounts to make this happen! This is one thing that you must realize whatever you are giving them monthly, it has to accumulate enough for them to be able to make contracts with your creditors!My only recommendation would be that when Customers reach resolutions of their accounts, that have been settled through the Century Legal support, that the system would prompt information to be sent to the customer to remind them of the possibility a 1099C form and having to pay taxes on the forgiven amount!This is mentioned in the very beginning of the program, but since theres so much information, that you get in the very beginning, it would be nice to have a reminder to give you the assurance that youre still on track and you dont have that many surprises around the corner!Information such as the possibility of having to pay taxes on your forgiven amount and a 1099C form being sent to you before the tax season. Information that lets you know that once your debt is forgiven its forgiven, even though the creditors may be able to call you after its completely settled with that debt. Its just that the creditors can call you only a certain amount of times per day for so long! And lastly, to realize that you may need an accountant to do your taxes for the upcoming years that you are in the program.Its a fantastic program and customer service is tops!     Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against [Century Support Services, LLC ], regarding deceptive practices and the ongoing charges to my account despite receiving conflicting information about the status of my debt settlement.I began paying $222.04 per month to [Century Support Services, LLC] in 2022 as part of a debt settlement agreement. I was assured that these payments would go toward settlement fee and settling my debt. However, I was recently informed that my account was considered "non-active," despite my consistent payments. Even more troubling, I was told that I am still required to continue paying this amount for a "settlement fee," which I was previously told had already been paid in full.The company further informed me that I must wait until June for them to re-negotiate a new settlement, at which point I will be required to begin making payments on this new agreement. This seems completely unjust given that I have already been making regular payments toward a settlement that I was led to believe was concluded.I am extremely concerned that the company has been continuing to take my payments without providing clear or accurate information, and that I am now being asked to pay for something that I have already paid for under the original terms. The lack of transparency and the continued charging of my account without proper explanation is both frustrating and distressing.I am requesting that the Better Business Bureau intervene and assist me in resolving this matter, ensuring that the company stops charging me for fees I was led to believe were already settled and that I am not unfairly charged for a new settlement without proper justification.Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.Sincerely,******* *******

    Ms. ******** we regret any gap in communication & misunderstanding regarding your program. Thank you for taking the time to review your concerns further with *****, a member of our Customer Advocate team. We are happy that *********** resolved your concerns and that you are reinstating your ********** ***** reviewed with you, Century successfully negotiated a favorable settlement on your *********** account in May 2023. This 53% settlement was structured to be paid over 48 months. At Century, we only earn a settlement fee after successfully negotiating a settlement on your behalf, you approving the settlement and the first payment is initiated to the creditor. While our fee was earned in full at that point, we voluntarily spread the fee collection over 32 months in order to allow you the opportunity to take advantage of that settlement *************** are correct that your monthly program deposit of $224.04 was being allocated toward your structured settlement and Centurys earned settlement fee. In June 2024, you reached out to inform us of financial difficulties that prevented you from making your contractual monthly deposits. As there were three months in which you werent able to deposit into your special purpose account, there were not enough funds available to continue initiating the payments toward your settlement agreement with ***********. Once you resumed consistent deposits, Century continued collecting the earned settlement fee and began working on renegotiating a new settlement with ***********.We look forward to supporting you on your journey to better financial health.

    I have had great customer service every time I call . The only thing is everytime I ask how long this process takes I always get a different answer. If it's going to take a year or months please let us know up front. Otherwise thank you for your help in my debt consolidation.

Congratulations on achieving your first settlement too! You were just about 2 weeks enrolled into the program when we successfully negotiated with one of your enrolled creditors. That is a fantastic start to your journey.We regret to hear there has been some confusion regarding process timeframes. According to your Debt Settlement Agreement (contract), your full program is estimated at 44 months. We present this contract to you for review, prior to your signature, so you can have the upfront chance (as you mentioned) to review the information. In terms of the structured settlement you are currently in with ***********, your last payment is this month and then that debt will be fully resolved. The funds you deposit monthly will start building in your reserves allowing our negotiation team to begin working with your other enrolled creditors. You are on a successful track! Keep staying the course with your consistent monthly deposits and let us know if you have additional questions.

    DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY!! I thought I did my research and came across a good company, and WISH I would have looked at BBB. The gentleman I spoke with in the beginning was so helpful & informative & answered all my questions, made me feel great about joining this company. I was very hesitant, and it took me a few days to finally commit. I thought I had covered all of my basis, but you don't know what you don't know unfortunately. Fast forward to 30 months later, I'm in a worse position than I was in, and my credit score is worse. I submitted around $20k of debts & was given about a $400/month payment to Century for 48-month long program. I was relieved and felt confident and comfortable with my decision until about 1 yr in, when all of my debts were being sent to creditors (which I was told would NOT happen, because it was one of my questions and concerns before joining, the *** told me "NO, that will not happen & don't worry because we will be in communication with ALL of these creditors and offering settlements") HAHAHA. I joined in June 2022, now in December 2024, ALLhave impacted my credit score, and I have been served 2 court summons, and currently my paycheck is being garnished for 8 payments. I have withdrawn 3 credit companies because I am paying them on my own! So NOT ONLY am I paying Century $400 a month, but I am also now paying $325 every paycheck, plus $25 every paycheck, plus I paid off another one about 6 months ago. Life is great. I would have been better off filing bankruptcy in June 2022, but I didn't because I wanted to pay my debts back that I incurred because it's the right thing to do, because I'm a good person. Anytime I call century they don't care or understand. I can't back out of the program because then I lose the "progress" I do have and I lose all the money I've given them. So far, I've paid them $11,079.90, they've paid off $4650 in debts including their settlement fee's... so where is the other $6430-ish dollars you ask?! Who knows.
