Took my vehicle to the dealership where the service *** called C A.R.S. protection and got a inspector out to see my vehicle. Got a approved for about 98% of which they paid $3800 and I paid my deductible and what they didn't cover. Which I cost me $400 out of pocket, which isn't a bad deal if you ask me. All this happened during the holidays to which was a little hassle but they did get it fixed. I am very thankful and happy on how it all worked out. Thanks again.C.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

I bought a 2019 *** 750 with 36K+ miles and the radiator started leaking. I contacted Cars Protection Plus (CARS) and I was informed that I could take it to any mechanic. I took my car to ******** *** on 12/11/24. There was a communication breakdown between CARS and ***. I didnt get updates from ***. When I called ***, the service *** said they were waiting for CARS and when I called CARS, the *** said they were waiting on ***. CARS finally sent the inspector, but my car sat 8 days with no repair. On the 8th day after being the intermediary between CARS and ***, I was given another service *** who said I was approved for $1076, I called CARS and the *** confirmed that amount was actually $1776. I contacted the *** service *** with the update and I got no response. I went to ***, my original service *** was out and service *** I was given was at company function. I was fed up, I told the service manager to give me my car and I was not charged. I called CARS to cancel my claim with ***. I parked my car for the holiday and I opened another claim with Auohaus of Union 12/30/24. CARS approved $1550 instead of the $1776 approved for ***. I paid $427 out of pocket.C.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

The CARS Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:It sounds like a lot of your issues were with your original repair facility and not CARS. CARS cannot respond on behalf of that repair facility.Regarding the difference in authorized amounts between repair facilities; mechanical claims do not transfer between repair facilities and authorized amounts can vary for a variety of reasons. The difference between the two (2) mechanical claims made on behalf of your Vehicle was that the second repair facilitys labor rate was $50.00 per hour less than the first repair facilitys labor rate. The out-of-pocket amount you paid on the second mechanical claim was your $100.00 per mechanical claim deductible and items that are not listed for coverage on your *************** Contract such as, miscellaneous shop supplies and the radiator hose. CARS hopes this information was helpful and thanks you for being a CARS customer. Sincerely,The ************************ laReview fromMandy W

There are a lot of bad reviews on the insurer, but my experience was not bad at all. We have two (2) *** vehicles (2016 435ic & 2021 X7) with a policy on each. I did get feedback from our mechanic (local garage) that CARS was difficult to deal with in filing the claim. I was told by our local mechanic that certain parts (valve cover) that is habitually replaced with a failed gasket was not being covered, but in the end the insurer did cover it. We had to reassure the mechanic that we would pay the cost of any work not covered. The process with our local mechanic took over a week, which I thought was excessive. CARs covered just over $1,400 on the parts and repair. That same week, we also took our X7 to the *** dealership for routine service and were told we needed a ball joint and some type of rod at a cost of $2K. The dealership made the claim and CARs sent out an adjuster the next day to inspect. The report from the insurance adjuster took a day, and approval was given the following day to complete the repair. In all it took 3 days to get the vehicle serviced, repaired and returned. CARs did not replace certain bolts associated with the failed part/s, which I opted to replace at the dealership's recommendation. I did call CARs on each claim to check on the process and see if I could assist at all. They were prompt and professional on each call. I did ask the insurer if using a dealership versus a local mechanic was more efficient in the claim process, but they denied any difference. My advice, know your policy - read it and follow it. Be prepared to direct your mechanic if they're not familiar with the process. I printed our policy and highlighted the process, policy number and telephone numbers for them. I found most mechanics and dealerships are familiar with the claim process. So far, we are happy we had the insurance, but disappointed in the amount of time the local mechanic and/or CARs took to complete the first claim/repair.C.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

Very poor customer service. My truck has a warranty with Cars Protection. The rear end needed to be replaced. The first used replacement rearend was damaged. Several weeks went by before a new rear end could received. A dispute for required labor hours occurred between Cars Protection and the repair shop. No consideration by Cars Protection of the amount of labor incurred by the first defective rear end. I've called and tried to get the matter resolved however after several phone calls and emails, Cars has ignored my concerns. I've been waiting over a month for this to be resolved with no end in sight.C.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

The CARS Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:CARS has reviewed the mechanical claim opened on October 17, 2024, by your repair facility on behalf of your Vehicle, and the original rear differential was declined by your repair facility at delivery; therefore, there was no labor charged for installation. The labor time for the rear differential on the final invoice submitted to CARS by your repair facility was .3 hours less than the labor time that was submitted on the estimate at the start of the mechanical claim. Taking that into account, any difference in labor amount/time is likely a difference between what your *************** Contract (VSC) covers and what your repair facility charges.CARS apologizes that the original rear differential arrived damaged as CARS understands what an inconvenience it can be to not have use of your Vehicle. The replacement part was received by your repair facility on November 14, 2024. On December 02, 2024, CARS received the final invoice from your repair facility and issued payment in the authorized amount.CARS hopes this information was helpful.Sincerely,The ************************ laReview fromjacob s

I purchased this extended warranty from the dealer when I bought my car. I am certainly glad I did. This car has seen more than its fair share of problems and C.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc has covered all of them thus far. I have had the car and warranty for almost five years. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase of this extended warranty and will purchase again with my next auto purchase. I would recommend this company to anyone purchasing a used car or wanting to extend their warranty after the manufacturer warranty.C.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

Zero stars if I could! My dealer sold me a warranty with this company and they are TRASH! They only covered $75 an hour on labor with my transmission and they do not pay for fluids or any kind they also wanted to get my transmission from a Junk yard with mo warranty. The mechanic shop will not work on my car without being able to complete the job correctly. They quoted my $1580.00 on top of the small portion this warranty company quoted them! I am taking legal action on the warranty company for false information and the dealership because I havent had my vehicle 60 days before this issue and they drug it out until the 3 month warranty almost over. Im easy for the battle/ war! I asked to speak with a supervisor numerous times but no escalation process is available. They do NOT COMMUNICATE with you they only deal with the shop and make the shop relay this information of what they will not cover. Its sad and a scam the customer service is a rude set of bitter people that dont like their jobs and due to you not having a claims adjuster you have to call in and give contract number EVERY time to be transferred to whoever answers the phone! I would definitely not recommend buying from any company that uses this company as a warranty companyC.A.R.S Protection Plus Inc

The CARS Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:CARS offers a variety of *************** Contracts (***) with differing coverage levels, some that cover any repair facilitys posted labor rate within industry standards. The *** CARS has on file for you has two (2) labor rate options; the repair facilitys rate up to $75.00/hour or the repair facilitys rate up to $160.00/hour. You paid for the $75.00/hour option. Regarding the parts, you were provided two (2) options on how to receive the parts needed for the repair; CARS can ship CARS supplied parts, sourced from a third-party parts supplier, and assist with the labor OR you can take the claim allowance, currently quoted at $2,663.06, and have the repair facility provide the part. CARS supplied parts come with a 90-Day Parts and Labor warranty OR upon contract expiration, whichever comes first. You are correct that diagnostic information and claim decisions must be provided by the repair facility who is fixing the vehicle; however, a customer can call and review their mechanical claim with CARS if they choose to do so. CARS hopes this information was helpful.Sincerely,The ************************ la
