Beware of this company, if you signup with them you will be trapped under , they are scammers, I joined Body Mechanix Gym with 16 week bootcamp program $79/month , after couple of sessions I found it completely uncomfortable as premises more than forty members at the bootcmap not able to focus 100 %, all the gym instructors will instruct to do some floor excercises which demotivated me, I contacted gym to cancel my membership, however gym said we have no control about your membership you have to contact NAC to cancel, When I contacted them and requested to cancel membership they are not willing to do it , I in fact asked for a buyout option assuming that I have to pay $79 x3 ( I already paid for the 1st month ) however NAC thrown me an unfair amount for $583 for 16 weeks and I have not used any of the services from them , I magnanimously offered to pay the full 16 weeks program but they are threatening me to pay $583 to cancel the membership which is totally unfair , someone reading this and in similar situation like me and willing to take any lawsuit please let me know I will join and submit all the necessary documents. i still don't know how to come out of this Trap and creating unwanted harassment

Worst Company Ever - All i can say is READ THE FINE PRINT and don't listen to anything either the FitSmart rep or Gym is telling you - they just want your signature of the damn paper so they can get your money. I was one of 2 people who successfully complete the 16 week bootcamp class, there was no sign-in sheets - it was based on you going and holding yourself accountable. We barely got any instruction at the gym with little interaction as there was many other classes going on at the same time. All we got was to ride the bike and run for 3 miles every class then a little kickboxing instruction. I sent my certified letter to get released from the membership but because i couldn't provide proof that i successfully completed the bootcamp (because there was no sign-in sheets), my membership was not cancelled. NAC stopped billing me so i assumed it was resolved. I didn't find out it wasn't resolved till got a letter in the mail threatening me with collections. I called to see how much i owe to get out and was told that i only owe the $89 (monthly cost was $79 but because i was 'late' there was a late fee of $10). I submitted the final payment ad thought it was resolved and i was done with these scammers. However, i now received another letter stating i owe $267 with another payment due in December for $79 for a total of $346.... I called them when i got the letter to ensure this was it but we will see.... i already did it once before but clearly they are just out for the money. I am going to pay them just to get them out my life but beware - They will scam you and like others have stated - anyone start a class action lawsuit, let me know - i will absolutely join. People work hard for their money... everyone thought they are signing up to better themselves by getting back in shape but all we did was sign up with a disgrace of a company. And don't be fooled - FitSmart is just as bad!!!

NAC is a payment processor and not a party to Ms. S***** agreement with the Fitsmart program. As such, NAC has no authority to make changes to Ms. S***** agreement outside the options provided in the membership agreement. NAC is NOT a collection agency and once Ms. S***** account reached a specified time threshold, NAC was instructed to refer the account to a collection agency. As a payment processor, we hope that our customer service team was able to provide Ms. S***** the proper information as provided in her membership agreement to a satisfactory level even though NAC has no authorization to meet Ms. S***** requests.

NAC was not instructed by anyone to refer me to a collection agency. NAC threatened they would if I don’t pay even though I requested to cancel after I successfully completed the program. They rejected my request because I could show sign-in proof but the business they represent don’t do sign-in sheets.

I have had the worst experience with this company, they are rude disrespectful, I was denied the right to make a payment the Supervisor Amy states that she did not need to give out her last name. That there was no other management person that I could speak with. So I am reporting them to every authority that they may report too. Do should not be in business at all, I wonder if their management team is a ware of their unprofessionalism.

Terrible company to work with. Cancelling memberships is beyond difficult. Forget actually speaking with someone or writing an email with account information and clear instructions to not take any more payments and cancel the membership immediately. They need their ridiculously long & involved paperwork completed before they even consider stopping stealing your money for services you haven't even used. Even the company who unfortunately uses NAC as their payment processors were VERY CLEAR about how difficult and strict NAC were and mentioned more than a few times, if we wanted them to stop taking our money we needed to put it in writing. Unfortunately, they weren't specific enough with the lengthy process required by the "difficult" to work with company. Obviously, they're cheap. They rely on making money charging people for services that were never received and they don't care. I would suggest you steer clear of signing any agreement with any company that uses National Acceptance company as their payment processor.

The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They are very much scammers. I have been trying to cancel my membership for months. I will not be paying anymore to them and they can send me to collections. They have provided invalid phone numbers and give you the run around. Absolutely run from their headache.

NAC is a payment processor for Ms Deckert's membership with South Prospect Gym. She was provided correct information and written in her membership agreement on numerous occasions dating back to April of 2022. We reject the statement that we are "scammers" as her contract very clearly states the terms and is completed with her signature indicating she agrees to these terms. NAC has not provided invalid phone numbers as she has emailed our offices rather than calling the valid phone number provided on her membership agreement. Our offices responded to Ms. Deckert the same day as her most recent email on December 5, 2022 at which point in time Ms. Deckert opted to cancel her account through one of the valid methods of cancellation provided in her membership agreement. While we understand we may not meet requests outside of the allowed terms of cancellation our policy is to provide accurate information regarding the membership agreement and all sections contained within. Thank you.

When I signed up for a fitness challenge at a local gym I had no idea that it was being run through a third party, this third party which is operating a scam- I have no idea how no one has started a class action lawsuit against them yet. I sent a certified letter back in March along with a doctors note that he had advised me to stop attending because of respiratory issues related to COVID. Thought that would be it… they would not stop billing me. So I called Amex to resolve and they finally responded, with a letter threatening to take me to collections. I can’t believe cancelling a gym membership is this difficult, I wish I had known this was not being run directly through the gym it was definitely not sold to me that way. I’m going to be looking into ways to fight this company because they have no business being a business.

National Acceptance Company is a payment and billing company and not a party to the contract signed by Ms. P*******. As such, we facilitate the explanation of terms on membership agreements should a customer have any questions regarding the terms of the agreement. Ms. P******* did not contact our office until August 2 and has not provided a tracking number or receipt of the certified letter allegedly sent in March. We requested any pertinent information to allow us to investigate further but have not received anything as of the date of this response. Additionally, Ps. P******* issued this complaint the same day she first contacted our offices without the opportunity to review her situation with the contract holder. As of 8/8/22 we are in receipt of a request from the contract holder to close the account and as directed, the account has been canceled. Please contact our offices with any further questions ***** ********.

I am reading the comments on this page and they are all so similar. I singed up for a 16 week class with a company. At the end of the 16 weeks I sent in my information in a certified letter. I stopped receiving fees taken out of my account, but got a letter in the mail from NAC saying that I owe them $178. It said if I didn't pay them it would be sent to a collection service. I then called NAC telling them I had already sent in my certified letter and that I no longer received any fees. They said that because I waited over 5 days after the program ended to send in the letter I can't cancel it. They said the only way to cancel it is if you move, medical reasons, or you buy them out. They then told me I owed them $230. That is $52 more than what the letter said which doesn't make sense. This company is a scam and a joke. Do not sign any contract that deals with them. I am not paying them and if they send it to collections I am disputing it.

Horrible, thieving, company to deal with! Do not sign up with any gym that uses this joke of a billing company. They will lie, steal, and steal more. Hope they go bankrupt, and out of business. Would like to join a class action lawsuit against them as well.
