All I can say is NAC are scammers and after reading the reviews here clearly the BBB is allowing them to continue and will not do anything about it. I hope people that stated they are filing law suits, have done it.

NAC is a payment processing center contracted to process monthly transactions on behalf of our clients. NAC does not make policies on behalf of the clients we serve and are obligated to follow the contractual terms as outlined in the signed membership agreement. Please refer to your membership agreement for the terms and conditions you agreed to. NAC is in no way a scam as we are only able to inform you about the membership you signed for rather than make unauthorized adjustments to an account.

I signed up for a 16-wk program in 11/2023. I met a *** at the gym who I assumed was a staff member as they wore clothing imprinted with gym ************** I had no reason to question this party as we were in the gym discussing a program offered by the gym & did not learn until after starting the 16-wk course this *** was not employed by the gym but by ***. The *** advised this was a 16-wk ************* were required to attend at least 3 days/wk throughout the 16 wks. There was an initial cost for the 16 wk program & a monthly cost of approximately $80 a month to continue with the gym if you chose. I was advised the monthly fee would continue for 1 year from initial sign-up. I signed up 11/2023 w/ expectation membership would be completed in 11/2024 with no penalty for canceling after initial 16-wks. Due to unforeseen circumstances I moved out of state 09.01.2024. This was an unplanned ********* didn't even think about the gym until they contacted me. When I explained I was no longer in state I was advised I signed a contact requiring me to notify them via certified mail of cancellation requests along w/ 2 forms of proof. I was further advised they expect me to continue payment for 09/24 & 10/24 which I vehemently dispute. I was also advised I need to send a $50.00 cancellation fee! I don't see this on their paperwork & in fact the gym *** told me as long as I completed the 16-wk program there was no penalty for canceling prior to 11/24, a question I specifically asked I was further advised I agreed to something termed "automatic rollover" & would also need to request termination of this or payment would continue after 11/2024. My understanding of this "automatic rollover" based on meeting w/ gym *** was after 16 wks, I could remain at gym until 11/2024 if I wanted. Nothing I signed authorized any payments beyond 11/2024 & now *** threatening to send me to collections which I will adamantly fight. Mislead Scammed Horrible Customer Service BEWARE

I will never do business with any business that uses this agency. Total scam company that uses gyms and ************ studios to ******* people out of money. I was given zero paperwork regarding a contract so I couldn't cancel my contract without paying to 2 extra months. Then of course they sent my bill to a collection agency while I was out of the country for 2 months.

NAC is a support company for various gyms, fitness centers and martial arts facilities throughout the **. NAC is contractually required to follow the contracts and procedures outlined by our clients regarding their payment, cancellation and unpaid account activity. We apologize we are unable to meet your requests that fall outside of the contract you signed but aim to provide you accurate information in a professional manner. Please review your agreement for details regarding the cancellation policy and collection activity for your membership.

I'll advise anyone that has a gym membership or is even thinking about joining any exercise facility that uses this company to change their minds immediately! This company asks as though they work for the mob, And pretty much wants you to sacrifice your first child in order to try to get out of a contract with them and even then you may not be able to! You do not have to jump through hoops to get out of your contract at larger gyms and exercise facilities! It is totally ridiculous. I actually injured myself in a kickboxing class had documentation showing that I was going to have to have surgery that I had to give to my job in order to be off on short-term disability and they still did not want to accept my documentation! I had to call the owner of the kickboxing facility that I was at and have him call in order for them to finally stop saying that I owe them money. They have so many loopholes in that contract that your signing that it is ridiculous buyer beware. Do not do business with national acceptance company or any facility that does business with them!

This place is an absolute joke and I will be getting an attorney to file a lawsuit. They are charging for services NOT rendered and stated because I didnt close my account with them in their timeframe after I completed the fitness challenge, I am responsible for payment. I completed the program and they received well over the amount for the program because I forgot to cancel and now they expect me to continue to pay them. Talk about a crappy company that is only out to line their pockets.

This company needs to be investigated. There's no log in for people to put in their own information. It's 2024 and you want me to give my credit card's information over the phone? That doesn't sound right. They'll also purposely call you at wrong time of the day. Their location is on the **********. The phone calls are coming in at 4:30pm EST. Most people on the other coast are busy working and can't make personal calls until 5 pm. They'll also will LIE and claim that they don't have an email on file. However, the gyms that they're working for have our email information on file. Before you sign up to any local gym, please ask if whose doing their billing. If the gym uses this place, do not proceed to work that gym. This is not an honest company. In fact, they're not even accredited in the ***.

Can I do zero stars? Deceptive marketing!! We signed up for a 16 -week fitness program with an NAC rep, but it turns out he didn't tell us everything and now we can't get out of it. Devious. Underhanded. Predatory.

      National Acceptance Company

      Date: 05/09/2024

This is a false statement as NAC does not sign anyone up for any programs and works for gyms and fitness centers as a payment processing center. Therefore, any information you received you believe is predatory would not have come from NAC. Your agreement would only be submitted to NAC once you signed up with one of our clients for services they provide. Please refer to your agreement for terms specific to the program you signed up for. If you have questions, you may contact NAC for clarification on any items that remain unclear to you. However, stating NAC does not market billing services to the general public and therefore you would not have received any marketing materials from NAC, unless you own a gym or fitness center that has requested information on billing and software. Thank you.

It's all a big scam. First of all to cancel its too many requirements which should be an automatic red flag. They will find a reason not to cancel your membership after the 16 week challenge is up. The gym was closed a few days due to inclement weather so I wasn't able to complete my 3 days so that shouldn't count against me. I signed in for the challenge why do I need to intital it also makes no sense. They require you to send a certified letter which of course you have to pay for. Definitely not a good way to do business. Please see the email I received below:Good Morning,Please accept this email as notice that your cancellation request for the membership with the above referenced facility has been denied for the following reasons: Did not meet 16 Week Challenge Requirements Handwritten attendance missing member initials next to every visit Your next recurring payment obligation of $69.00 is due on 05/25/2024 and will become due each month thereafter until a valid cancellation request is received.

Please note NAC is a processing center providing you with the information in the membership agreement. NAC does not create the procedures or sign anyone up for a membership but only complies with the terms set for by your program. By signing up for this program, you agreed to the terms outlined and agreed to provide the completed forms in order to be eligible for a cancellation. Our client has not found your submission to meet the requirements outlined in your agreement and NAC has relayed this information to you as timely as possible. Please review your membership agreement and program guidelines for your options of cancellation.

Will never be signing up for anything through NAC ever again and I WILL be spreading the word about the predatory behavior regarding the business. It makes sense the company has a D rating on the BBB- Americans are already struggling, I paid for the 16 week program to get physically fit, now they want to charge me a whole year term because the gym owner wasn’t on top of signing information or giving his clients the amenities we paid for. I’m now in a situation where I can’t pay for mental health counseling because they’re threatening to send this issue to collections and the amount is still accruing- even though I paid for first and last month terms. It’s insane and disheartening. Never, ever, again.

Horrible! Screwed over by them and the gym owner claimed they weren't responsible. A scheme to get your money even after you complete the challenge and go through the proper channels to cancel.

      National Acceptance Company

We are sorry to see your unhappy review regarding an alleged "scheme". NAC does not "screw" anyone over. As a third party processor, we provide information and processing services to you based on the program/membership you sign up for. Your request for cancellation was submitted through the proper channels as required. You did not however meet the requirements for an early cancellation as outlined in your membership agreement. However, even after not following the requirements for cancellation, NAC received an approval to close your account as of December 20, 2023, to which your account remains closed.
