I reserved a rental car with Budget for pickup at the *******************. When I arrived at the rental car center, the Avis/Budget line was very long and expected to take 1.5 - 2 hours. After standing in line for a half-hour, I came to a sign said that Budget Members with confirmed reservations should proceed to the pickup spot in the parking garage, at which point I signed up on the app with my confirmation number. We went where we were instructed to go, and the very unpleasant women at the counter said "If you just signed up so you didn't have to stand in line, I can't help you, you need to go back downstairs to be processed." I said that the sign was in the line I was in so I followed instructions to become a member and came to the pickup spot, and she said that was "too bad." No way was I waiting in that line again, so I went to Enterprise (which had NO line, NO other rental car company did), paid only a total of $75 for my entire stay, and canceled my Budget reservation, saving me a 2 hour wait in line.Review fromAdam B

It's hard to put into words just how spectacularly this company fails to hit the ***** But I'll try. If there was one word in the dictionary that could be redefined to refer to something that immediately conjures images of infanticide and having one's fingernails removed by the nail bed, it would have to be the word Budget, when used as a proper noun. In fact, either of these two things is almost welcome when we associate this word with a company that cares so little for its customers that they knowingly lure unsuspecting would-be clients in with flat out misinformation and deception. Certainly they are aware of their lack of merit as a business to engage in such misleading tactics, as is apparent by the way they handle "customer service". It's almost as if they forgot the one thing they need to succeed as a business is customers. We aren't even a side note but are treated more like a nuisance than as the core of their business. This comes after sitting for 2 hours at the airport, transferred 5 times while trying to speak with a supervisor, and being hung up on twice by the same agent who pretended to put in a callback request that I need received, so I was unable to file my formal complaint. All this trouble was caused by the fact that I registered for their FastBreak program, which one can enroll via their website without restriction. Only after spending an hour clicking through their data mining prompts and giving all my personal information, then 2 hours dealing with surly, unhelpful "support" agents, did I finally come to learn that the program is only available by invite despite them collecting my PII and not mentioning this at all anywhere on their site when I signed up. Budget takes advantage by not being clear and honest, then avoids dealing with complaints by having agents actively undermine the process, treating customers like a problem. Clearly not accredited for good reason. Avoid at all costs.Review fromToshio F

They treated customer as a burden when the flight delayed and gave a different car which was not on the contract. The battery died twice and the horn was not working at all. I had to change 2 days agendas due to this trouble. Their response was thank you for reporting. I had similar experience before with the budget but this time I decided to report.Budget Rent-A-Car

I reserved a vehicle through a third party. Prepaid with the discount rate for bundling ticket + car rental through the airline. I expected to pay taxes, electronic toll and gas if I did not fill the tank, like I have always done through any other car rentals. At checkout, they charged me the amount I had pre-paid, so I thought. When I got home and saw the statement, they double charged me. They took the prepaid money and added a ton of BS fees to it that amounted to double of what I prepaid. It's a SCAM. I have never, ever been through this. There were no cleaning fees, no damage to vehicle. I was expecting to pay for tolls which amounted to $60, I filled the tank prior to returning the vehicle. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM BUDGET!! I do not recommend renting from them... the vehicles are nice because they're new vehicles. But their customer service is trash ??. Mostly everyone is talked to has an unnecessary attitude. The two locations I've been to with nasty attitudes is the atl airport and *************** locations. You would think I would have better customer service because this is my forth extension. I thought that they were better than enterprise but apparently not.Budget Rent-A-Car

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I prepaid in advance for the car rental. The rental said it was $45 a day and I paid $381.87 for 5 days. They added more taxes and fees at the location. Which you would think the extra ****** would be taxes and fees. When I arrived they said they were using a holding charge of $470.72 since I said I would use my own insurance. I didnt think to take pictures of video of the vehicle before hand. When I returned the rental I got charged for both the $381.87 and the $470.72. Nothing was refunded to me. The vehicle was returned with a full tank of gas and returned in the condition it was given it just needed a car wash. I called budget and filed a return for the amount I was overcharged. They said they would put it up for review. Called back to see what was going on with my review and they hing up on me multiple of times before I even got to speak to anyone about the review. Another person yelled at me over the phone and only sent me a recipe for the $470.72 and not the total bill they charged me which was $852.29. They said I returned the car a day later and I returned it on time with the reservation. Another one asked me what other representatives told me while being rude and yelling at me after. Nothing was resolved and they kept the full amount with no help of getting me a refund.Budget Rent-A-Car

21576503CA4 Ive been told I was getting a full refund and that was April 10th they told me 3-10 business days its now may 8th they told me they sent it and my banks got something too do with it well today I got my bank statement and theyre definitely stealing my money from me dont rent a car from this place if you do make sure you have the right paperwork when showing up after booking it online I was told on the phone I could use my **** debit and after booking it online I go too pick it up at 5 o clock when I arrive they told me I needed a credit card so I didnt get the car at all and they just stole my moneyBudget Rent-A-Car

Sunday May4, ************************************************************************************************ stead of their keys. I started trying to call the location at the airport in ***************, **. The phone number was constantly busy. I filed a lost and found report on Sunday evening. Monday morning I returned the rental key by overnight delivery. I began that morning trying to call the desk. Still busy. I called their customer care service 9 times on Monday. They could not reach the front desk either. They told me several times just to keep trying the Ft ***** number. Tuesday was a repeat. I finally talked with a supervisor who also tried the number. He then told me their number was out of order. He told me just to wait and they would contact me. Wed was a repeat. Wed evening I found the email address for customer service. I sent an email informing them about everything. I ask for a way to get in touch with the desk in ***************. Finally, Thursday morning I had a response from the email. However, their solution was to call the number that I had been calling for days at the airport. I will never rent from them again.Budget Rent-A-Car

I have to agree with everyone, and there seem to be only 1-stars here. There is never anyone at the *** Budget desk, you walk around acres of parking lot in all weather because Budget sent a link to get a car (FastBreak customer) looking for someone, another company finally told me the link never works and to go to ***** ********* customer but stood in line, finally got a car that stunk so bad of stale weed and smell remained for a week. Tire lights went on, every tire was a different pressure. I had to fill it on my own dime. They charged me $160 in the past for damage I never saw with no proof, and my credit card company could not fight the charge. They are a huge nightmare!!!Budget Rent-A-Car
