After prepaying for flooring and installation at Lowes by UHS, I am called on the scheduled day of service to inform me that they will show up later in the day than anticipated. They finally show up and did not have the materials, did not know what job they are supposed to be doing, and did not even speak enough English to communicate with. After multiple attempts I was finally able to contact their manager who was completely useless and did not offer a reasonable solution. I scheduled off work for this and wasted my entire day waiting around for nothing. I will be rescheduling the flooring job with another company.Late, unprofessional, useless.

Stay away from this company! They have no clue what they are doing and they do not care! You will pay a lot of money and be left with an unfinished job with stress, sleepless nights and no answers!!! We went through Lowes and even gave the company a second chance to fix our floors. Our floor is still not fixed. We are getting another company to fix our floors because we refuse to allow this company to come back to our home. The company is only good at lying and deceiving. They have no clue on professional floor install. I cannot stress enough...stay clear of this company!!!

Phase 1: Small bathroom tile job: The subcontractors Lowes sent from *** did not speak ANY English. Lowes sent us a bunch of material that there was absolutely no use for and the subcontractors took it when they left. They did not even leave us a tile or two in the event one of them broke. They did a nice job on the tile floor but they did not remove the linoleum even though we paid for them to do that. Phase 2: Wooden floors in Dining Room and Living room. My wife fell for this company after she watched their phony tear jerking promo video. We had one inspector show up and he had to come three separate times because he would not stay long enough to explain what work needed to be done in prep for this job: such as moldings, transistions and trim. His estimates were all over the place price wise each time. They refused to remove moldings before laying the floor: imagine how that would look! *** told us our floor had some inconsistencies and that I needed to lower my floor in one or two spots which I attempted to do and it cost me hours of time and a couple hundred bucks. Then the *** guy came back and after seeing that the floor had not moved much then suggested that I remove the whole floor and subfloor and replace it all so it would be level. We're talking the joists and plywood: everything: and start over!! So we called *** again and they sent out another inspector: the regional manager: he had been on the job for thee weeks w only four hrs of training. He told us that we should consider carpeting!! Then said that we should find someone else to do the job but he suggested hiring a structural engineer to see what our problem was. The engineer said there was nothing wrong with our structure or our floor!! The regional mgr then said he would check with his installers but then never got back to us. I could go on and on with the incompetence we encountered. Bottom line: we hired local guys:fabulous job and the floor was no problem to them!

I purchased carpet from Lowes in June. UHS has the exclusive contract for measuring and installs. I had the install scheduled for this past 7/15 while the house is still empty and it would be easier with no furniture to move. This was a whole house installation, living/dining room, hallway, 3 bedrooms, and a 5 step stairway. The installers came and they were kids; an 18 year old with only one year experience and a 22 year old who was on the job 2 weeks - to do a whole house install. The old carpet was torn out and I see it was 1 piece for the dining room, 1 piece for the living room, one piece for the hall and one piece for the stairs. Im watching and questioned why they are doing the living room in 3 pieces and the hallway in 3 pieces. The one hands me the phone and its his boss informing me Lowes did not order enough carpet for the stairs and I will need to order more for them to complete the job so they have to work with what they have. there are 9 total seams in my carpet. I expected one between the living and dining, 1 between the living room and hall and 1 each in the thresholds of the bedrooms. Again I questioned it and was shrugged off. I believe the installers did not use the correct rolls in the designated rooms and they ended up piecing everything together. I called Lowes and the manager was contacting her boss and UHS. I received an automated callback with a number to for my concerns. I explained the whole incident including the damage to my house (broken moulding, broken bedroom door - they splintered it and the scuffs and dings in my freshly painted walls). The best they can do is open arbitration with UHS and have them send someone to inspect the installation and damage, but as of now UHS is saying the only thing they need to do is order more carpet for the stairs. Uh, NO! The dye lots will not be the same and it may not match. Lowes says its UHSs liability and UHS is not cooperating thus far.
