Dont ever get anything from this company. They let their reps steal peoples money and refuse to call you back from corporate when you try to report it. Tons of people had hundreds of dollars stolen out of their bank accounts today by a Matco rep from east central *******, and Matco is refusing to answer the phone or return any calls to make this right. We literally cant pay our bills because of this and they wont help anybody thats been affected. The rep that did this has also done this to multiple people in the past (ran peoples cards for double payment without their knowledge or permission) and was not fired. If this company allows it to happen here, Id hate to see how many other people around the country have had the same type of experience with other reps that get away with anything and everything. Something needs to be done about this. Stop buying tools through Matco and go elsewhere, its not worth it!

Matco Tools is unable to locate a contract between Mr. **** and Matco Tools ********* Services. It is possible that he has a truck account with a local distributor. Truck accounts are contracts between an individual and a local distributor. Matco Tools Distributors are independent businessmen and businesswomen, operating their businesses as authorized distributors of Matco Tools, and are not employees or agents of Matco Tools Corporation. Therefore, Matco Tools does not have access to records of loans including the terms of the agreements and their payment history. Matco Tools contacted the local District Manager to attempt to determine who ************** distributor is. Matco Tools is unable to determine who Mr. ***** distributor with the information provided. If Mr. **** can provide a receipt or bank statement Matco can investigate this matter further. However, if Mr. **** believes that someone is accessing his account without his approval, he should file a police report.

Just found out through reading all of these negative reviews that matco reports your payment a month late after a week of being late so will be disputing all of my late payments I have mostly matco tools and this company has been the only company I have had issues with this. Needless to say I will be paying off my account and never using matco again.

****************** claim that Matco Tools reports accounts 30 days past due when they are less than a month past due is inaccurate. As all creditors do, Matco Tools reports to the ************* monthly. If a customer is past due for 4 or more weekly payments at the time of the reporting, Matco Tools reports this to the *************. Matco Tools due date is the 3rd Friday of every month. However, Matco Tools does not report to the credit reporting agencies until after the 4th Friday of the month, giving customers a week grace ******* Upon review, records show that Matco Tools reported ****************** account past due on 3 occasions August 2020, November 2020, and December 2021. ****************** account was due for 4 or more weekly payments at the time of the credit reporting. Therefore, Matco Tools reported his account as such. If **************** has evidence that this accounting is not accurate, Matco Tools is happy to review it.

I was satisfied with the service until my tool guy passed away. God bless him he was very nice and was good at his job. However every since I have been trying to reach the company about warranted products that I have and I have not had any response at all. When you call you can't speak to anyone, none of my emails have been answered and I can't even find out what driver has taken ***** (my old tool guy) place. I gave up and I have a tool with a lifetime warranty thats not functional. Its been a few years now with no luck from Matco.

Matco Tools strives to accommodate all our customers by having a distributor service every shop. Unfortunately, this is not always possible as distributors are franchisees, independent contractors and not employees of Matco Tools. This means that, unfortunately, when ************ distributor passed away, Matco Tools couldnt hire someone to take over the route. The route cannot be filled until someone purchases a franchise in that area. Matco Tools reviewed this matter with the **************** Manager, and he was unable to find record of his team speaking with ************. We apologize that ************ was unsuccessful in reaching the **************** Department. The manager advised that he escalated this matter to his team, and they will be in contact with ************ to start the warranty process. Additionally, until ************ shop is being serviced by a distributor again, he can contact the **************** Care Team at *********** *************).

I been a customer with ******************** for years. I opened credit with them and paid off my roll cart through them. I work as a auto mechanic and as you know this field is very under paid with i high turn over rate. I started out with a credit score of 680 and now became I missed a few week payments because of losing my job. They have hit my credit two different times. Cost 80 points on my credit and dropping my on time payments. Why are they allowed to hit your credit only after a few weeks. No other business does that only tool trucks. Theres no Leeway I would not mind paying a late fee to keep them from hitting my credit. It is crazy just now after 10 years I understand them. Never explained it to me. But thats what they want. Not only have you screwed my credit so far up but now I hate even being a mechanic because of your Policies to Punish the customer over a few weeks miss payments. Even know I paid it all back up to what I owe. I thought only after a month or two like most credit lines. To me they tell you its credit line but I think there Misinterpreting what that means. To me its feels and seems like a personal cash advance. I would not ever Recommend getting anything on any tool truck credit. Matco snap on or Mac. You have cost me years and years of damage to my credit only for a few weeks payments missed. This should be highly Illegal to ruin someones life over two to three missed payments. So my Livelihood is equal to at most 300 Dollars. Thank you MATCO so much for ruining my life for a box thats over priced and never will hold valve. Cant wait to see all you tool trucks go out of business.

As all creditors do, Matco Tools reports to the ************* monthly. If a customer is past due for 4 or more weekly payments at the time of the reporting, Matco Tools reports this to the *************. Mr. ********* claim that Matco Tools reports accounts 30 days past due when they are less than a month past due is inaccurate. Matco Tools reported Mr. ********* account ******************* December 2021 and June 2022. In both months, at the time of the reporting, Matco Tools records showed that Mr. ********* account was due for 5 weekly payments. This is because ******************** made payments to his distributor, and they had not been received by Matco Tools ********* Services before the reporting date. Matco Distributors are franchisees and not employees of Matco Tools. Matco Tools distributors collect payments and then remits the payments to Matco Tools on a weekly basis.******************** made a payment to his local distributor on December 31, 2021, for $140. Because of the remittance process outlined above, Matco Tools did not receive the payment until January 7, 2022. The month of December closed on December 31, 2021, and Matco Tools reported to the ************* on January 1, 2022. When Matco Tools reported to the *************, Mr. ********* account was past due 5 weekly payments since the payment of December 31, 2021, was not yet received. ******************** made a payment to his local distributor on June 30, 2022, for $279.56. Because of the remittance process outlined above, Matco Tools did not receive the payment until July 8, 2022. The month of June closed on July 1, 2022, and Matco Tools reported to the ************* on July 2, 2022. When Matco Tools reported to the *************, Mr. ********* account was past due 5 weekly payments since the payment of June 30, 2022, was not yet received. As previously stated, Matco Tools was able to confirm that the payment from December 31, 2021, and June 30, 2022, were paid to the distributor prior to the close of the month. Because of this, the 30-day marks on Mr. ********* credit report from December 2021 and June 2022 have been removed and the reporting adjusted to reflect his account was current at the end of June. ********************* should see this adjustment when Matco Tools reports again at the end of July. If ******************** does no see this reflected or if he has any questions, he can contact Matco Tools ********* Services at ************.

Thank you matco tools. I now understand the process. It would help a lot if this was explained better to them. Would keep a lot of negative feed back from being reported.

Cannot think of a more poor company. I am a technician and Matco Tools made its name and almost all of its business from serving technicians. I bought a 15,500 6s box and from the day it got delivered I have had issues with the drawers and locks. No urgency was delivered in the fix. Took 3 months for the first repair attempt and found the box is not ************. Was offered 20% off a bigger box and accepted. Upon ordering it they were trying to charge me full pop and claimed they had to make their profit and could not return the defective box. Upon contacting corporate over a month ago and still no one can help me. Basically I seem out of luck with no one to help or even attempt correcting the issue, terrible customer service. If you are thinking of doing business with them do yourself a favor and run!

**************** purchased a 6 Series, 3 Bay Toolbox with Power from his local distributor on January 17, 2022. He applied for Matco Tools credit and financed the toolbox through Matco Tools ********* Services. He paid the account in full on January 20, 2022. Records confirm that there is a history of issues with the drawer slides of Mr. ******* toolbox. Repairs have been completed on two occasions. However, nothing suggest that there was a delay in the repair of the drawer slides. Due to the history of issues with the drawer slides, the distributor previously offered to replace Mr. ******* toolbox for one of equal size for free. According to the local distributor, immediately after receiving the toolbox **************** expressed to him that he wished that he purchased a larger toolbox. For that reason, the distributor offered **************** a 20% discount towards a larger toolbox. This offer still stands, however, according to the local distributor **************** was expecting a much larger discount and was requesting a free, $7,000 upgrade. Matco Tools is unsure what else can be offered to ****************. Matco Tools has provided several reasonable options to him. If he is still experiencing issues with the drawer slides on his toolbox, these can be inspected and repaired again. The offer to replace the toolbox for one of the same size for free still stands. Alternatively, if **************** wishes to acquire a larger toolbox as he stated before, the offer of a 20% discount on a larger toolbox still stands.

Several things above are false. I would also like to note that corporate will not respond to me and last I was told weeks ago was this issue was escalated to a higher manager and I am awaiting an answer and resolution, so all it took for any kind of response was warning people not to do business with this company as they only care about profit and not customers. Videos and pictures were attatched to my final email with corporate and no response was given once lies and evidence of failure and poor customer service was proven. For starters the first repair attempt was not until mid April (have screenshots to prove) and upon repair attempts the box now functions worse and a trim piece was shattered, was told a new one would get ordered but have heard nothing, thats almost 4 months for first repair attempt, seems like that was far from a speedy repair attempt (false statement number 1). After the failed repair attempt and the further damage to the box is the first time I inquired about a larger box, still this is in April (false statement number 2). The distributor offered a 20% discount 2 weeks later. The box I purchased was $15,500, the box I was offered 20% off of was ******, that is a $4800 difference not **** (false statement number 3). 20% off of $****** is roughly $4000, therefor I was expecting a $1000 difference that I was willing to pay. When I went to order the box I was told a $3200 difference is due. When I explained the math and asked where the extra $2200 dollars came in I was told I think that seems plenty fair since I have wasted so much diesel attempting to repair your box which is absurd considering the box was faulty from the day I purchased it and was his job to repair a box that was purchased new from him. Also he stated 20% for me is only $2000 and I have to make a profit. Well if 20% is only $2000 that means he normally gets the box for $1000 and now would be getting it for $8000 (the distributor was also getting 20% off from Matco). So when I explained either way he would make a profit and he should just warranty return my box he just told me Matco would not take it back. Afterwards I proved the box was not built to square with measurements and pictures and was ignored along with the poor customer service, corporate has been provided all of the pictures and videos of all this proving everything that was said and proving the box is bad and now I cannot get any response. So no Matco has not offered me any options other than a replacement box of the same size (false statement number 4), and at this point I am not satisfied with that. Note the box is still faulty and has never been close to being repaired and is only worse and somehow everyone is acting like it is ok and it is not, very poor quality. So given I cannot even get a response shows that no one is interested In repairing the box or even speaking with me about it (false statement number 5). I asked for a refund was was denied. Again I cannot even get a response unless its through BBB apparently so as I stated before run from doing business from this company because they are not interested in helping you or providing good service. Again I have proof of all stated above so please do not respond with more lies.

Matco Tools is confused by Mr. ******* reply to our response. On June 22, 2022, **************** contacted the local distributor and asked him to order him a larger toolbox. It is Matco Tools understanding that **************** agreed to pay $3,200 and trade in his current toolbox to finance the upgraded toolbox. Mr. ******* distributor was in the process of ordering the toolbox when we received notification of Mr. ******* reply. Matco Tools would like clarification that **************** does want to move forward before the toolbox is ordered. There is no record that **************** spoke with the corporate office regarding this matter. All communication was between **************** and his local distributor and the district manager. Upon speaking with the district manger, it was clarified that **************** moved shops, therefore, the distributor and district manager had to arrange a time for them to travel to Mr. ******* new shop to service the toolbox. This could be the delay that **************** is referencing. Once the district manager inspected the toolbox and realized that there was a defect, a replacement or upgrade was offered. Matco Tools corporate office is not aware of the exact timeframe that conversations that took place. However, it was reported that the offer was made to ****************, but it was not accepted prior to June 22, 2022 If **************** wishes to further discuss the handling of this matter with the corporate office, he can contact **************** at ************. Should he still want to move forward with the offer per his communication with the distributor on June 22, 2022, he should confirm, and the toolbox will be ordered.
