I was sold a 3 year policy, and the funds were asked for up front to supposedly in getting a discounted policy. They told me the were a subsidiary of AMAZON.COM. I found much later they are not. I had several claims and they always told me, Repair is not covered. This was their favorite response. You always spoke with some Philippino rep who didnt speak English very well, and knew nothing. If you were lucky to get them to send a tech; they were some rag tag outfit with no license. By the way, AHW was not responsible for the repairs or damages tech may cause. Look for another reputable home warranty company, but not this one. Youve been warned..

Your Water Heater kaputt? Don't call Amazon Home Warranty. They don't happen to cover water heaters that store hot water. Silly me. I thought that's exactly what water heaters do.

My AC went out, they sent a tech, but AHW wouldn't pay for anything until I paid out of pocket to get a leak kit done ($250), even though the tech said I absolutely did not need that, my AC was just a little low on Freon. They also ghosted me on multiple claims, either never sending a technician and just cancelling my claim without notice, or refusing to cover even basic, inexpensive repairs. I found out later that the Attorney General of AZ sued them for posting fake 5 star reviews online, which was why I bought a policy in the first place. There's no way to view your contract online, they don't post their customer service hours so you could be on hold ALL DAY without even knowing they're closed, and they don't return phone calls or emails, even for the technicians. Just put that monthly fee in a savings account and use that to cover repairs, because you'll have to pay for them anyway.

I purchase 3 years in advance in full because sales rep told me I would never have problems in claims and service. That especially because I live in ********* and how hot it is that a call for my AC would be beneficial and if they had to go out for same problem they would possibly even exchange the whole unit. Not that I needed replacement and I have 2 AC and both would be covered but it was definitely a reason to purchase. I had a problem the first year with AC and the contractor refused to do the work unless I paid him additional money for work and when I called warranty company they said I had no choice. It was July so of course I paid. It took 1 day to get contractor out then 2 days to push me for extra money then 2 days for part because it after market part because warranty company doesnt pay for genuine parts so then wiring was different. The reason for extra charge. So once part came in it took him 2 minutes to replace and refused to show me part that he took out. Now this year I had another problem with different unit and 1st day contractor assigned said he no longer works for warranty company. So I had to wait for another. When I called the next day she said they have to find contractor. Its been 2 business days with nothing and 3rd day Ive been placed on hold forever and when he answered took My information and placed on hold to investigate to never come back. When he did he hung up. Accidentally I assumed but they didnt call back yet he took info so he knows who he was on phone with. Last year I called about water heater and they didnt cover it so I replaced it myself. My refrigerator was leaking and its not covered they didnt fix that I took care of it as well. Sales rep even told me to make sure to use refrigerator claim because they even fix ice makers that would basically pay for itself. I didnt try to take advantage of them. When sales call to renew and I told them my problem they hung up on me yet honestly I used kind voice thinking maybe???

NEVER USE THIS Company, they always deny claims most of the time even before a technician is sent out. They come up with all kinds of ridiculous reason claim is not covered. Call center is awful and you can never escalate a call with anyone. They take your money and deny 10 claims so far.

Amazon home warranty has been overcharging me for a year. And never warranted my claims. They actually gave me 25% of a claim. Now Im paying for a warranty that I dont even own the home. Dont do it. Save your money and pay for your cost out of pocket or youll be paying twice!
