      This is the worst business I’ve ever dealt with. My unit door broke and would not open. I was unable to get my items out of my unit. My rent kept increasing even though I couldn’t get access to the unit. I got one excuse after another as to why it was taking so long to have the door repaired. I could no longer afford to keep paying for a unit that I could not access and my items ended being auctioned off because I couldn’t get anyone to have the door fixed. (The property manager told me that he could open the door using a pitchfork to hold the door open. He suggested that I do the same! What a joke). Now I am being harassed by a debt collector. This has been a nightmare. Everything I owned is now gone, furniture, lawn equipment, sentimental items, clothing, dishes, etc. The owner of Compass Self Storage is greedy and could care less about his customers.

      Horrible and these people are stealing from people. Why does Compass Storage keep going up on the unit? I’m not receiving notice of this . In one year I’ve seen three price increase

      Like others have said, this company is horrible. I scheduled a move out, and "cancel auto renew", removed my stuff and lock and they're still trying to charge me. They raised the price about 15% every few months and the units are trashy with peeling weatherstripping and soffit, etc. It's really bad. The location I was at also didn't even have a secured lot. The rear gate was open 100% of the time. Thankfully i used an isolated card for this but I would advise no one use them, and if you do DO NOT use your main banking information. They're predatory and unprofessional.

      Paying for a CLIMATE CONTROLLED unit but apparently not getting it and the office reps just CONSISTENTLY LIE about it being heated, saying the thermostat is set to a " certain temperature" even though it most certainly isnt. They then deny and deny that there is an issue and laugh at my face saying that just isn't possible. I store sensitive electronics and speakers which are now ruined due to them being frozen because they aren't heating my climate controlled unit at all. Thermometer in my unit regularly tells me it's been 20-30°for all night. It's crazy how hard they try to deny what you say even with proof. Then there is the gate situation. THEY ARE LEAVING THE GATE OPEN ALL DAY AND NIGHT CONSISTENTLY. Staff is also NOSEY, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and got ATTITUDE from hell thinking they can run me off from sitting in my car for only 20 minutes not bothering anyone INFRONT OF MY UNIT THAT I PAY FOR. Edit Update: after admitting they know that the gates always open, and won't be a problem anymore, the next morning? Same thing. Wide open. After denying the heats ever been off, NOW THIS MORNING, December 31st, ITS FINALLY ON. ANYONE WHO HAS HAD A CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNIT MAY WANT TO BRING THAT UP AND GET A REFUND AND INSURANCE TO FIX ANYTHING THAT YOU NEED TO SINCE WE HAVE PROOF NOVEMBER 16- DECEMBER 30 CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNITS AT THE BOTTOM BUILDING HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY UNCONTROLLED. Update: Got this 2 days after making this review. Guess they also like to retaliate when they get told their doing something wrong and need to fix it.

      MULTIPLE THEFTS AT PROVIDENCE, RI LOCATION. No response or communication from onsite, district or corporate personnel. Onsite Management never notified Victims of known thefts. Evasive and Defensive when information is requested. Police report that Staff claims inoperable cameras during Thefts. What are they Hiding?

      1 of my storage sheds is going up from $203 yo $240 a month. This is corporate rape. I managed a Pawn Shop for 15 years. I never would have treated my loyal paying customers the way this company eviscerate’s it fellow human beings.

      I rented a 10x15 unit in Ocala Florida. The people on site are great. That nis the only thing good about Compass Storage. I rented the unit in 2018. Everything was fine for the first 6 months. Then in started getting increases in rent, every couple months. The last increase was to $269.00. Fortunately, I moved out before that had to be paid. The rent was deducted automatically from my debit account, and I was never informed when they started doing that nor was I given the option for this to take place. The Unit online is listed for $135.00 a month. As I said the only good thing is the people that work there, and they have no control over rent rate. I would not recommend for anyone to rent there. I had used Public Storage in the past and never had this problem. My mistake and I chose Compass for closeness at the time. ACS

      I rented a unit in Fairburn GA and I was a month behind and going into 2nd month. I spoke with Charles the manager and I was told that If I could pay $154 by EOB so I called to pay and the the lady told me she could not take my payment that I had to speak with Charles. After calling 13 times cause no one never answers the phone. I finally got a call back and now I am told I have to pay 365.00 to get my storage back which is bs. this scamming company is horrible to deal with. They lie and go up on rent without notice. I want to file a formal complaint against this company; I regret dealing with this company and the unprofessional ppl that work there. Horrible customer service. This is the worst business ever in history. I asked for Corporate Office number and they refused to give it to me. I call other locations and could not get the number and the ahole said just pay your rent and we wont have this problem. such a anal but wipe. RIP OFF RIP OFF to sell your property.
