This company does not give any warning if they want more information on a medical bill claim before suspending your hra/fsa benefit card. Your account when logged in does not give any information and states you have no accounts if you have a hra or fsa administered by paychex. There is no customer service email and calling a customer service line is only available during certain times. This company is very hard to deal with and should be avoided if you are looking for a benefits administrator for your company's fsa or hra.

Very unprofessional service. I was put in touch with a sales representative who was very responsive via phone and email until she received sensitive identification and financial information from myself and another employee. On a Friday, I was told she would reach out Monday. I did not hear from her on Monday, so I left an email Tuesday asking for an update, I was ignored. I left a voice-mail Wednesday and was also ignored. I called customer service Wednesday afternoon and explained that my sales rep had received my financial information and had then ghosted me for 3 days and counting, and that I was concerned I may need to change my bank account now. Customer service was able to speak with her and said she would reach out. She left a voice mail on Thursday morning saying that Paychex was not willing to provide services to us. Very sketchy situation all the way around that feels incredibly scammy and unprofessional. They should certainly be finding out whether they will provide services to an account or not before requesting such sensitive information.

Our company and our employees have been locked out of our 401K for a month. We have a reference number with assurance that the situation would be resolved by the next day....that was around July 6th. Holding for a representative us usually at least 45 minutes. We are very concerned and need to access our account immediately.

I am employed by a firm that uses Paychex. I had to take many courses provided by the Paychex Learning service. I completed all the courses required by my employer but did not find a way to indicate "completed" on one of the courses. I have asked MANY TIMES for this issue to be addressed. I have sent emails, have tried to use the online chat feature (the person joining chat keep just leaving the chat without answering any questions). I feel my employer is paying for substandard service from this company.

Paychex is obviously suffering from the same staffing issues as many other businesses since the great resignation. Sales cannot provide a clean quote to add on services: Pages are missing and/or pricing not included. Implementation never makes contact to set up the new service. Billing invoices an amount that does not match the quote ($900 instead of $300) even though the service has never been implemented. There is no way to contact someone higher up that may be able to cut through the incompetency. The bright spot is that the payroll piece itself runs smoothly and the reps we have worked with over many years have always gone above and beyond. Stick with Paychex if you only need payroll service. The pain of attempting to add additional services is not worth the headache.

I was garnished when I shouldn't have been. $3,500 gone. I took the creditor to court. I won. My garnished wages are supposed to be returned. It's been a month now and Paychex has still failed to return my money. I've called, they do nothing mg but say "gonna take longer...." After being told first 7-10 business days. Then told 30 days. Now what? I have 4 kids, a disabled husband and I'm pregnant. We need our ******* money and this is beyond ****** up.

I have been a Paychex customer since 2021. I have a small Nursing Service and I never get in touch with my representative and never get a call back from anyone. I will be leaving paychex. This is not the only business I help run and I have never felt so small then since I have been with paychex.

The hallmark of Paychex is clerical incompetence. The worst fault that an HR company can have! I am blown away by the idiotic decisions that they make, and that cost me money. I’m 2017, I got so frustrated with their disorganization that I quit them altogether and rolled our IRA funds over to a new vendor. Only they didn’t transmit everything. They kept an interest payment and didn’t bother to tell anyone that the account still was active — actually they told us it was closed! — then issued the check to a defunct address (no emails, no phone calls!). When that check was never cashed — it was never received — they sent the account to an even sleezier company called PBI, who “re-issued” the check without proper accounting paperwork after deducting an ridiculous fee (5% of the account!). Neither company resolved it, and Paychex couldn’t even submit the correct paperwork Bc they don’t release paperwork for accounts that they close (which happened in 2021). Basically I paid them for their clerical error.
