0/10000 Do NOT recommend this service unless you READ every single sentence in that contract AND you check your windshield every single time you drive. The coating provides very little protection for damages which is what we got it for. For the other benefits we never got to see them because it cracked in the first few months of owning the brand new car. If you submit a claim just say what they require in the guidelines of the contract and nothing more. Report claim within 72 hours, make sure the description of the claim is as follows, rock chipped windshield while driving in highway. Add nothing more because they will try to not honor their end of the deal. Situation: We bought a brand new car about 3 months ago out of state from a ***** dealer. The crystal fusion was sold as an unlimited windshield coverage, against rock chips and cracks. When the time came to get a repair done we told the (in state) ***** dealer what we needed done and they had never heard of crystal fusion. We were then instructed to submit a claim and all the while we were navigating this process, the 72 hour window had been surpassed to submit a claim. Now for anyone who owns a newer ***** we all know the Blis system covers a large part of the windshield and if damage occurs there it will be nearly impossible to notice. That is where we were hit and didnt see it until the crack had spread. We reported it immediately to the dealer and then were told that the third party is who takes care of that will need the claim submitted. Mind you our car sits in a garage and is only driven on weekends so the crack could have been there awhile and gone unnoticed. So in the end we will be out of over $1,200 for a coverage/protection that did not work and in top of that we will have to buy a new windshield from ***** for over $1,200. Response:If you provide a coating that is sold to protect a windshield for 5 years or so, then why would you need to add constraints? i.e. 72 hour ruleCrystal Fusion Technologies, Inc.

The Crystal Fusion coating has many protection benefits when applied to a windshield. The surface becomes ultra-hydrophobic and helps to reduce glare as well. All warranties have terms and conditions which must be adhered to. Crystal Fusion is no different. The only 2 conditions are as the customer mentioned. Report the claim within 72 hours of the damage occurring and the vehicle must be "in motion" while the damage occurred. These conditions are clearly marked in 2 area's on the warranty. The remainder of the term of this warranty is still valid and future claims may be called in under the terms and conditions.Review fromTanya M

I have had Crystal Fusion on 2 of my vehicles in the last 10 years. I had a large chip in my windshield in Feb of 24. I emailed the day it happened and was told I needed to contact Safeguard. I did and never received a response. My dealership was driving my vehicle a week later and it was involved in a hit and run. Long story short, they had my vehicle for almost 3 months. I then contacted Safeguard about the chip and was told it was too long past the time to fix it. I told them the story and how I did contact them. There was a lot of run around and I was told a supervisor would start my claim. I still have yet to hear from someone and the chip is still there. I will never use them again.Review fromSarah W

Terrible, do not purchase. I bought this insurance through the dealership when I bought my brand new vehicle. Many small rocks hit my windshield but the crack did not appear until we got back to our vehicle after having lunch. When I filed a complaint, I made sure to say it had happened within 48 hours or theyd deny my claim (per my dealerships advice). What I wish I wouldve know was to lie and say I say the crack immediately appear once the rock hit my windshield. Because I said I didnt notice it until an hour later, they denied my claim- after following up many times, they said there was nothing I could do and because it was a warranty package, I couldnt cancel either. Would not recommend and if you do purchase for some reason, make sure you read all of the fine print in the warranty guidelines before filing a claim online. Incredibly frustrated that I now have to file a claim through my insurance when I pay for coverage through crystal fusion to cover damage for exactly what happened to my vehicle.Crystal Fusion Technologies, Inc.

Crystal Fusion is a product warranty and not insurance. There are terms and conditions on the warranty as is on any warranty that is included with a product. All of our warranties have been vetted and approved by each Secretary of State and ********** of ********* in every state where offered. While we understand it may be frustrating when a claim is denied, we do follow the terms and conditions exactly as the warranty states.Review fromRob M

I have just been denied a claim because its been over 72 hours. The car dealer I bought the car from would not handle it, the company on the information I received sent me to a deferent company. Safe Guard I was referred to couldnt find me in there company. Called back the next day with more information and spoke to a person I had a lot I trouble understanding. She submitted the date I gave her and said it was denied. She then said she tried to change the date and it was still refused. She tried on her own submitting a faults claim and it would let her. This is a company that will take your money up front but will not pay out for cracked windshields. Stay away from!!Crystal Fusion Technologies, Inc.

You have to threaten legal action for them to do anything. This is a joke of a company and I share with everyone purchasing a new vehicle at my dealership to NEVER go with CFT. I hope they go bankrupt. Devious and conniving. I dare someone to respond to this post. I would love to further share my experience.Crystal Fusion Technologies, Inc.

We bought into Crystal Fusion when we purchased our new car. We like the dealer and have worked with them for several years so when they pitched it to us we bought in. We got our first crack on our first road trip. Unfortunately we did not read the fine print. You must report your windshield damage in 72 hours. Claim denied! Now we face paying for an expensive windshield, getting cameras recalibrated and a new coating of Crystal Fusion, which also must be applied within 72 hours of the new windshield being installed. I have voiced my displeasure to our dealer. What a scam!!! It is on us as we did not read the pages of fine print to know the restrictions they place on allowing a claim to proceed. I have a feeling that every claim that is attempted they have a loophole to not pay.Review fromDarks F

This is a scam - when you need a windshield repair that has their product, they require you to call, get paperwork, never call back, give you the runaround. For a $59 repair charge. I'm not shocked that this service is a scam, but I am quite shocked that *********** in ***********, ******* encourages and upsells this service to customers. It's not a good look for an otherwise reputable dealership.Crystal Fusion Technologies, Inc.

Had a large chip and crack in my windshield. Filed a claim with Crystal fusion. They sent me to a windshield repair shop that injected the windshield. The damage is clear still quite visible and the shop said they dont usually repair cracks that big I contacted Crystal fusion and I just get no reply. I dont reply to my emails or my calls.Crystal Fusion Technologies, Inc.

Crystal Fusion's warranty is a repair/replacement policy. If the damage is repairable, it will be repaired with the latest technology available, unless it is in direct sight of the driver's vision. The integrity of the windshield will always remain intact. If this repair should fail at any time, the windshield would then be replaced at no charge to the customer. The last communication we received from the customer was on 9/7/2023. He was not satisfied with the repair. We do not have any other records showing any attempt to contact us afterward. All correspondence with the customer has been via email since the initial claim was started.Review fromD. D. W.

Crystal Fusion deliberately maintains ultra-rigid rules about when and how claims must be files, presumably in hopes that they can deny as much service as possible. I have had the same experience as so many other reviewers here. I forgot that I needed to file a claim within 72 hours. Once I contacted the dealership, they sent me a link to file a claim, but by then it was too late anyway. It would be one thing if Crystal Fusion assessed some kind of 'late fee', or had some rule that they would only cover, say 75% or 80% of the repair if the clam wasn't filed within their strict guidelines. But to deny ALL coverage OUTRIGHT because of a mistake in filing SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! I guess it's not illegal, so Crystal Fusion can pat themselves on the back for coming up with a "great" (read as terrible) way to cheat their customers without breaking any laws. I'd give them zero stars if I could. They deserve negative stars.Crystal Fusion Technologies, Inc.

Crystal Fusion must adhere to the terms and conditions of the warranty that have been approved in each state. We do understand, a denied claim may be cause for dissatisfaction or anger. However, we process thousands of claims monthly for customers where the terms and conditions are followed and they are completely satisfied. In this particular case, ************ began using very profane language and became verbally abusive to ***************, the claims ***. However, the *** still remained professional and explained the processes to ************.D. D. W.

You "must adhere to the terms and conditions...that have been approved in each state"? So if the state gives you the green light to rip people off, you take no responsibility. I completely understand that you found a nifty way to legally rip of your customers. My heartiest congratulations on staying on the right side of the law.I didn't use "profane language" or become "verbally abusive". I became verbally HONEST and called your refusal to pay for my windshield replacement, "BS", which is what it was. Maybe you need to train your customer service reps to not be such snowflakes and to realize that when people are mad (and as you pointed out, rightfully so) at your company, they are mad at your company and not at the representative dealing with the customer. Taking things personally is literally the worst response a service rep can have. Don't blame me if they got their feelings hurt by me calling out your company's shortcomings. As a side note: My dealership eventually did sort things out with Crystal Fusion so I did not have to pay after the fact. I give my dealership full credit for that though since never once was there ever even a hint of potential flexibility on the part of Crystal Fusion when I dealt with them. I don't know if the dealership ended up eating the cost, or if Crystal Fusion paid any of it. But I can imagine that perhaps Crystal Fusion found some compromise with the dealership because they don't want to alienate dealerships which hawk their service plans.
