Chris and Lisa were the techs that came today for annual maintenance on my 10 year old AC unit. I have called on them repeatedly in recent years for AC and furnace maintenance and plumbing tasks. They are always very thorough, providing understandable explanations and answering all questions and committing to follow up if needed. My AC had a rusty evaporation pan today and was low on refrigerant. They took photos of the rusty pan as I lost the ability to go downstairs to the cellar and they did not want me to have any doubts. But they said the supplier for the pan was located in Syracuse so they would contact him for the estimate and include other info I requested in a written reply. But they were able to add refrigerant to get my unit temporarily normal again at about a third of the cost of testing/fixing the leak.

The technician quoted a price for a water heater expansion tank replacement that was over 3 times the retail price for the tank. Very unethical to try to take advantage of people like that! We declined the service and had the tank replaced by a reputable and honest plumbing service company.John Piccirilli Plumbing and Heating

Mr. ****, We understand that the unexpected expense of your repair/replacement was not in your budget. That is why we always give pricing before any service is performed. Any time after the price is given and before the service is performed and a contract agreement is signed the client has the right to refuse/decline service. As you did decline. Our prices again as stated are set as a straightforward system including all material/parts and labor. Very professional technician as well as knowledgeable. They explained the process the entire time. Even cleaned up after (it looked better than when they arrived). Very impressed and will definitely hire again if the need should arise. Money well spent.John Piccirilli Plumbing and Heating

I liked the company very much. My only complaint was the cost. They are very expensive but they do a good job. They were the first company that I called and when they quoted me the price, I wasn't happy with that, but I am not one to shop around so I agreed. Their workers were pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. I probably would hire them again but I would have to think hard about it because of the price. *****John Piccirilli Plumbing and Heating
