      I was a loyal customer with Grande for over 15 years. Then Astound took over. The worst service and customer service ever. I will be finding another ISP because everyday I lose connection at lease 4 times a day. It interferes with my work and my home life. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

      I've never done business with RCN because I live in ** where they don't even offer service.Yet they somehow have my bank info and have charged me $11.19 not once but twice today yet when I contact them they say they have no way of knowing why they are posting charges against my account.I've had to cancel my card to prevent anymore charges and will have to wait till a new one comes or drive 40 miles to get another.I'll get my money back but if there is any other type of restitution due to me or criminal charges that can be filed then they most certainly will be.The money is on the way so whoever is responsible can get ready.You'll get what's owed to you.Their custeromer service is useless and claim they have no way of tracking what charges they post Definitely not a business I'd give my bank info to.So everyone keep an eye out for a charge that says miscellaneous withdraw its RCN helping themselves to your money

      I have been a customer with Wave ********************** for a few years and they were bought by Astound Broadband. They are a fraud. I have been complaining for months about my terrible internet service and they have sent techs out 4 times but it is never fixed. I doubled my bill to upgrade to their highest service and Im getting dropped still. I work from home and Im getting dropped throughout the day, my movies are interrupted constantly, and there arent much choices for internet where I live. Ill be looking for anyway I can get rid of their service and give my business to a company that provides what I pay for. Astound is ripping people off. They sure want to get paid but they struggle to provide stable service for even one day.

      Been a loyal customer for 3 years always paid on time. They raised my bill....why. ***** at the call center told me....after each year you go into different levels. 1st 2nd, 3rd....and with these level changes your bill goes up! Bad business! You think a company would want to take care of their long time customers not penalize them for paying their bill on time. I will be leaving.

      Hello and good morning my name is ***************************** . I have been with Wow for 16yrs. We had a mutual and loyal member understanding. They knew that I was legally blind and that I do not watch TV, I listen to TV which means I only listen to basic stations. Wow was bought out by astound a few months back. but did not Honor the Loyal member promotions that WOW cable gave. This company just want to rip you off. They are forcing their customers to have to go digital they're forcing their customers to buy boxes party $10+tax they're forcing their customers to switch over to Internet service with them and they're not giving any break, deals promotions or honors any discount Wow did with their customers . I am so upset. I am not happy. I wish Wow still Exsit ??

      Our high speed internet had slowly gotten worse once Astound took over until it was entirely unusable. We contacted RCN to troubleshoot, and when they couldnt solve our problems online, they set up an appointment. When they arrived, they switched wires outside our house (we watched them and took pictures) then quickly came in, fiddled with one cable, told us it was loose and that was the problem. We actively disagreed, and the technician told us we shouldnt be charged, so just call in if we were. Of course, the **** came in stating the issue was inside our house so there was a full charge. One hour on the phone later, during which they claimed to have no records of our extensive time online troubleshooting the issue or the record from the technician, they minimally reduced a charge that should have been free since we have full documentation of the changes. BEWARE: They are con artists. They literally use the same tactics as grifters to do business. They should be investigated and charged for fraud. Do not give this company any money.

      WOW was not that great of a cable service, but Astound is far worse! Every since Astound has taken over the cable/internet service, my service goes in and out all day long. Most times, I can't even thoroughly watch a tv program until the end without receiving a message stating "no cable service". I've called customer service several times regarding these issues, and finally received an appointment to come out and service the equipment. My first appointment was cancelled by the company, and they tried telling me that I had actually cancelled it myself. That was a total lie. When I demanded another appointment for the same day, I was initially told no other appointments were available for that day. I told them that was a huge inconvenience for me, and was then told that I would be on a "all-day" appointment schedule, which means the technician could come at any time. The technician finally arrived after 2pm, and upon arrival, he seemed very "rushed" and at times, I felt he was very agitated. He was not able to thoroughly resolve the cable issues, and eventually left. I informed customer service that my issues were still not resolved. I was then informed by customer service that my "WOW" equipment was no longer compatible, and that I would need to update all equipment.....of course at an additional cost to me!!! It is my opinion that Astound should have updated all equipment that was needed in order for cable service to continue for customers without having the cost deferred to the customer. I never wanted to be an ******************** customer. WOW no longer ******************** my neighborhood and customers were automatically transferred over to Astound. This is a huge inconvenience, and I need my cable service issues resolved immediately!!

      The reason why this company is called Astound is because of its astoundingly horrible service.Im writing this review on behalf of a friend who has been a Wow/RCN/Astound customer for years. His phone, **********************, and ***************************************** were abruptly disconnected last week without notice, citing old hardware as the reason, despite the fact everything seemed to be working properly up to that moment. He wasnt home when a service person came to resolve the issue, and was then told the next time a person could come out is over three weeks away! So he is expected to be without phone/cable/internet for another three weeks? There must be one person in a van expected to service all Astound customers in the ******* area.My friend is an elderly gentleman experiencing memory issues and were trying to give him a few more comfortable months living in his home of 40+ years before transitioning him to an assisted care facility. He cant be tasked with remembering a new phone number. Were trying to transfer his phone service to another provider, but his phone must first be reactivated by Astound before his number can be transferred to another provider. And of course Astound wont reactivate the line because why would they want to lose a customer?******************** is a soulless and clueless company, lacking in both heart and brains. Other phone/cable companies also get a bad rap, but theyre at least large and agile enough to handle customer concerns and make service calls within 24 hours. I expect there will be a bot response to this review with pre-packaged company jargon about how they dont want to lose a customer and to contact for further help, but I have little hope this situation will be resolved quickly. Save yourself the agony of dealing with Astound and just go with another phone/cable provider.

      RCN has gotten really bad, horrible customer service. Not blaming the employees, blaming the company. My cable and internet went down and RCN cant give me an appointment for a week. Time to switch companies.

      Reps from RCN came to Somerville saying RCN laid down first likes and offered us a great deal. The service is really bad. I have to restart my router at minimum weekly because Cable, ****** and wi-fi just stops working. I regret switching companies. I'd rather pay more for a great experience. Definitely seriously considering going back to Xfinity very soon. Savings arr great but not when the experience is awful.
