This company operates unethically, hiding behind its subsidiaries to exploit customers. As a HISET test taker, I was assured that I could begin the exam process in one state and transfer my scores to another state upon relocating. After successfully passing three out of the five required subjects and moving to a new state, I encountered an unacceptable issue. ***, a subsidiary overseeing the exam, is now refusing to transfer my scores to the new jurisdiction unless I pay additional fees by taking another test in my new state. This is despite the fact that Ive completed all the required subjects successfully and they are fully aware of it. Their actions amount to nothing less than legal extortion.

If ETS is so negligent and unresponsive regarding its retirees, many of whom have devoted years to the organization, how could it be serving its test takers and the educational community? How does such a disreputable organization still qualify as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity? I notice that it is rated "F" by the BBB with a customer review rating of 1.09 out of 5. Given that customers cannot rate below 1, this is about as low as it can possibly go. Apparently, ETS has outsourced its so-called "Retiree Service Center" overseas. I have been calling this totally unresponsive unit for 6 weeks as its contractor, another disreputable entity named Via Benefits of Draper, ****, refuses to process two different medical reimbursement payments while the payments have been due, one for as long as 5 weeks. Both the so-called "ETS Retiree Service Center" and its contractor have been completely unwilling to resolve the situation, leading me to believe that ETS never funded the reimbursement amounts to its contractor in the first place. The "resolutions officer" of Via Benefits went so far as to inform me that the payment processing is backed up and that he could not even estimate when the reimbursement payments would be processed. What kind of outfit is this? After numerous calls to ETS, all that I am given is empty promises of resolution with no indication of any serious action on its part. I think that DOGE or the **** perhaps both, needs to be notified about ETS's deplorable service record to all parties, including test takers, the educational community, and its devoted retirees. Clearly, ETS is not providing effective services to the public, therefore its federal tax-exempt status needs to be rescinded immediately.

using PSI online, BEFORE my test begins, I was reading the instructions "don't talk outloud or to yourself" before I even got to that line, I got 2 warnings.. midway through the test, I muttered "damn" essentially.. bearly breathable, I got kicked out. These people are scam artists at best. I don't know which ETS location was sponsoring that PSI exam, wow. ******* 7:2 For you will be judged by the same standard with which you judge others.

As an educator that has to use this service I find that this company is gig dishonest. They are unethical. During my studies to take and pass needed exams this company has been unhelpful and only wanted to charge more money for everything. The company kicked me out of an exam at the last 15 minutes saying that there was a security issue although I had run tests before the exam and so did the *******. The ******* watched the entire exam and I did not move. You are not allowed to use the restroom or take a break. I had to pay again to take this exam. This has been happening in mass amounts as per my research. There was no list to do anything more than what I did before the exam. When speaking with this highly unethical company they claim that they were helping. The only thing they were helping with is making themselves more money.

I needed to take the educational leadership praxis exam. They claimed my names didn't match even when my SS numbers matched as well as all other relevant items. The ******* told me on the line I would not be able to test and that I had lost the $140. What a scam! I needed the test sent to my graduate program who could have verified and passed my score along t ok the state where I already hold a teaching certificate. Sadly this is the only company who offers this exam and they are impossible to contact since they are located in *****. My state needs to find an alternative.

This company is a scam! It's a shame that states use this for educators to get their licensures. It's beyond expensive the test questions are ridiculous, and they time spent to wait on results is too long. And by the number of negative reviews, it's a wonder why this company is open. But they are making a profit so there's no accountability. Very sad to be forced to use this company after spending so much on tuition. What a way for people to begin their career. Being forced to use a company that does not give any feedback and charges so much for an online test you can take at home. Someone needs to do better!

First time I ordered the test my id was expired but they wouldn't accept any other id I had. I emailed and spoke with them and they still would not refund me anything so I lost 140 $. the second time I scheduled a test (5354) after I paid and went through the whole scheduling process, it then said my scores would not be accepted to contact costumer service. When I did they said I needed test(5355) so this was literally 5 minutes after I scheduled it they said sure we cancel it with 50% refund. I said no that's not fair when I just scheduled it and it was their website that said my school wouldn't accept the scores. If it would have alerted me BEFORE I paid the money this would have never happened. I would have changed the code and would have been fine. That is not right nor fair. That's a way to s**** people out of money. Of all the people to s**** out of money.. a college student with dependents? I fought with them and still only got 50% of my money back this time and 0% the first time. I can't pass my class or keep my job without this test. They should not list inaccurate things on their website like state requirements if they don't follow them. They should refund money if the person literally is turning around and placing an order for a test after they cancel it. They should not tell you that your school or state won't accept those scores AFTER you pay that's messed up and all of this could have been prevented.

Was in the middle of my Praxis exam with 10 minutes left and it popped up saying I was being exited from my exam and my exam was immediately terminated! I was unable to get back into my exam, I clicked on the link provided in my email and it just said my exam was terminated. In the instructions it clearly states you have 15 minutes to get back into your exam before it's terminated and my exam was immediately terminated with no explanation. The fact that I didn't even have a chance is UNACCEPTABLE! I had to wait for the ******* report for 5 days! All that they could tell me was sorry you experienced technical difficulties and here is a voucher! I received no explanation of what happened during my exam. This was NOT on my end!!! I have to now wait 28 days to take the exam, which puts me behind schedule for getting my pre clinical hours done with my college. I will end up having to pay for another semester due to this issue with the proctoring system they are running! So unprofessional and unacceptable. To receive no clarification on what EXACTLY happened during my test is so frustrating. Their system clearly is failing! I was told I could get the 28 days waived and they transferred me to someone who could waive it, and then they told me they couldn't!! I was lied to. Very poor service!

Horrible customer ********************** and outrageous fees. It ***** because there aren't many options to take the GRE. They obviously don't care about their BBB rating either.

Truly deserve legal action against them, and 0 stars if it were possible. I took the praxis Core Combined assessment for educators (5752) with the three subtests in reading/math/writing. I took the assessment at home and had a virtual *******. During my assessment the ******* said I could verbally request breaks between assessments and I could get permission for an unscheduled break during the test to use the bathroom as needed. However between each test I verbally requested breaks MULTIPLE times and the ******* never answered me to give me permission and ignored me the whole time. I desperately needed water and the bathroom during the whole test but feared I could not take my break because I did not get permission from the ******* and did not want my test to be invalidated. I pushed through the test as long as I possibly could (4 hours) however once I got toward the end of the writing portion to complete the essays I began getting tunnel vision, dizzy, and sick like I would pass out due to not receiving the breaks I should have received to maintain my health and basic human needs. Because of this I had to finish the test without getting the chance to write my essays (with still an hour left on my assessment), as I feared I would lose consciousness. I then reached out to customer ********************** on the phone and they directed me to send an email because there was nothing they could do on the phone. I sent the email with all information as they requested and received a horrible response that they would not do anything to rectify the situation. This was incredibly unprofessionally handled as all I really needed was to be able to re-take the writing subtest (without waiting the 28 days) because I was forced to not finish due to the ******* not allowing my human rights/needs. The customer ********************** refused to help and allow me to retake the assessment before this wait time. This company should be sued for their behavior and treatment violating test takers civil rights.
