My 401k ******* that I had with my employer for 16 years was transferred several times during my employment to different companies, finally, in 2020 Prudential which is now Prudential/Empower took over and has been managing the employees retirement *******s in 2020. Prudential merged with Empower in 2021. I rolled over my 401k to an IRA ******* in February 21, 2023 the fee was a 2% for the roll over and they arbitrarily charged me an additional fee of $ **** without my approval, I called customer service several times and they email me reading materials instead about the company.? They don't have a clue nor an answer....everyone seems to be confused. I have requested to speak with the representative from corporate office but have yet to receive a call.

Left my former employer beginning of October and still have yet to receive my 401(k) funds. All required documents have already been submitted and Prudential (also know now as Empower) it's still refusing to release the funds and actually has the audacity to blame my former employer because they themselves are dragging their feet. First the Prudential employees were saying that the latest would be November 16th when I would be able to submit a request for my funds, and now they're telling me it's going to be December before I can.

Prudential does not deserve 1 star, but I have to click on the star tab. I had an absolutely terrible customer service experience regarding re-issuing my 401k check because I moved. However, Prudential did not have my updated address and the check returned to Prudential. I received an email to contact Prudential which I did to provide updated address on 6/28/2022. I was advised that I would receive my check in **** business days. I've called Prudential several times since 6/28/2022, but everytime I reach out, I'm being told something different by customer service advocates and supervisors. I was advised that Prudential will expedite my case and send my check by *** so that i will receive it sooner. However, when i called today, I was advised that it was sent out by regular mail. It shouldn't take nearly a month to receive my 401k check. Absolute terrible customer service and incompetence workers.
