We called LeafGuard about gutters. Horrible experience!! The guy that came out would not give us an estimate. He just kept saying , “Don’t you think it is the best choice”. This is after an hour sales pitch about how bad the other gutters are for your home. My husband and I repeatedly ask for an estimate after about five times. He said, “Sorry I failed you”. Then called his boss and told him he was leaving as he had failed us! I said loudly while he was on the phone. We just need an estimate to look at before making any decision. I called and told the company how we were treated. They said they would email the estimate ASAP which they said would be over $14,000. This was over two weeks ago and still no email with estimate.

Leafguard installed a new gutter system on the entire house. When the crew arrived we covered what was to be done. We were replacing hail-damaged gutter helmets and I was told the old s**** holes would be filled with silicon. The response was, "We don't do that". I refused to sign the work authorization. The lead installer made a call and I was then informed they would fill the holes. I later learned from an insurance adjuster and roofer that filling holes with silicone wasn't a long-term solution. We ended up replacing the questionable shingles. During the installation rotted trim boards were found and rotted siding exposed. I understood that any damaged facia or trim would be repaired or replaced. I was then informed that the contract covers up to 10 feet of trim and facia and the areas in question were not covered. When I asked if they would provide recommendations on who could make the repairs they had none. I was left to find a solution. This couldn't be the first time they encountered rotten trim under an old gutter. No concern, it's your problem. Before beginning installation, a downspout was eliminated. The install crew could not adjust the final invoice but payment was due. I paid the invoice with the understanding that a refund of $321 would be issued. Ninety-three (93) days later there has been no refund, just promises and excuses. It took over 60 days, and multiple text messages with management to get a bill paid for a damaged screen. I won't go into the major ice cycle problem that we experienced except to summarize their explanation; "You need to wait for 4-6 rains and/or 8 to 10 snows before the system will work as designed. The lubrication needed during the installation process takes time to wear off." SERIOUSLY? Several chemicals would remove the lubricant if that was a problem they were concerned with. Today I learned of major management changes. Not surprising...Find folks who care! It has been a very expensive and very unpleasant experience!

This com[plaint is an addendum to my previous complaint. As a result of my complaint, A week ago Friday I received a call at 8AM from a person "named" Brian show I identified himself as the Director of the North East Region for Leaf Guard. He had reviewed my complaint and told me that someone would het back to me within a day or two to resolve my issue. When asked, Brian gave me his phone number, Four business day later when I had still not heard from Leaf Guard, I called the number Brian had given me and much to my surprise, Had answered the call. When I told him that I was still waiting for a call, he said that he was in the branch that would service me and would have someone call me within and hour or two. It is now six days later and I'm still waiting for the call. I believe that Leaf Guard is built on the corporate culture if lying to the customer. I am sorry I ever started doing business with this company. besides that fact that their product as OK, oy great, they do not stand behind their product.

Pros - friendly staff Cons- was told would never have to climb ladder to clean gutters. This is true but now I have to climb ladder to clear valley overflow guards or blocked screens. Used to have gutters cleaned 2 x a year my son has already climbed The roof 4 times to clear different areas of screen Other option clean them clean screens which is call out and pay $95 Was told gutted overflow bad for fountain. In 20 years never happened. It has now happened 2x. Now told its goid as cleans stuff off screen Front valley no deflection plates as felt to high now get soaked when we get heavy rain as rains pours over leafjunk, ( remember bad for foundation)Was told by sales person 2 gutters needed re-pitched installer said no they where fine As a disabled senior Infelt taken advantage of Asked several times if system will cause ice dams told no yet the last cold day my son poured water onto screen and the water overflowed as screen already frozen. Have cement roof tiles will it dam and crack them. Really worried Considering small claims court maybe get enough people interested and do a class action suit

I wish I could give them less stars. I filled out the form for a free no obligation quote. I thought it would simply give me a guesstimate, which is what their website said. They offer a free quote. I wish I never contacted them. I DID NOT get a free immediate quote, but instead over 100 phone calls over the course of a three day period. I blocked the numbers but they kept coming in from different area codes. After their refusal to be blocked via standard practices, I had to call the company and express my immediate concern for them to stop with the harassment. They had the audacity to ask if I could tell them a reason why. Are you serious? Is this how you get customers? What is I just met a woman, lied to her and then proceeded to call her over 100 times in three days. What do you think would happen? Would she go out with me or would I get warned by law enforcement to stop the harassment... read that again. That is exactly what happened. This is obviously a company wide proclamation of the way to operate their business. My phone notified me that my voice mail was 90% full. ALL OF THAT WAS LEAF GUARD... horrible horrible business practices... and ** have no idea about their product. This is all I needed to know about the company. If you think any of this is false, fill out their online quote to find out what I am talking about. This should be illegal.

The product they are selling does not work. They told us that the pine needles and other small debris would just blow off the gutters. We still have to clean out our gutters. This is not what will were told when we used this company.

THIS COMPANY HAS GIVEN ME A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH FROM THE BEGINNING!!!!!First of all they were late claiming they went to the wrong address yet we confirmed the address several. Upon his arrival I stated again that I wanted an estimate. After his inspection he proceeded with this long presentation which followed by him becoming insistent that we were going to purchase his product. We told him that we really liked it but wanted to discuss among ourselves and would get back with him. He gave us one quote and after questioning him he gave us another quote. He wanted to know why we couldn't decide right then and there. Long story short he claimed he would email me the quote which 2 days later I still haven't received. I called their office and was told that they only give estimates after you purchased their product. So don't believe the free estimate that you expect. They WILL NOT give you one. Lost me as a potential customer. Don't let them bully you because they will try it.

Because we are not familiar with that kind of stuff.

Finally had Leafguard gutter system installed in August 2023 after several change of dates and many phone calls when they changed dates or just didnt show up. Also with guilt put on myself as customer when they had to get a crew to come on a Sunday. At that point I was so upset with their tactics I didnt sympathize at all. As they pulled out of our drive it started raining, guess what, they didnt work. After many phone calls they came out a month or so later and fixed them with patches as well as realigning. Next was our splash pads we paid for and were told they were out of stock. Not until we left a poor review via their own feedback ask did we get a call and they were installed a day later. And guess what! They damaged the one gutter by pulling it out from house when they couldnt get guard underneath. All that was required was removal of some grass. They were here for 8 mins per our camera. So another call to them today and now on a list for maintenance call. Not worth the $7,000. Go with someone else is my recommendation.
