Im currently fighting $1200 in fees over $77 in tolls. I’m in the process of figuring out how to file a class action lawsuit against them and currently in conversations with wmur to shed more light into this scam that is “ez-pass”. So far I’ve left messages twice with the governor and emails and voicemails with DOT. I’ll update this review further as this process plays out. If you’d like to join me in my efforts to expose this corporation please leave your review under mine with a way to contact you I’ll reach out. Enough is enoughReview fromanthony d

Periodically, I am getting a bill from New Hampshire E-Z Pass. They are charging me an extra processing fee. For some reason, occasionally, they are not capturing my transponder. It is in the same place as it is all the time, and I go through the toll twice a day, but it does not work all the time. My transponder is out of state, but this should not matter. I am getting annoyed to have to pay a processing fee each time their system is not working correctly. I tried to call, but was on the phone for 1 1/2 hours, only to the message system keep saying that there are 20 calls ahead of me. Seriously? Do they only have one person working the phones - and that one person was on the phone for 1 1/2 hours with the same customer. New Hampshire EZ pass employer, your system is flawed, and it is disappointing. You seem to have enough technology to take a picture of my car and license plate, but not enough to capture the transponder. Please fix your system.Review fromMary B

I contacted and spoke with EZ Pass NH customer service 6/23/23 to request a letter to support me in contesting extra fee charges I received in NY, NJ, CT, MA after I set up a new online account with a service representative 6/3/23. I explained that I would be traveling from VT to NY, NJ, CT, MA. I clearly stated to the service representative that I typically have no need to use EZ pass since I live in VT and if I do travel to NH there’s only a $1 dollar toll and I never encounter any unnecessary traffic delays. I chose EZ Pass NH because it’s the closet state to VT where we do not have EZ Pass. I let the service representative know I only needed my online account for a trip to NY, NJ, MA, CT. After I asked my questions, it was made clear I wouldn’t have time to pick up or receive a transponder by mail before my trip. The service representative stayed on the phone with me while I set up a new online account before my trip to make sure I knew how to access my account while I was traveling. Upon returning to VT, I learned I now have to contest/pay all the extra fees from states outside of NH because I only am allowed to use my license plate account in NH. I believe I received poor service/marketing advice to sign up for a license plate account without a transponder and the EZ Pass NH website FAQ’s subtitle “I am not an EZ Pass customer” is unclear/misleading because I signed up for an online account and I deposited money for my trip, which I would assume makes me qualify as an EZ Pass “customer”. I have explained these details to EZ Pass NH and said I am willing to contact NY, NJ, MA, CT to pay the regular toll fees. In order to contest the extra fees, I requested a letter from EZ Pass NH, to assume partial responsibility, providing evidence to support my rationale. I requested EZ Pass NH review the phone recording I had with their service representative. 7/27/23 I received a no reply email NH EZ Pass did not locate my phone call and would not provide a letter for me.Review fromAaron T

They ignore disputes regardless of their validity until after the relevant timeframes expire, and then fine you again for not filing disputes on time. They provide inaccurate and deliberately misleading information. They delete your accounts which contain the relevant information to your disputes in a cynical attempt to hide information from the end user and take advantage of them. They do not cash checks in a timely fashion, when they do cash checks, they do not apply those payments correctly. They will apply payments to disputed amounts in order to trick you into paying invalid fines. This is fraud - how are these animals allowed to operate? If they bless you with an acknowledgement, they will mislead you on their processes and what the supposed correct action to take would have been, and it changes from moment to moment depending on what actions you DO take. They expect you to pay amounts you are disputing, and then rely on their good graces to refund the dispute when their very biased examiners review the case. There is zero chance that an employee of EZPass would ever come down in support of the individual instead of their employer. I assume the examiners get kickbacks on these penalties as well. These people have no ethics or integrity, so trusting them to make a legally sound or ethical decision, let alone one that favors the consumer, is foolish to say the least. They dictate that every correspondence they have with you is final. They make these decsions without any accountability. They do not have any transparency into what goes into their idiotic decision making. They paint themselves as the final arbiters of law, but they perform illegal and extortionate tactics in order to bully individuals into paying fines they know to be false and invalid. These people are criminals. A casual glance through reviews and you will see the same issue pop up again and again and again. They lie and manufacture charges to extort the consumer. Put these guys in prison.Review fromCynthia C

EZ Pass NH is impossible to get in touch with. Their ability to do business in the state of NH should be curtailed. There is apparently no overview of their conduct as a business monitoring tolls in NH.Review fromJodi M

One day out of the blue I had a migraine and collapsed by the time I had woken up I had been flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon and was told that I had 3 brain aneurysms and was being prepped for emergency brain surgery the first of 3 that I would have to endure over the next couple months during my 3 month hospitalization and close to a year after while I was bed ridden my Then boyfriend had my car and was apparently going through the ezpass lane at the toll booth and didn't tell me as well as disposing of the letters thar ezpass was sending me as he did not want me to be aware of what he was doing or where he was going during those times . I have since ended the relationship with him and recieved an invoice in the mail from ezpass so I went online to pay it and imagine my shock when I saw well over $1,000 owed from what I believe was something around 46 trips through the ezpass lane I am at a loss for words as the car is in my name and I am now stuck with this outrageous bill and I am only able to work one day a week so needless to say money is beyond tight and my ex boyfriend supposedly moved to Florida and I'm unable to contact him . I have called ezpass several times and waited on hold for over an hour and the one time I got someone on the phone they flat out said there was nothing they could do to help lessen these charges whatsoever and I am not gonna be able to register my car when it's due in November.. I have no issue paying for his trips through the tolls which was around 50$ but well over 1000$ seems outrageous and I will never be able to pay in my current situation and pray to God that you can please help me out of this incredibly hard situation... God bless and thank you for your help and thank you for your time. Plate # NH *******EZ Pass New Hampshire

Impossible to pay invoices for out of staters. I don't understand why my MA EZ pass transponder didn't work to begin with & by the time I was able to locate the invoice number I was unable to pay it as it was after the seven days. Finally was able to locate the invoice number when my mail was forwarded when I moved after becoming pregnant and having my son. I sent a check with my MA transponder number, a print out of it in good standing and sent a check for the amount of the $14.25 in original tolls for my violations. They had no problem cashing the check but apparently did not accept my "dispute". There is mention on a letter I received claiming I may ask for a review within 7 days but when I called to explain to them that I had not even received the letter until much later than that due to mail forwarding (since moving) I was given no alternative or solution. They are now are asking for $400 in administration fees as well as putting a non-renew on my license. SUCH a pain to deal with, almost makes vacationing there not worth it.EZ Pass New Hampshire

MA E-ZPass denied payment stating that your account was invalid on the dates of travel. You will need to reach to MA E-ZPass for more information. As a courtesy I have waived the fees for you. Thank youReview fromKeith B

I owed $500 in tolls. I payed what I owe in tolls and somehow owe $12,000 in fees. How is that even possible? Since working in concord I've had to go through tolls in the morning and because no one is working the toll booths I have to go through the ez pass lane.i have no problem paying for the tolls as I have already done that. However now my registration is locked and cannot register my truck. As a single father with full custody and no money to my name. How am I supposed to get to and from daycare and work with the risk of being arrested. On top of that $12,000 is robbery. I can barely afford to register my vehicle if it wasn't blocked!EZ Pass New Hampshire

Your vehicle is not currently in registration denial with NH E-ZPass.
As instructed in your phone call with Customer Service on 10/4/2022, if you email ************@dot.nh.gov someone would be able to assist you.
