      Do not use CPI!!! They lied to me. Their customer service is terrible. I was under contract with them when I sold my house. I knew there was an early termination fee which I was expecting to pay once I closed on my home. Before closing, CPI called me to authorize the new buyer to continue the service. I agreed. They told me as a result I would not owe the termination fee. I thought that was it. While I still owned the house, CPI allowed the eventual new owner to change my password without letting me know. I nearly had the police called on me for entering my own house! Then to make matters worse, apparently, after I was told I was exonerated from paying the termination fee, a month after I closed on the house, I get a bill from CPI for the termination fee of $1,500. I called them and they said it was a mistake and to not pay the bill. A month later I got another bill. I called again and was treated like a lowlife for not paying my bill. ******* I spoke with was disrespectful. I asked to speak with a manager and after ******* told me repeatedly that the manager would tell me the same thing, he transferred me to a manager. The manager listened to my summary of things and said I had a valid point as to why I did not think I owed the money. He wanted to look further into the matter and PROMISED me he would call me back within 24 hours. No call came. A month later another bill came, with interest accruing and I again called and again asked to speak with a manager. Same story. Today I get a call from a bill collector who said that CPI would take legal action against me to enforce the contract.How is that for great service? I will pay the bill. That was not the issue. I was lied to. I was told two different times I did not owe any money. I was promised twice by managers they would call me back. And today I am told they want to take legal action against me.

      I am totally put out with CPI and their lack of concern in taking care of a simple issue. I have had CPI for over 15 years without an issue. I had a service issue on 1-31. They sent out a tech to make repairs due to system failure not anything I did. There was a fee which I did not agree with but wrote the check anyway. I get a call the following month that my account was past due. I told them I wrote the ************ verified with the tech he got the check & deposited it in their system not for me to worry about it they would clear it up. Month later I get a call about my past due balance and service fee. I explain again what happened & she verified it again with the tech. She was to remove the service ******* gave her the authority to draft my payment as they claim to have never gotten my payment again. All cleared up All done. Now I receive a certified letter & past due notice again. Absurd!! I ask for someone from customer service to call & have not received any call. They just dont care!!

      I'm not surprised at all to see the abysmal ratings on this site. We've been dealing with CPI for months trying to cancel services they've been billing ** for for at least two years now and have not been functional for that entire duration. In fact, the hardware didn't even get installed in one of the locations they've been billing us for, they simply didn't even do the work and then quietly tacked on to our bill. It's been an absolute hassle trying to get the forms they require to cancel these nonexistent services, and now they've turned off all of our services--including the ones we actively use. Their customer service isn't non-existent, it's counterproductive, because when we engage with them they manage to further break what is broken and cause more problems without solving any.

Our records indicate that we received a signed cancellation letter as of February 12th. As a result, the account is being canelled. We hope that one day we are able to restore your faith in us.

      I have been with (CPI) you guys for over a decade and the treatment I get is crappy. The last customer service rep that handled my technical support help was very unpleasant and selfish and not understanding. I have RING and BLINK service also and there customer service skills runs circles around you guys Service help. My CPI indoor camera has been out for months. What am I paying for. The other services has never failed me, I am a disabled veteran with limited abilities to move around in my house. My house is not secure at all with your service. I am about to replace the out of service camera with a "Indoor Ring camera" which is reasonable and it never needs servicing. I have been a loyal customer with you guys paying you every month for over 20 years. You never had to hound me for a past due payment. I shouldn't have to pay you guys to come out to just adjust my camera. I am a veteran on a low monthly income. It's not right how you guys treat loyal customers. I will not sign another contract with your service it has been a terrible terrible experience..

      Thank you for sharing the feedback received by ********************. It is very important to us. I do see that we last spoke to ******************** on January 2nd. He expressed he was having an issue with his indoor camera. We offered to help troubleshoot the device and ******************** declined that option. As a result, the representative attmepted to schedule service and advised of the trip fee associated with the technician visit. ******************** declined this offer as well. If ******************** is still experiencing issues, we would be glad to reach back out to ******************** to resolve.

      Hello,We recently sold our home and we had CPI Security. Upon selling, we were told we would owe the payoff of the equipment. However, we are unable to keep said equipment. Today, we got a letter from a collection agency. I called and I was informed that we are being charged NOT for equipment, but for the remaining months that we are not there. They are charging us for something we get nothing for! AND GOT A NEW CUSTOMER (the people that bought our house). They are double dipping and not only that lying to customers about this information. The general public needs to be aware because I would have NEVER went with them to begin with.

      ***************** had CPI come to my home because I could no longer control my garage door from my cell phone. That was 12/6/2023. Since then my garage has repeatedly opened and closed arbitrarily. In fact there was an instance where I was out and an intruder entered my garage (I have evidence that I had closed it upon my departure).I called 911 and the police were at my home when I got home. CPI was also alerted. Since then I have constantly had to call. CPI to get them to respond to correcting this issue and although the techs were good, their tech servicers blatantly lie and say they tried to reach out to me and claim to have left me voicemails, and tried to reach out to me which is absolutely lies. In this day & age there are trails to see communications. They claim I cannot cancel my acct. and have to complete my contract. In fact when I told them I wanted to cancel the guy actually said to me well that aint gonna happen!!Do not hire them!!

      I requested to discontinue my "service agreement" for two reasons. First, my system never collectively worked. I also had an additional camera that was never installed and I never knew about until I called in for service. Very curious? I'm a single woman who doesn't have the time to sit at home waiting on technicians. Nor do I want to spend time troubleshooting my equipment. During the time I had non service with CPI my father went into hospice and passed away. He lived 3 hours away.Second and more importantly, I needed to free up money to help my son and daughter in law. My 10yo granddaughter was recently diagnosed with cancer. When I called to cancel my service, I was charged another *****, and then sent an additional bill for ****** for early cancelation and equipment. I've been a customer for close to 3 years paying ***** every month. There are qualities called empathy and decency that this company seems to lack. And these qualities should start from the top down. The internet does not shine a good light on CPI and those start at the top. It takes another level of greed to send a bill to a family who is trying to come together for a very sick little girl who is traveling from Summerville to ********* to receive treatment. And, we don't know what the future looks like. Does CPI really need this money to stay afloat and show excellent profit margins? The ***** would have made a big difference in my life. Still, I would rather be me with a heart and broke over the *** of this company and all his riches. Happy Holidays Scrooge!!!

      The entire system was off-line (disconnected from cell service and WiFi) for entire days, September 7th and September 12th, 2023, as shown on the activity logs. No alerts were sent to the monitoring station and the app looked completely normal. On both dates when I arrived home from work, it was obvious that someone had been in my home. There was also evidence that someone had unlocked the door under user slot 251 as shown in the activity logs. I live alone and there was no one else with legal access to my home at that time. On four separate occasions the tech support team have commented that they have seen things happen on my system that they have never seen before. I moved to this home due to a domestic violence situation but this system and the app has too many flaws to work as promised. I have sent two emails asking for my money back without a response. CPI cannot rectify the situation as they sell the perception of security, not real security. I am not safer by using this system.

      Called cpi customer service on 3 separate dates 10/27/2023 11/28/2023 & 12// 05/2023 regarding issues with accessing my live camera from my cell phone, even speaking with a supervisor on matter on 12/05/2023 matter was still unresolved and there are refusing to send out a technician to resolve matter despite 3 prior unsuccessful attempts because supervisor explaining there is no issue detected on there end and if I need a technician it will be at my expense

      Thank you for your assistance in forwarding the complaint submitted by ****************. We apologize for any frustrations **************** has experienced. We have reviewed Mr. ******* account in its entirety and have determined the following: On October 27th, November 28th and December 5th, **************** contacted us to advise that he could not stream his cameras on his phone and that he did not think the cameras were working. We advised each time that there were not any trouble conditions and that when we tried on our end, the cameras came up immediately with no issues. We advised him to try to stream the cameras on a different device to see if it was a device issue. He demanded a technician out. However, if we route a technician out to his home, a trip fee is warranted. We apologize if **************** does not agree with this but this is the standard company policy.

      CPI is impossible to deal with when canceling services. We moved out of our house for a renovation and our system was disarmed and dismantled in August 2023. I couldnt get a person to help me cancel my service for nearly 4 months. They told me they would transfer me (after being on hold for a very long time), and then I was disconnected. They told me they would call me back and they didnt. Finally when I was able to get it cancelled in NOVEMBER 2023 they wouldnt backdate the 4 months and refund me. I strongly discourage using CPI. Their customer service is subpar, and they make it impossible to cancel.
