"******" called me to rant about timeshares and maintenance increases... I asked a number of times if he worked for ************* in *********, and each time he lied and said he did. I finally hung up on him, but he called right back to insist how important this was, and again lied about his connection, or lack of, with my timeshare company. So I listened impatiently as he signed me up for one of the 'special meetings' in the area, but even after that, he went on to blather about time shares and owner notifications of maintenance increases... on and on. I finally hung up again. This guy won't shut up. I hope no one misses me at the 'special owners meeting".

We were enticed to a meeting by a phone call promising information about how best to use our timeshare points. We were promised either $50 in cash or a $300 restaurant gift card for our attendance, so we figured "why not?" As soon as we got there, we realized from the questionnaire they gave us that it was not an advisement group; it was one of these time share exit companies. So number 1, it was false advertising. Their fees for "helping' to exit your timeshare is 4 year of maintenance payments. Since we own a points-based timeshare with ********, they basically told us that they could get ******** to basically just take back the points. They pointed out that ******** would have no loss in doing so, because they could just make more money by re-selling the points. So, number 2, why we would pay this company over $20K to give back our points for free? If ******** takes back the points, I'm sure they would do it ourselves. We politely told them that we were not interested at this time. Finally, we asked about the promised restaurant gift card, which they had assured us could be used at just about any restaurant, including national chains like ***** ******* *********, etc. They assured us it would be sent via e-mail within two days. It wasn't. A couple of weeks later, we called and they subsequently sent the certificate. It was not what they promised. It was simply an invitation to a program that would give us a $25 a month credit towards a minimum $50 **** at an EXTREMELY limited selection (almost none in our area) of not-very-popular restaurants. And we would only get the next month's certificate if we used the previous one. A completely useless "gift" that, if we had been honestly informed of what it was, we would have chosen the cash instead. So, number 3, if they are this dishonest about something small, how can you trust them at all?DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They engage in fraudulent practices!

I wasnt as lucky, I got sucked in and lost money with them. They sweet talk you about how they will get you Out of your obligation with your time share then after you agree to all the things they are and will do for you, you realize its all lies. They promise you so much then the heavy comes in and bullies you. Stay far away. I am widowed and couldnt afford my payments any longer and dont travel anymore so I thought this was good for me to do. What a terrible mistake!!

We were attracted to a meeting that was billed as a review and information meeting about changes to our timeshare. Turns out it was to talk you into paying them a fee and turning your timeshare over to them so they can "dispose" of it as they see fit- which means selling it to someone else and giving nothing to you. After 4 hours of jabber and 11:00 at night, it seemed the right thing to do to get out of the annual fees. Fortunately, we had second thoughts and canceled the transaction before we lost all of the $100K we had paid for the timeshare. Our timeshare has a contracted company that handles timeshare sales so you can get money back.
