My husband and I rented a vehicle for a week. We landed in ******* and went to pick-up the rental that was already paid in full. At check in we do not have the credit card in which was used for the reservation as it was compromised; we do have the replacement card. At first they were unsure if we could even get the vehicle but eventually take the new card information and send us on our way. We drop the vehicle back off as per the agreement and head home. 7 days from the return, we receive an email from a collection agency that we have $28.21 past due balance. 7 days (with no contact) and a $28.21 **** gets sent to a collection agency?! After me calling them 3 additional times to get this figured out, I had to speak with the accounting department as no one knew how to add a replacement credit card. I was informed that it is their standard business practice to send any past due balance immediately to collections. Since this started and ended as your error, maybe pick-up the phone and call or email your customers.Review fromSunny H

Alamo is the worst car rental company. The car we rented from ****** last December didn't even have any brake pad left when drove down from a more than ***** high mountain. Also their customer service people were super rude and they even asked ** to go back to airport to change the car by ourselves. The car had a lot of maintenance issues. For example, since the moment we got the car, it had the front window wash liquid light on, but they said the tank was full, no brake pad, smells bad inside, etc.. And their customer service is the worst too.Review fromPaulo O

*****/ ********* * My wife rented a car from Expedia to pick up at ***** they location at Vix airport in vitória Brazil, when we arrived to pick the car, ***** didn’t have any desk not even a agent working there, after we ask some other rental car company, a third party company said ***** send all their reservation to them but they didn’t received anything on my wife name. They couldn’t find the reservation and didn’t have available car for us. But the same day we booked they post charge on our credit card for $341.00 as parcial payment and so far we did got any refund yet. We emailed them, Expedia agent emailed them as well and so far we still didn’t get any answer from them. Definitely we will file a complaint but is very frustrating to plan a family vacation counting the well named company like ***** will make our vacation smooth and ended on this situation.Review fromAugustus C

Alamo has taken $400 from me in the form of a refundable deposit and refuses to return it or prove that they've sent a refund. Several times over the phone, the ****** tech support told me yes I would be getting my deposit back. Several weeks later I reach out via email, and **************************** tells me the money was released, which it wasn't. That went back and forth a bit until he stopped responding, at which point I contacted the BBB. Later on, ****************************** (who couldn't wipe her a** if I **** a map) told me the same thing, she sent pictures that still didn't prove that they attempted to return my deposit. They also told me that they only take $300 for deposits, I asked why did the rep I delt with when I rented the car make me sign a $400 check in order to rent the **** thing? No one has given me an answer, Alamo keeps pushing me away and stopping all contact. I feel like I've been financially raped and at this point I'm still complaining based off principle alone. In other words, do not rent from this filthy, stealing, better-than-you, dirt bag company.Review fromAriana A

THIS COMPANY EMPLOYS THIEVES AND LIARS, do not book with them! They say they have Covid cleaning procedures in place but fail to find my VERY LARGE PROFESSIONAL CAMERA that was tucked under the seat to deter anyone breaking into the vehicle while I was stopped at a gas station. Within two hours of dropping the vehicle off and calling them, it was never located because LOST AND FOUND IS CLOSED ON WEEKENDS IN ************ the employee who cleaned the car never found such an expensive item when it had no other place to disappear. Good job, Alamo Rent A Car!Review fromAnna C

I rented a car from the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Alamo location. I accidentally left my wallet in the car when I returned it. Someone who had access to the car at the Alamo searched through my wallet and made fraudulent charges on two of my cards. Since this wallet was left in the car, I imagine the people who would have access to the car prior to it being cleaned and the wallet being discovered would be employees of Alamo. I reported the wallet as missing, and the wallet was quickly reported as found... BY ALAMO. So the wallet never left the car. I requested that someone tell me what was left in the wallet before I paid to ship it home, but despite leaving multiple voicemails and attempting to reach someone through the customer service chat, I was never given any information about the remaining contents in the wallet. I paid to have it shipped back not knowing if the entire wallet was gutted, or if some of my items remained. Upon receiving it I see that ONLY my financial cards were missing but other items like membership cards were still intact. I made several complaints about having my wallet compromised and fraudulent charges on my accounts, likely from an employee. I did receive ONE email back with a reference number for my complaint. I haven't heard anything else. That email was received on 10/13/2022. I have emailed back requesting follow-up. I have made additional complaints on their website... and still, no real response or help. It seems like their employee ransacked my wallet and they just want to ignore me until I go away instead of acknowledging this happened. I am frustrated that my wallet was compromised in their possession, and I am irate that my concerns have been ignored. I will NEVER do business with them again and I will warn everyone I know to avoid Alamo Rent A Car. They are an unethical business with no interest in customer service.Review fromRobin K

Alamo Car Rental is a terrible rental car company. 1st give one price and if something changes up price to suit them. 2nd Give you run around about who can correct issue (makes you go find a different person). 3rd makes you feel terrible about whats going on. 4th put issue aside to help someone else ( 3 hours later leave with car over paid and frustrated and crying).Review fromArkell H

I have been waiting on my deposit since the beginning of July and here it is now August and still haven't gotten my deposit back. I returned the car with a full tank of gas and no issues. I don't understand why it's taking so long to refund my deposit back.Review fromjesenia p
