I signed up for CenterPoint Home Repair in November, I am being billed $56.95 monthly. I called on 3/19 about my water heater needing repair. The technician came out looked at my water heater, told me there was no part number on the water heater said he couldn't work on it because there was no part # and left total time 5 minutes. I than called on 3/23 about my grill and dish washer. The technician was supposed to be here between 8am and noon on 3/24. I called CenterPoint at 12 pm and asked where the technician was, I had been told me he had an emergency and wouldn't be here for an hour. The whole time I was missing work and had to keep calling in and putting off work. At 1:30 I saw a Center Point truck outside and at 2pm he came in. I asked why he was outside the last half hour, and he told me he was having lunch. I said so you're out having lunch, and I have a job to go to but my job doesn't matter. He came in looked at the dishwasher told me he would be ordering parts for the dishwasher. He went out looked at the grill said it was heating up but would also be ordering parts for the grill. I talked to him about my water heater and the prior visit by the other technician. He agreed to look at the water heater and said the description tag was gone on the water heater. He told me because of the ventilation pump motor on the top of the water heater and the temperature control on the bottom of the water heater. He could cross reference the two parts and get the specific part number for the water heater. He said the other technician was just being lazy and was going by Center Points rules. So, after a month of nothing getting fixed I started calling CenterPoint they sent a third tech out he said he would order the parts for the grill. I have called 4 times trying to find out about the parts for the dishwasher never got a call back. I called 4 times to talk to a supervisor and got no calls back. When you charge for a service and don't give a service that's fraud.

I am rejecting this response because:  There were several possibilities that were shared by the techs, a bearing and a tub support, however both said they could not be certain and that we needed to buy a new washer.  No communication of bearings not being covered until this response and no confirmation it was a bearing as the unit was not disassembled.  (There were no noises associated with a bad bearing and the tub still rotated without issue)

I am rejecting this response because:
The original work was done with the city of ***********. The company went into every home and messed with the main drain and toilet. The employee who was here stated that he cracked the main drain and had to come back the next day. The employee never came back and that is what caused the flooding. On Feb 16th I had to pay out of pocket to just get someone back out here to stop the flooding. I can call the city to get the date and any info on the work.

      *******:

This message responds to your complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Minnesota regarding issues related to water backed up in your property at the address noted above.

CenterPoint Energy records show that an Emergency Main Drain cleanout was performed at your property on February 16, 2025. At that time, heavy scale buildup was found for the first 20 feet of drain pipe. After cleaning out this pipeline, the drain was found to be functioning properly with no further backup issues.
Please note that CenterPoint Energy has no record of performing recent work on the gas service line at your property or near your address.
If you have further questions regarding this issue, please respond to this message.
      Sincerely,

CenterPoint Energy did not cause issues with the drain line and was not performing work in this area. However, as noted in Ms. ****** complaint, the City of *********** had recently done work at the property.

CenterPoint Energy has successfully resolved the issue by performing a Main Drain cleanout as requested by the customer.
