We needed to simple things done, replace a receptacle and a light switch. The guy tried to convince us we should have them review all our electrical outlets, etc., for $7,000. We told him we did not need that. He then wanted us to pay more than $1200 to do 3 things that would have taken 30 minutes. After talking with his manager or someone at his office, they said they could do the two things we needed for over $800. We had to sign several legal documents before they would do the work. It took 15 minutes to do the work. I have never felt more ripped off. This is a totally unethical company that does not give you an estimate, and then high pressures you to sign something to protect them legally before doing the work. I would recommend that nobody use their services. Art H

Both employees that visited our home were very professional. The best aspect of Service Today Company was how quickly they respond to our house. Incredibly prompt. Another impressive feature of Service Today is how thorough each employee explained everything they saw and found.

I strongly advise against using this company. We used "****" to find another company that works on basements for a second opinion. There was an auto call from this company to set up an appt. When I did end up talking to someone, I explained our issue in detail. They scheduled an appt for the same day (which I thought was awesome). *** came, walked down to our basement, said they do not work on the problem we have and charged us the $75 dispatch fee. (The fee was explained to us when I scheduled and I was totally fine with that if the person could give us some insight/second opinion). But the person did nothing. Didn't inspect anything or offer guidance on possible next steps. My BF paid for the visit since I wasn't home. I called that afternoon asking why we were charged for literally nothing except for a guy to drive out to tell us they don't work on this issue. I asked for a refund. Got told my request would be sent to someone else. Never heard back. This was July 5th. I have since called a few more times (4-5 at this point) and have been told the same thing over and over again. Today, August 14th, I was told it's still pending manager approval. At this point, I am sure I am getting the run around and I feel like they're just waiting for us to forget about it. I was going to wait to write this review until the issue has been settled. I feel like I have been beyond patient at this point and my calls are going no where. The people I have talked to seem polite and professional enough. But I cannot recommend this company based on this experience alone. Maybe others have had better luck.UPDATE: I received a call the same day, shortly after writing this review. My boyfriend's refund was approved and in the bank the next day. I'm sure it was just a coincidence on timing from review to phone call to refund. I still stick with my original review on this company, however. The refund is definitely appreciated. But it should not have taken the length of time it did

We had a Diakin mini split air conditioner installed by Air Tech in 2016 with a warranty of 12 years extended parts, labor and compressor. Sometime in 2018 Service Today bought the company. In April 2023 the unit was not cooling, we called for service. Service person said he really didn’t have the right equipment to find a leak but found one anyway in an upstairs unit. He said he fixed the leak and filled it with refrigerant. The bill was $502.20 for service call and $856.80 for refrigerant. Told the service person we have a warranty. He said he would tell his boss and they would get back to us. Unfortunately we paid the bill hoping to get the amount resolved. Never heard back from them. We got an email back saying they didn’t charge for the repair and the rest of the service was not covered under the warranty. We sent two more emails asking to explain the details of their warranty. We never received a response back. One month later the unit quit cooling again. We called another company for a service call. They found a big leak inside the compressor unit and are ordering a new part which will be covered under Daikin warranty. They only charged $149.00 for the service call, and a little for the refrigerant added to find the leak. He also checked where Service Today said the leak was. He found that they could not have found a leak and repaired it because all the insulation around the pipes were the leak would have been was undisturbed, no sign of any work being done. He also said if they would have installed the unit we would have their warranty if ten years parts and labor for 10 years. So Service Today just filled it up with refrigerant and left. We will be staying with the new company for all our repairs. Don’t use Service Today they are untrustworthy, don’t honor their warranty and way overpriced.

We had a home furnace and A/C system installed by AirTech less in Oct. 2020 and the A/C system had multiple leaks and we had water all the furnace and floor from condensation. We called the 24 hour service line for AirTech and was informed that ServiceToday! now owns AirTech but a tech could not come out to our house to look at the issue for a month and also informed they would not guarantee any of the work from the company they purchased, AirTech, despite having a nearly identical logo to AirTech. ServiceToday! purchased AirTech and their client list but would not stand behind AirTech's work despite being the new owners of that company. We had to pay a different HVAC company over $1000 to repair all the poor brazens done during the installation. ServiceToday! management confirmed they will not stand behind AirTech's work and will not reimburse us for repairs even though they own AirTech.

ServiceToday came out for a free hearing/air tuneup. In the process, the technician “smelled gas” in the basement (I didn’t smell any) and called a plumber to inspect the gas piping. Within a few hours, I was told I had 10 different leaks in a small section of black iron piping, and that it would cost up to $13K to replace. I called CerterPoint energy to confirm this since they are neutral in the repair game. CenterPoint found NO LEAKS, and asked for the name of ServiceToday to report them-unfortunately, this has been happening a lot.

We were having trouble with our Daikin mini-split, so we called for service. They found a leak in one of the units. They repaired the leak and added some refrigerant. The total bill was $1,359.00, $502.20 for diagnostic and $856.80 for refrigerant. That is way overpriced compared to other companies that I later called for prices. Don’t use this company!

Charged around $500 for a diagnostic fee and then told static air pressure required additional work from $6500 - 9000. Got a second opinion and they said everything was fine. I'll never do business with Service Today again.
