      Read the bad reviews as theyre here for a reason. Theyre all true. I had Service Today for my HVAC for over 10 years.However, I started to see a pattern after each service visit one in the fall and one in the spring they always found something that was wrong And this was happening on every visit. Their last visit they told me I needed $1800 worth of work on my system. However, this time I was disgusted and determined to get satisfaction!!I called County HVAC ***** He came out and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my system. And **** has been servicing, not only me but my two neighbors as well for the last four years! oh and by the way that Service Today $1800 problem that I supposedly needed , well my system is still running fine 4 years later thanks to ****!

      Beware of Service Today. My AC (they installed) stopped working this Summer. Since it was still under warranty I called to have them come look at it. They definitely took advantage of my lack of understanding of HVAC systems and tried to sell me on additional parts and labor that I did not need. (Confirmed by CenterPoint Energy/savers plus) who came out a few days later. Service today replaced the capacitor in my Air Conditioner with one they had in the truck. I asked for an ITEMIZED receipt for the service and they Would not give me one. I have asked several times for an itemized receipt with no results or success and no one is able to tell me the charge for the service call, labor, or the replacement part. I have called Todd several times and he has never returned my call. Apparently they have meetings 24/7 as he is always in a meeting?! I wish I had checked the BBB site prior to using them.

      I can't believe this company is given good marks by the BBB. They tried to sell me an $8000 repair. When I balked, suddenly there was a $1000 option. I accepted that service (stupid, anxious me), and they charged me for it even before I scheduled the service. I decided to get a second opinion and was told that they were screwing me over. I called to cancel the service, and the receptionist seemed very habituated to my statement that I felt I was taken advantage of. Then I was told it would take 30 days to get a refund on my credit card--for a service I hadn't even scheduled. I have left multiple messages on their feedback form and have had absolutely ZERO response for a week. And the charge is still on my credit card. I feel like the world's biggest sucker for ever hiring them, and I want others to avoid my regret.

      In short, service today came over to install a light fixture and then convinced me that circuits have been damaged by lightning and the house was in imminent fire danger. Gave me two quotes for repairs ranging from 9,000 to 14,000. Had another electrician come in and after full inspection inform me it was absolutely nothing wrong with my wiring. Service today did not respond to my call to discuss the quotes and kept reminding me that my house was at risk. This was obviously an attempt to pressure me into a unneeded and expensive repair

      My encounter with Service Today was a regrettable ordeal that left me feeling scammed and deeply disappointed. Their representatives consistently misled me with promises of efficient service and fair pricing, only to present outrageously inflated quotes ranging from $16,000 to an astounding $50,000 for repairs that were later deemed unnecessary. As if that wasn't enough, the process dragged on endlessly, consuming an exorbitant amount of time and causing undue stress. What's more alarming is their reliance on deceptive tactics such as discussing "voltage drop" to confuse and overcharge unsuspecting customers. If there's one piece of advice I can offer, it's to steer clear of Service Today at all costs. This company's practices are unethical and predatory, and I strongly urge others to avoid the distress and financial strain that comes with engaging their services.

      Joe *****, an experienced electrician from Service Today solved the problem with the outdoor lighting fixture next to my garage door. It will not need to be replaced so i am very pleased with today’s visit!

      Service Today experience was generously a 1 star experience. Short version: Leaking hot water heater needed to be replaced. Service Today offered quotes ranging from $6.5k to over $20k. Lied about gas leaks and water pressure being too high. Lied about needing to change to a different type of water heater and venting system. Tried to upsell a dozen things we didn't need. Used strong arm sales tactics. Had the work done by someone else for about $1.5k. Verified no gas leaks and water pressure is fine. Long version: I did a little research and expected to spend around $1k to $2k. Like an idiot, called "Service" Today before reading reviews. First red flag: ST offered no quote over the phone. First tech comes: Check gas lines with his "sniffer" and found leaks all over the place (false). He told me his supervisor/manager would have to come later in the day to give the actual quote. WTF? Why didn't the guy who can actually quote come? Supervisor Tom comes: Tests water pressure and says it's way too high (false) which may be causing some of the issues. Our exhaust is all bad would need a forced air vent out the wall instead and a different type of water heater. Confirms gas leaks all over (false). Finally offers a quote. THE CHEAPEST OPTION WAS $6,477.00. Other options ranged up to $21k. Tom then needs to call the big boss/strong arm dummy. I didn't want to agree to anything until speaking with my wife. They insisted "it's a liability issue if you don't decide right now" or something to that effect. Told them to sign me up for the next appointment to get him to leave. The next morning I called other companies and got quotes on the phone and cancelled my ST appointment. Had the work done for $1.5k all-in. Gas company found no leaks with their sniffer on lowest setting, sprayed soapy water to watch for bubbles, and shut off gas appliances to watched the meter not move at all.

      I'm having a terrible experience with this company. Went to my home to check the humidifier that wasn't working properly. The technician said it was OK, but pointed out that the static pressure was 0.5 w.c. and that was the upper limit from the manufacturer's spec. That high pressure was probably the cause of my AC breakdown 2 years ago (only 8 years of life) and was accelerating the wear and tear of my furnace that was recommended to be replaced (with only 10 years of life) and ductwork needed. Long story short, ServiceToday! installed a new furnace that now operates at 0.7 w.c. It has been a nightmare to get a solution and I completely lost trust that I will get a resolution. I have never felt more ripped off.
